This is a really fun place where you can make customized has with a variety of accessories. They have lots of hats for women, but we got some hats for our customized hats for our kids. They have cute women's clothing. The staff was great and the girl who helped us with our hats made some good suggestions. Overpriced yet cute (I'll give that to them). I was charged $15 x2 for a silk /fabric hat. The hats are overpriced... $30 more than the same hat at Allen's. I recommend going to Allen's across the street and bring your own accessories to customize your hat. read more

I stopped by to get a custom hat, I wear straw hats outside and by the pool so I needed a replacement. Even though the hats aren't expensive they get that way quick. But you can add or take away accents depending on your budget. I got what I wanted, so no complaints. They have plenty to choose from, and will help you decide if you're stuck. I recently did a girls trip to Fredericksburg with some friends, and one of my girlfriends mentioned this boutique that supposedly went viral on TikTok where you could customize and make your own hat. It sounded like a cool and unique idea so we decided to check it out. We got their on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by the staff. The staff mentioned that if we wanted to make our own hat, that was by appointment only but thankfully they had a last minute cancellation and could squeeze a couple of us in. You first start by choosing the hat, from there you move to the ribbon that goes around it, then additional customization like feathers or flowers, and then the branding. The whole process is really cool to watch and definitely a unique gift idea. read more

Ok where do I start? I'm from San Diego visiting my boyfriend's family who lives in San Antonio and has a ranch in Harper. We got an Airbnb for our the extended family in Fredericksburg. So of course I looked into custom hat stores in the area. I was so excited to finally get a custom cowboy hat! We walked in and the first impression is like "heck yes this is exactly what we're looking for" AND then we met one of the blonde gals. Asked her if they had more sizes and she said "sorry I'm really busy, you'll have to wait a while." This girl had one customer in front us. I told her from the beginning I didn't mind waiting and she said "well you'll be waiting awhile." I looked at my boyfriend in shock and he shook his head and said " babe, let's just go." but I told him no. We can wait... 10 mins later, Ella came up to him and said "hello are you waiting for a hat? If so, I'm happy to help!" The other girl didn't even have to tell her we were next. Ella was just on top it. She's such a doll, personable, happy and easy going. She turned my not so good experience into a very enjoyable one. Told her I'm simple and classy and she said she's the same. Made me a hat that is SO me & I've gotten a ton of compliments already. i absolutely love it! Point is... if you go here ask for Ella! Just made my custom felt hat and it was so much fun. Highly recommend doing this with friends and family. Such a unique way to create memories and something that will last forever. It is a little pricey, so if you want the experience but need a friendlier budget. Bring your own hat and they have different packages you can choose from when it comes to decorating. Went in to look around, Everything was SUPER CUTE BTW! the clothing does not feel cheap so you pay for what you get. My friend had to put a band aid on because her heels were rubbing against her heel. She set down a bag from a previous store we had gone into. We left the store and walked a block down went into another and she realized she left her bag back here. So we all started walking back but then one of the girls that worked from this store clothing boutique next door, was actually walking with her bag and gave back her bag. THANK YOU TO HER, we didn't have to walk a block back to get it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will return your bags to you! read more

OVERPRICED! A bit overpriced for what they offer. It's something you can easily do at home. I had a appointment, I was told to go to the lady on the end, and the lady was helping someone try on hats who didn't have a appointment that just wanted to look (cutting into my appointment time). So because of that we had to rush through because we had a reservation afterwards. The hat I picked costs $112, then you choose the package which the one I chose was another $100 and they put a few little brands, some feathers and tied some ribbon around it. Then they asked if I wanted to wear it out or in a box, I chose a box cause I had my hair up. They then charged me $20 for a box. Didn't bother to mention that part to me. It came out to $251. In my opinion I think they should offer a little more for that price. read more

Spend your money on wine instead Made my appointment days prior. Walked in and no one greeted me or even looked at me (it was early and I was the only customer in the store). That really just set the mood for the rest of my appointment - I was in and out in 25 minutes. Both of the associates I dealt with that day were not friendly whatsoever. The lady that helped customize my hat really did her own thing and I just watched. Yes, I do like my hat and don't mind paying a little money for nice things. Although, terrible customer service and overpriced ribbon/feathers (I paid $230 total - $100 for hat bar customization + $90 hat + taxes) just doesn't make for a good experience for the customer. I hope they work on their customer service skills, this place is too cute to have a bad reputation for something that can be easily fixed. Especially on Main! Ps: you don't get a box to store your hat, they just place it in a large paper gift bag so be ready for that if you're not going to wear it out of the store. read more

Me and my friends booked a trip here for New Year's Day specifically to come to make a hat. We booked appointments and all. Show up and the boutique is completely closed, with no sign up stating they are closed for New Year's Day. I understand there is holiday hours, but one, you should make that readily available on your website and secondly, don't allow appointments to be booked when you are closed. On top of it we got a ton of confirmation text for our appointment. Even if you have an automated system, your staff should be checking appointments during closures. Would not recommend after this experience. read more

Ella at the hat bar was the only reason I'm giving Felt this rating. I read other negative reviews about the staff and I will say the original girl who I had an appt with that made my hat was exactly that...not friendly, not helpful, didn't take 2 seconds to make sure my hat band was straight, never smiled, never said anything....total bummer! Luckily my friend had Ella making her hat at the same time and she was AWESOME! I had asked my girl if she could stamp my 2 initials and she said I'd have to upgrade my pkg for 1 extra stamp so I opted not to since it jumped $50. When my hat was done and I was telling my friend who had Ella working on her hat Ella overheard and said "I can do it hand it over!" THE SWEETEST! She also noticed my girl didn't glue my feather onto my cap so she did that for me as well and added extra leather string. It's all about the experience especially in a tourist town and if it weren't for Ella I'd give this place 1 star only because the hat bar concept is unique. read more

Sure wish they would have been happy to see us. 5 of us were in a mission for hats and we ran across this shop. After walking in and no one greeting us we looked around the empty shop and said we wanted to get some hats. We were informed that we were unable to see any since we didn't have an appointment. Very disappointed, I can understand if the shop was busy telling us we couldn't see any but to just basically be told we couldn't even look was a big disappointment. read more
