The picture says it all. Being in such a rush isn't good as I got home I noticed the difference. I'm not sure where all the good reviews come from. They use rusty dirty utensils who've been already used by other customers. They aren't sanitized and who knows how long they been there. It was my first time there and I won't be back. I found Felicita Hair & Nails by chance as I was driving by and stopped in to see if they'd take a walk in for a hair trim. Thomas took me right away and trimmed exactly as I asked him to. The shop is clean, cute, and doesn't smell of overpowering chemicals! The couple that owns the shop are so sweet too. They have been in business for 30 years (at a different location, this location 6 months or so). Very reasonable pricing too! I will definitely go back to them. read more

No. No. No. I was impatient to make an appointment and wanted a walk-in and saw they were open and available. I am devastated. I wanted to donate my hair and only needed to cut ten inches, he cut over 12 inches which meant my hair is way shorter than I wanted. I really wished he had used a ruler and split my hair into two ponytails to cut as other real salons have done. I should have known then. I showed an Inspo pic and he said he could do it - far from it. Then he blamed my hair for being too thick. If he had simply said he couldn't do my preferred hairstyle from the beginning, I would've asked for a much more simple cut with no layers and waited for a professional. He did all the things I hate about a haircut - I don't like hair hitting my neck. The back of my hair is way too short and layered weirdly creating a bump with the ends sloping down to the front, framing my face - awful and outdated AF. The styling was awful as well - I had a gala to go to and ended up washing everything out and wearing a headband. I hate it so much. I'm so pissed I have to wait to grow out my hair to fix this mess. I usually have forgivable hair so I am not picky but this is bad. NO. I wish I could give zero stars. I am irate - but more than that, I am sad - really sad. read more

The last time I had a manicure, it took 2 hours. I could have watched almost the whole first movie of the Godfather (or so it felt like). It was just a gel manicure. I won't mention the place because I only give good reviews. That said, I love this place. I got a beautiful manicure and it only took a half an hour. The owner is super nice. I dropped by to get a pedicure while waiting for my son during his tae-kwon-do class. People were nice but did a horrible job with my pedicure. The guy that did it, was not gentle and caused pain while cutting my toe nails. He didn't cut the toe nails all the way through, just the beginning and then he ripped off the rest of the nail. The pedicure was $20 but I paid $5 more to do french. Big mistake!!! it looks really bad!!!. The white lines are off and don't go all the way through. I'lll remove the color and will do it myself. I'm sure I can do way better. I've been doing french pedicure for over 10 years and this has been by far the worst pedicure I've gotten. read more

But, if you want her to do something to your hair that she knows will look horrible or damage your hair, she won't do it. That's what I call integrity. came in for what i hoped would be a quick manicure. was not greeted. when asked what i needed i was told it would be a 20-30minute wait due to understaffing, said not a problem. i waited 1 hour for a manicure. it wasnt until i mentioned that i had been waiting for so long that i was finally serviced, unprofessional and rude. other clients, I'm assuming regulars came in while i was waiting and they were serviced before i was. would definitely not reccommend. shittiest manicure I've ever gotten. definitely pay for what you get. read more

I admit to being a little high maintenance about my hair. My regular hair stylist recently moved and I've been putting off finding someone new because it makes me anxious to even think about. I went into Felicita Hair & Nails yesterday to get my nails done, full set French tip. Jackie had just finished setting a perm and her brother stepped in to finish prepping that client so they could get me right in. While she was doing my nails, I mentioned my hair and asked how she feels about A-line cuts. I've had bad experiences before with people who are inexperienced with cutting this style but she said it was one of the first cuts she learned and that she does them all the time. I felt so comfortable with her the whole time I was there and decided to give her a shot at my hair. Made an appt and went back in this morning to have her cut hair. I was in and out within an hour and she did a fantastic job. I live in San Marcos but definitely will be making the drive to Escondido again in the future. I went in on a whim because I happened to be in the area and they made a regular client out of me! The level of service is worth way more than their prices would indicate:-) read more

Dropped in for a brow arch and at first they completely ignored me even though there was only one other client there. However, the 'stylist' apologized and asked me what type of service I wanted. She then asked me to go to the back to lay on surface with untidy sheets. Although she was 'nice' she did a crappy job with the brow wax.
