We've been using Fees for some years and last year we decided to go with a competitor as a few guys were lured by the small difference in price. Tonight I had some halibut that was processed from Fees year before last and I was so impressed with the quality and freshness it maintained I called Becky and told her so and asked her to pass along to her Auntour gratitude and greetings. These ladies are just the best. So yes you may pay a little more but what you get is damn near restaurant grade portions that are vacuumed sealed with thick bags, and you don't have to drive away to get everything processed. Today my shipment of fresh processed fish from my fishing adventure arrived at my door just as promised by Fee's custom Seafood. I was truly impressed with the secure packaging. My vacuum sealed fish were sealed with artificial "ice" blocks which were still frozen solid as a rock upon arrival. My fish were inside a sealed shipping box which contained a styrofoam cooler. It was in perfect shape. These folks know what they are doing and go the extra mile to ensure your fish is beautifully processed and quickly shipped to your door on the day you choose it to arrive. We went on a charter in Wittier and had a little over 100 lbs of fish to process with Fee's. We dropped off the fish and arranged processing, freezing, packaging and shipping. We were in there less than 20 minutes. I got the fish today delivered to San Diego. The fish looks great and is well packaged for storage in the freezer. The pricing for processing was reasonable. Shipping is pricey, but that's on fedex and UPS. If we ever make it back to Wittier, I would definitely go back to Fee's. Fee and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I can't recommend Fee's enough!! They were incredibly kind, friendly, and super accommodating for us. They offered helpful recommendations on how to get our fish home, we were able to purchase some of their fresh catch, and they told us how/where to store or fish until we were ready. We had just shy of 50 pounds that they processed, froze, and packaged for us (as well as sharing their stories and friendship!) Everyone working there was a true joy for us to meet and talk with, and they really made our Alaskan trip a memorable one. read more

I went in with 20 lbs of halibut and 10 lbs of Rockfish. Fees processed it into 1lb servings, vacuum packed and in my cooler. There were 3 of us in the party who elected to get the processing to go, instead of shipped, since we live local(ish). So a total of 90 lbs of fish to be processed, and they had it done in less than an hour. One of the guys in our group was staying at Alyeska, and told the proprietor he intended to freeze the fish in his hotel room. She discouraged him from doing that, due to the small freezer size available and offered to, at no extra charge, freeze it for him and drop it off with the hotel concierge on Wednesday on her way into town. The charter service recommended Fee's, and I can see why. Great job! read more

Owners and staff very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. A friend and I came up on vacation to go fishing and needed to get several pounds processed after a charter and shore fishing. One night they were in the process of closing up when we arrived and they opened right up for us to help us out. It's really kind of sad. My family and I went on a vacation to Alaska and went fishing for halibut out of Whittier. We were referred to this company through the company that we used to go on a Halibut fishing trip. We were successful with our days catch and all of us were anxious and excited to have our catch shipped home; it is part of the reason why we decided to spend so much on the fishing trip in the first place. I phoned Fee's to ask about what options we had about having the fish shipped at a later date because we would be boarding an 8 day cruise ship and wouldn't be home to receive the package, the woman on the phone assured me that this is what they do all the time and having it shipped on the date of our choosing wouldn't be a problem. We arrived at their store's location after our fishing trip. We had with us 22 pounds of fish, all halibut expect one that was a Yellow Eye. When we caught the Yellow Eye the entire boat wanted to keep that fish, people were raving about the flavor of the meat and many said that it was a preferred meat in flavor over halibut; so we were excited to have it sent home and try it. Our catch was weighed and we were asked when we wanted it shipped home. Because we were paying to have the fish processed and packaged, we were informed that it wouldn't be extra to have them keep it frozen until our delivery date. We had an in-depth conversation about the delivery date. They told us to pick a date where we would be CERTAIN that we would be home and even made jokes about how UPS will leave it on your door step to "rot" otherwise. Our delivery date was selected and we paid $214 in full at that time. Upon our return from our cruise, we found the package of fish sitting on our doorstep in 100+ degree weather and had been sitting there for 7 days. The entire 22 pounds of fish had to be thrown in the garbage! Fee's had mailed it over a week before our selected shipment date. We phoned them and told them what had happened. They sent us 22 pounds of halibut for its replacement, when asked about the Yellow Eye, they said they didn't have any in stock...apparently someone had come in and purchased the Yellow Eye that was seen in the freezer while we were there in person. No discount was provided and no additional fish was added. I understand that mistakes happen, but am just disappointed that no discount was offered, this store sells lots of seafood products, you would think that with their error they would try and make it right. When all you do is package and ship fish, how did this happen? What a waste. read more
