If you don't want to read the whole thing: I've shopped here for years. The older lady who works here, with reddish hair, was rude and dismissive. Shes been rude before. This was the last time I'll be at Perky Peacock. When I shop here I typically spend a decent amount as I have a larger chest and they have many bras to choose from, as well as quite a selection of clothes. I've lost some weight in the past six months, but haven't updated my bra drawer so I decided to visit perky Peacock. I need an accurate measurement to buy some new bras as well as some clothes for a trip I have coming up. When I went in a young woman asked if I needed any help and I said I needed a bra fitting. She didn't have experience in fittings so she led me to the counter, where there was an older woman who would be able to help me. She groaned, looked extremely annoyed, and asked if I would be in the area for the next hour as another employee had just gone to lunch and she was helping another customer (I was the only other person in the shop outside of the two employees.) It looked like she was doing inventory from what I saw, but maybe she was working on a large order for someone who was coming back? Either way, l told her I wasn't sure but would shop for a while. When she realized I would be sticking around to shop she asked if I knew what band size I was. In which I replied, "No, that's part of the reason why I need to get fitted." She made another annoyed sound, rolled her eyes, and mumbled something to the other employee as I walked to a rack to peruse their sundresses. I didn't let on that I had heard her mutter to the other employee. She has been rude before to myself and other customers and I didn't have any desire to buy anything at that point. I just calmly walked out of the store shortly after. I'm writing this because I was treated as a burden and an annoyance. To treat someone so rudely who could be spending hundreds of dollars, or even someone just window shopping, at your establishment isn't ok in the least. I try to shop local. I love this town and I love the many shops around here. Unfortunately, there aren't very many locally owned places that cater to undergarments for women. So, I'll be heading out to get fitted at Soma and buying my bras and other various items somewhere else from here on out.

What I experienced today was just more decline in an already mess of a store. Packed clothing racks, with little in the right place, and clothes on the floor, purses piled on top of purses, and in the wrong areas. The dressing room is still dark and dingy. Once again, the women's plus area is impossible to shop in due to a total lack of organization. The Kerrville Belk has become one of the worst stores I have ever been in. Nothing changes for the better in this store. If anything, it continues to deteriorate. Even the once organized men's department is now in shambles. Belk used to be the go to department store in Kerrville, but no longer. Now it's just a dump. I have reached out to corporate more than once, and get the same reply.

She was also super respectful of my comfort level and was able to pick suits that would show what I wanted shown. I really liked almost all the bikinis and it was nice to have something that not everyone else has. Her styles were different and current and they were all much better quality than the cheapos I usually buy. This is a great way to treat yourself. From bags to goggles to swimsuits, this cute little store totally hidden off of Thousand Oaks is a swimmers dream. No more are the days when I go to Academy in the winter and ask why they don't have suits. Swimming is a year long sport and this store caters to that. The only problem that I have with the store is that Speedo is the only brand they carry. I wish that they could switch it up a bit and give a little more variety. But then again, everything I use to swim is Speedo - so they must be on to something.
