Quality was not what I had hoped for. I had gone before and the women did a great job. Went again, had an apprentice which is not bad in itself, but I had asked for warm highlights partial head. Fantastic, I had my hair cut here back in august and I'm about due for a trim. I couldn't remember my old Yelp password, so I originally reviewed from a iCloud account, which I don't see here so that's good. I can start fresh and say that Jacqui I'm not sure on the spelling but (fingers crossed) had listened to me and understood intuitively what I wanted. She kept all my length and could work with my stick straight hair. It's not always easy people. Straight hair cut improperly showcases every flaw and choppy hack. So! Go see her, she's wonderful. My hair is super long, but needed to slowly have split end repair. We could have cut it a lot more, but again she worked with me to find a happy medium and my cut is gorgeous and lived in. Fantastic new hair salon next to Tracy's Nails in Capitola! After my 3rd time in getting my hair colored/cut/styled by Jacquie I had to write a review. First impression was WOW, the salon was beautifully styled with no details left behind, down to the gorgeous brass hardware. Retail displays beautifully adorned with the lucky select few brands of the hippest hair care products . Hair styling tools were all newest and hottest on the market. It was very apparent that Jacquie(proud owner), had put her entire heart and soul into this bustling new business. Beyond the aesthetics of the salon, the hair knowledge of all the stylists is above par. They take time listening to and explaining processes and the products used and how to replicate the magic they do at home. Very good experience here! From the minute I walked in I was greeted and offered a beverage. It only got better. The decore was awesome, music on point, friendly staff, warm atmosphere and not to even mention my cut. I went in with a few ideas from Pinterest and Sophia (wonderful and talented hair stylist) just ran with it and gave me the cutest pink 70s shag cut. I went to this awful salon . I was actually half and hour early and she ( Jaqui) booked two clients knowing that I had booked a balayage and a cut she was already working on a client just started doing their cut . I was extremely upset and thought to myself how can she a book a client knowing that what we were doing was going to take a long time. The red flag was that went I went to the consultation she would not let me see her color book which is odd because all the other salons are more than willing to show their book of color swatches, that should have been a red flad #2 she booked 2 clients not one but two mind you during my time I had commited to take time out of my schedule and pay her an exorbonent amount of money. She checked on my foils once that is rude. I did not get the Balyage I wanted I got funky 1990s regualr ol school highlites the only thing I was bareley satisfied with was the cut my friends like the cut but they said her work is shit otherwise. Then after being held hostage for almost 5 hrs I was done voila and thats not it !! she tried to sell product to me after being so rude and inconsiderate she try slanging her products that were $30 a pop no no the whole experince was a disaaster PS shes on her phone the whole time, eats , and goes in the back and spaces out dont waste your time or money$$$ read more
