On the day of his appointment, we were seen promptly and given the utmost respect. Throughout my husband's Mohs surgery, I was kept apprised of the progress of his procedure. As the treated area on his forehead heals, the scar is barely visible. Prior to my husband's appointment, I read about Dr. Perlis's stellar medical training, but I was unaware of his equally exceptional caring attitude. I took a chance going to Legacy for this rather intimidating procedure and I am thrilled with the results, and the way I was treated and cared for during the process. Their office is easy to reach and park, with a spacious and attractive reception area. I first went for a consult (free) to explore options. Everything was on the table, from a better moisturizer to a face lift. I knew nothing. The lovely esthetician Cammy advised a Laser Cool Peel treatment as a first step. She explained everything clearly and patiently, from what to expect during the treatment, to healing process, after-care protocol, and price. I scheduled the procedure for two weeks out. On treatment day everything went as explained. We took "before" pictures, then my face was numbed for about 30 minutes with a topical gel, then the laser procedure took less than 15 minutes. I was sent home with sample sized healing serums, balm and sunscreen. That night I experienced the expected "sunburn" type redness and with the serum and balm it was virtually pain-free. The next day most of the redness was gone and I was just left to wait for the stages of healing and peeling. I had no unpleasant side effects at all. One week post-procedure I went for a quick follow up and advice for skin care maintenance products. Cammy sent me home again with some more samples to try before I invest the several hundred dollars some of these creams cost. So, I called - was put on hold for several minutes, and hung up on. My next call was to my attorney. Medical debt in PA expires after 4 years so even if there were a balance (which there isn't) they wouldn't be entitled to it. SO BIZARRE. So I sent them an email. And got the attached in response. Then a follow-up email to my emails telling them to contact my attorney if they feel I owe them a debt. They responded and apologized for the confusion, explained the email was that they are basically passing their costs for accepting a credit card onto the patient (disguised as a cash discount which is an OLD and unethical practice), but not for hanging up on me. This place is sketchy from start to finish. Find somewhere else.

He tried a course of antibiotics, then tested to see if the infection was still there, ordered a Cat Scan, and then highly recommended surgery to drain my sinus. I scheduled a consult for what I believed were symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. When I called to…read moremake the appointment, the receptionist asked if I had gotten an EMG of my hand yet (a nerve conduction study that measures the extent of any possible nerve damage). I said I had not, she said the Dr. usually "prefers" that you have that first. I said I wasn't having it for a month, she scheduled the appointment for within a week of my call (so 3 weeks before my test). I arrived. The first thing I noticed were the upgraded light fixtures on the exterior of the door compared to the other buildings in the complex. The next thing I noticed was that one was completely smashed and judging by the oxidation had been so for a very long time. Not the best first impression. I entered the building and the receptionist was on the phone. She didn't look up, didn't smile, didn't give me "just a minute" gesture. She just ignored me as I stood a respectful distance from the counter. Another woman appeared and approached me. I introduced myself and stated the doctor I was there to see (Dr. Kim). The first woman finished her call, hung up the phone, turned to her co-worker and said "What does it want?" I said, "Excuse me? I'm not an it, I'm a he. And he is standing two feet in front of you and doesn't appreciate being spoken to as if he isn't there." I know - over the top perhaps, but to refer to someone standing less than a yard away in the third person and as an "it" is unacceptable to me at a Walmart, let alone in a medical setting. I finish checking in, paying my co-pay, and sit in the waiting area. I am the only person there. Eventually I'm pulled out of my reverie of counting all the burned out bulbs in the over-the-top chandeliers on the ceiling and am escorted back to see the doctor. I follow a woman into an exam room and she doesn't say - "have a seat, the Dr. will be right with you." Instead, she says "come in." I come in, she turns, closes the door from the outside and I'm left there wondering "WTF?" In comes Dr. Kim. He asks me why I'm there, asks what medications I'm on (which I'd already filled out on their online patient history portal which they make a huge deal about and which he obviously hadn't bothered to read.). He tapped my carpal tunnel on the palm of my hand and asked if that made the symptoms appear. I said no. He bent my hand forward at a 90 degree angle - I said that makes my hand go numb. He said - "OK, come back when you have your EMG results." Normally, I wouldn't say anything in that situation, but after having been called an 'it" and having been charged a co-pay for that farce of a visit - I'd had enough. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. "Your receptionist knew I had scheduled, but hadn't had my EMG when she made this appointment. You're going to charge me my $40 co-pay to tap my palm and bend my wrist one time -- only to tell me to see you when I've had the test?" He smiled and walked out. I will NOT be coming back. EVER.

And now I'm stuck with a bill- I keep trying to call the billing office but they call when I'm at work and are only open until 4:30 pm... so I can't even call on my lunch break because they never answer the phone- every single has to leave a message it seems and you just hope they call back at a time you can answer... this makes no sense. I am now having to juggle communication with my insurance company- who did answer the phone unlike these people at their billing office. They also billed me for a visit with pinnacle ent alliance which is a place I have never been... Also tele health is included with my insurance. These people took advantage of me...

I went to Providence Endodontics and saw Dr. Martel for an old root canal that had an infection…read more Dr. Martel explained the procedure and answered any of my questions. The root canal procedure went extremely well. She saved the tooth and eliminated the infection. It was a painless procedure and even the numbing needles did not hurt. I would highly recommend Dr. Martel. Also, the office staff was very friendly and courteous.

This concerns Dr Melanie Martel at the King of Prussia office. I requested her for a root canal…read morerecommended by my dentist. I have had many dental procedures plus 2 implants, so I know what to expect. After a good interaction while going over the procedure, Dr Martel applied topical numbing and then injected Novocain. It hurt the usual amount, & I handled it by quietly crooning. She told me to "Stop that" and breathe. I then used my other pain coping mechanism - huffing, much like Lamaze breathing. She told me again to stop or I'd hyperventilate. At this point I interrupted her to say that this is how I handle pain & I've never hyperventilated. She informed me that I was making HER uncomfortable. I replied that I was the one getting the shot & I was worried more about my own comfort. This time she commented that it "doesn't have to go like this." There was no way I would let her drill my tooth with an attitude like that. Dr Martel had no compassion from the very first step, & I could not trust her if things went bad once my nerves were exposed. She was completely unsympathetic to my physical or mental comfort, plus outright rude in her handling of the situation. And they charged me $55 for her services! Insult to injury!
