All of the employees and all of the residents are unbelievably super nice! After touring the full facility, my wife and I were sold. So many wonderful amenities, so beautifully decorated! My wife and I both know that if we looked hard enough, we could possibly find a place as nice as the park at surprise, but we knew we wouldn't find a place that was nicer. We figured, why continue to search, this Place is not only wonderful, but it is a wise decision for my wife's dad. We shared our hearts with dad, and he trusted our decision. Willing to listen patiently to residents that are frustrated and struggling to get their thoughts out, they help to resolve concerns quickly (especially with technology). The food is good and plentiful, the cleaning staff keep both apartments and common areas looking good. They have both rehab and medical personnel that are either on property or visit regularly to handle those issues that come up and are concerning. Best of all the entertainment and things "to do" give it a cruise ship feel on a daily basis. I thank them for their service to residents who have entered their final chapter and have less worries day-to-day!

I visited several 'facilities', but my last stop was OP, and it was perfect. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, not just to me but to my mom! We were embraced with their warmth, kindness and knowledge. My mother was a nurse, and her assessment of her care was, "They are excellent". In December of 2022, my mother-in- law fell and fractured her wrist. From the hospital, she was sent to rehab. She had trouble doing PT because her toe nails were long and painful. They needed to be clipped. The rehab would not clip her nails. The week before Christmas, on a Friday, she/I was given a 5 day notice of discharge. I immediately called Orchard Pointe-Surprise, and within 3 days, my mother in law was moved in and settled! She was cared for, loved on and treated with respect. The last six days of her life, staff members from administration, to caregivers, to transportation, and maintenance, came to pay their final respects and show me love and support. No place is perfect, but Orchard Pointe- Surprise was perfect for my family members. ~Eileen

They speak hopefully, lovingly and faithfully and it really reflects in the faces and eyes of those who live here. They are committed to loving the residents and you see it! This review is based on some shameful business practices that I experienced with my loved one in…read morerehab at Grandview. My loved one had bought into Grandview's CLC, which gives her the right to stay in Grandview rehabilitation. She planned her surgery and rehab stay for more than six months. Yet, no one at the rehab seemed to be aware of her contract with Grandview, nor did they check, even though it was clear that she was a Grandview resident. Instead, they tried to discharge her, and they aggressively sold an in-home health care service that they had a relationship with, even though this was not in my loved-one's best interests. This continued after I told them she was covered for her stay, asked them to check her contract, AND it was confirmed that she was covered under her Grandview contract. Still, they tried to discharge her and sell her on Opulent Home Services after it was clear that she should not be discharged and that it was covered by her contract. I had to advocate for her for three days in order to get them to fulfill her Grandview contract. I am 100% sure that had I not been present and persistent, my loved one would have been discharged and sold in-home health services, which were against her health needs. I worry about those who do not have someone to advocate persistently; based on my experience, Grandview is not to be trusted to do the right thing, only the thing that they are selling at the moment. On another note: Grandview rehab's staff is excellent, cheerful, and always in a good mood. But, it doesn't matter how great the staff is if the administration needs constant reminding to fulfill their contracts. I am left very clearly knowing that the Grandview administration is not looking out for what is best for my relative but rather maximizing their own revenue. These are not appropriate or reasonable business practices: CLCs do not work if they do not have the best interests of their residents in mind. Those of you with loved ones at Grandview: beware! You need to advocate constantly in order for them to fulfill even the basics of their contracts.

Severely under staffed with many individuals who definitely do not want to be there! The facility is nice and clean. This is the place you take your loved one to if you don't care if they just lay around all day starting at their feet or the ceiling! There have to be better places out there. And it is a shame because they do have some very good people working there, but they are outnumbered, trust me, by those who are only there for a paycheck.

Your family will lose everything they worked hard for and their quality of life will decline when it should do the opposite. Do not trust this place.
