On the day of court!!! Also, When you get free legal representation , you get a Public defender(attorney )who has a huge caseload. You show up in court and they have an attorney who will automatically represent ALL the people on the court calendar that morning who do not have their own legal representation.They have never met you ,you have never met them, they knew nothing about your case until that morning right before the judge comes into the court room . Someone will come up and ask you your name , if you don't have an attorney with you and that is when the fun begins!!!! The clerk will hand your paperwork to the public defender who is working that morning. They will then pull you into another room for about three minutes consultation and act as if this is something that they specialize in and Will try to get you a great deal.They have a great relationship with the prosecuting attorney becouse they have to work with them every day ! It would only make sense in order to Keep a good working relationship in the court room between the Public defender and the prosecuting attorney . They are not going to do anything that will be adversarial in order to keep that relationship going.Your great, free, attorney , (public defenders )already knows what unspoken parameters they , as public defenders ,have to work within, in order to keep a working relationship with the judge and the prosecuting attorney in the courtroom. This may be hard to believe , but you don't Personally factor into what motions they make on your case. They already know what they're comfortable with asking for and what won't rock the boat. You are not part of the equation! When I talked to my public defender ,after my first court date, I asked him if I were to pay him would I get a better outcome. He said that he gets the same amount of money NO MATTER HOW MANY people he defends and he also told me how the cases are defended as explained above. I promise you, if you go with MARKE SCHNACKENBERG , he is an attorney that doesn't play by those rules. He Is your attorney and your attorney only! He would charge substantially more amount (about 40%) for a trial even in the case witness doesn't show up and case gets dismissed. Cannot give transparent pricing involving expert witnesses. And very pushy to secure the full payment upfront ("I have to keep the lights on"...). I didn't end up hiring him and wouldn't recommend so if you are confident of your innocence.

I had…read morea sexual assault in 2013 and I had been turned away by multiple lawyers, and talked with his staff and they were very kind responsive and helpful. And referred me to Jeremiah. After meeting with him today I not only feel like the review on his avvo were misleading but that he was a completely different person than I was expecting, and not in a good way. He was extremely insensitive, assumed he knew more about my case than me made many generalizations and even went as far as to compare my case to that of others to not only diminish my pain and trauma but to make me feel like I was complaining about something that wasn't even a big deal or important. Knowing I was there talking about my sexual assault, I asked him a question about what objective evidence was since he was talking about it and he said to me," well you could leave here today and say I sexually assaulted you and you would need dna evidence to prove it because I would say no I didn't!" He took a phone call on his cell phone about a check going to the wrong address. All he did was keep telling me I took to long to seek justice and even suggested that I was trying to get revenge. I tried to explain that I was trying to prevent more rapes from happening... he rolled his eyes. And kept going back to telling me I should give up and let it go. I will not be letting it go, and I will not give up! 10- 10 would not recommend this guy for anyone! All of the stuff he put out for image was just that or stuff in real life he's not helpful trustworthy or kind. At one point he snakes his dog that was running around the office too! Right in front of me. You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat animals and he didn't treat me much better than he treated his dog. I hope this helps someone! I wish I never met him!
