As the daughter-in-law involved in this transaction, I can honestly say hiring Lee was one of the…read morebest decisions our family made. I was actually the one who found Lee after searching through countless attorneys on Google and Yelp. I spent a lot of time reviewing profiles, reading feedback, and carefully comparing options because we knew this was not going to be a straightforward sale. We wanted to make absolutely sure everything was secure and that our family's interests were fully protected -- especially since this was a private sale and we were heavily involved in helping manage the entire transaction. This was not a simple situation. My husband and I were renting the home, the landlord decided to sell, and my parents-in-law -- who live in Southern California -- stepped in to purchase it so we could remain in the property. The home includes a detached ADU on a single parcel, which added additional complexity. The seller was difficult and often unpredictable -- the type who believed he knew more than everyone else and frequently changed positions. Lee navigated that dynamic with steady professionalism and quiet confidence. He protected our interests without escalating matters unnecessarily and stayed focused on ensuring everything was handled correctly. My father-in-law is extremely meticulous and reviews every document line by line -- sometimes multiple times over (a bit too much at times). Lee was incredibly patient throughout the entire process. Even when we went over documents ten times, he remained calm, thorough, and respectful. That level of patience meant a great deal to me personally. He carefully reviewed the PSA, disclosures, and escrow documents and was in full communication with the escrow company throughout the transaction to ensure nothing slipped through the cracks. Knowing he was overseeing and coordinating every detail behind the scenes gave us tremendous peace of mind. What stood out most was how personal it felt. He wasn't just processing paperwork -- he genuinely cared about protecting our family. It truly felt like he was looking out for us the way a trusted advisor would. If you are looking for an attorney who genuinely has your best interests at heart, do not hesitate to call Lee. We will absolutely go to him again without hesitation for any future real estate needs. Thank you Lee for everything!

He helped us through the entire 6+ month process (probably signing up for more than he expected!) and we were lucky to have his years of experience and knowledge on our side. He added clauses to our contract we would have never thought about, he helped during negotiations, signing, and closing. We felt he had our back. He was also extremely responsive and available. Thanks Lee!

The estate had very little documentation and had to be built back from the ground up. Mike's legal expertise and agility in moving between shifting scenarios is exceptional, but also noteworthy is his patience, understanding and compassion for his clients. Return communication is very prompt and always reassuring. Easy going, smooth, highly ethical and a master at his craft. Excellent results. Truly like finding a rare agate on a pebble beach. Highly recommend.

In November 2021, I visited his office to get copies of some of the documentation from the 2017 case. While waiting for the copies to be presented to me I quietly paced in the lobby. Within minutes Michael Jacobs himself stormed down from his office to ask me what I needed. When I told him that I was waiting for copies of my paperwork he told me to sit down. I told him that I was fine standing and that I would be leaving shortly (as soon as I got the copies, which I was told would be ready in a few minutes). He aggressively told me again to sit down. This encounter made me extremely uncomfortable. I regret working with this firm and cannot believe how poorly they treated me, their customer (who paid their office $5K for their mediocre services). If I could choose zero stars I would.

They are not respectful of clients' time or the clients they serve. Do not enagage with this firm, heed my advice! They wasted MONTHS of time I needed to gain traction on my case, and it may be too late to find this information now as there was a time-sensitive window. June- Sept they wasted client's time, legal assistant would not call me back and was condescending in emails. And this was AFTER signing agreements and contract, and giving credit card info and personal information. Trust me, a no-go, esp if integrity and time is of essence.

We had an appointment for a second consultation with Stacey Romberg, I took off work for the virtual meeting (we live in a different state), and waited by my phone for the call. About four minutes after the appointment time, I received a text message saying they had tried to call, but the call went to voicemail, and I would need to reschedule. A few minutes later, I called my sister, who was also waiting-she had the same message. Very strange, since we were both sitting by our phones, and neither of us had any missed calls, and this message was texted, not left in voicemail. We tried to call the office: no answer. An email a few days later requested us to reschedule--in six weeks. If you are going to be dishonest to your clients about something so minor as an appointment, I don't think you can be trusted as an attorney. Then, because they "changed systems," they refused to give us the documents uploaded by either them, or by us, from the prior consultation we had, unless we retained them AGAIN. All of this took several weeks of emailed correspondence. Last, when we consulted with our new attorney, it became clear that this practice had given us incomplete advice about issues related to our father's trust. I would not recommend this practice. At all.
