During covid, my back tooth cracked, a crown broke, it was just all not good. Going to see Dr. Salesky and his team was the smartest thing I've done. Judgement free and an amazing staff. The first thing he asked me is "what don't I like about my smile". At first I was a bit surprised since the back of my mouth needed help but I told him one of my teeth looks discolored. Well not only did Dr. Selensky and his team jump into action repairing the back teeth but before I left, he had adjusted the shade of my front area tooth and it was like a gift. Gentle, kind, patient and so very thoughful. That is for everyone in the office. They all go above and beyond. Simply amazing. My message: Don't be afraid, just call and I know you will feel the same way. I've been with him now for a few years and he takes his time discussing options, your choice always and while my teeth were not in amazing shape, I trusted him and today I left there with tears in my eyes because my smile had never looked better. You don't know how good it feels to smile until you haven't been smiling for a long time. Thank you to all of you at Southington Dentistry - keep making the world smile! Goldstein and Waterman who are no longer affiliated with the practice. But, at my last visit, I was disappointed by the lack of standard of dental care I received. First, the hygienist, Laurie, who wasn't the one I had made an appointment with, kept me waiting 15 minutes. After she cleaned my teeth, she didn't polish or floss them; nor did she ask me if I wanted a fluoride treatment, which I usually get. Then, a dentist, Dr. Zhang, unfamiliar to me, briefly looked at my teeth and told me I needed "overlays" on a few of my bottom teeth which have been slightly chipped for years. Dr. Zhang did not visually and physically check my face, neck, lips, tongue and throat for any abnormal lumps, red or white patches, or sores. She did not ask me to bite down to evaluate tooth alignment and check for temporomandibular joint disorder or teeth grinding or check the depth of spaces between my teeth and gums to screen for gingivitis or periodontitis. When I asked about my regular dentist, Dr. Wateman, Dr. Zhang told me he no longer worked there. Due to the lack of standard of dental care provided by Newington Family Dental Practice and recent turnover rate of personnel, I would not recommend this practice.

I recently had a new patient visit and cleaning at Hartford Dental Associates and was very…read moreimpressed. My appointment started on time, a huge plus from the beginning. Everyone was very friendly and conversational. First, Heidi (Dental Assistant) took all of my x-rays and photographs of my teeth; she was very thorough. Next, I had my exam with Dr. Berry, who was also friendly, and I could tell he likes to joke around, which was nice, given a lot of people are anxious during dental appointments. I had a few questions, which he answered and explained next steps. Lastly, Brittnae (Registered Dental Hygienist) did my cleaning. She measured all of my periodontal pockets -- something I've never had done before, so I was highly impressed by the level of attention and care they give their patients. Brittnae explained everything she was doing and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, she was very gentle on my teeth and gums during the cleaning. The office takes all COVID safety precautions, which was such a relief. Everyone wears a mask (surgical or N95 or both), and I noticed HEPA filters throughout the office.
