Don't like to give bad reviews and cut/style was ok but just wasted $175 for coloring my 12 y/o daughters hair here. My daughter had photos showing exactly what she wanted. Amy told her the color wouldn't suit her skin and ought do a "mocha" instead. 3 Hours later my daughter returns with blonde highlights and worse because her hair was bleached she can't even go swimming. I found Amy on Yelp thanks to her amazing reviews, and she completely lived up to the hype! The salon was so clean and had relaxing music. Amy was fully booked when I first reached out but was able to squeeze me in the next day. I was late to my appointment due to an accident but as soon as I reached out, she was kind, patient, and found a way to make it work which is not easy for stylists who get fully booked. Amy instantly knew what I needed, gave me a beautiful cut, and completely refreshed my postpartum hair. I've gotten so many compliments since! Really poor service and time management claiming to be behind schedule when you arrive despite the online booking options. This time I booked online, drove there, sat for 20 minutes for her to then tell me that she didn't realize I had booked so someone was scheduled over me and didn't want to rush to squeeze this appointment in. The last time I booked she didn't say she wasn't able to do the style when I showed her the picture and it was only at the end when she "realized" it wasn't achievable and told me she "did her best" and gave me the list of reasons why. I called today because I needed a haircut for Thanksgiving. Amy said to come in at 5:00 because she had an opening so I cancelled my appt for tomorrow since she could get me in. Then at 12:00 she sent a text saying the 5:00 had accidentally been booked and could I come tomorrow at 1:30. I said, I could. She just called and said that she can't make that appt and can I come next week! I hung up on her. Extremely unprofessional and now I have no hair appt period since it's Tuesday night. She is the one that made me the appointment. If she could not do the appointment, then just tell me the first time that I called! Don't give me an appt for that day, cancel it several hours later and offer me another, which I accept and then call many hours later again and cancel that one! Now it being close to 5:00 in the afternoon. Just say, "No I have no appointments until next week." I would have said, okay and then went on to try another salon. She is very inconsiderate and unprofessional. In her reply below she says that I asked for color? That is a lie. She scheduled and cancelled a shampoo and basic trim. I paid $200 for strawberry blond partial highlights and a bang trim. I am not happy with the results. The highlights would probably have been OK, but instead of strawberry blond, Amy insisted that my roots were too dark, and that she'd have to use a medium brown instead, which she put all over my head. The result: No highlights-- just medium brown hair! Not at all what I asked for! The whole time, she kept telling me how beautiful it was going to be, and how much she loves her job. Just move back to California and was looking for a new hair stylist. Checked yelp and Google and saw this place. Amy's only had 8 reviews but I was intrigued. Very small place holds only three chairs but Amy was very personable, kind and also very thorough about asking about what I wanted done to my hair. Showed her a picture and she gave me some suggestions since I have a round face and I said go with it. During the haircut she would stop and asked me if I wanted it shorter or if I was OK with what she was doing. I was really impressed because she knew curly hair. Curly hair is very hard to cut and she was very knowledgeable. When she was done I was in absolute awe because it was almost identical to the picture and it complemented my face very well. I'm not usually one to leave a bad review but this was absolutely the worst haircut I have ever had. My appointment was at 3pm and I arrived a couple minutes early. There was no one up front when I got there so I took a seat and she came out a few minutes after 3(totally fine, I wasn't in a rush). She asked me what I wanted and I told her just a simple buzz cut and we discussed the length and everything. She then proceeded to cut my hair in what felt like a very rushed and frantic 8 minutes. I was done, paid and in my car by 3:13... I appreciate the efficiency but when I got home and was able to look closer there were a bunch of hairs that got missed. It just felt extremely sloppy and way too rushed for no reason. Even just another 5 minutes to go back over everything to make sure nothing got missed would have made all the difference and would have still been super quick! Not to mention in my opinion it was overpriced for just a simple buzz cut especially when I had to have my husband go back over it at home. Needless to say I will not be returning :( read more

Amy was able to cut my hair so that my bangs were even despite the fact that I have a cowlick, she's the first person who's cut my bangs in a way where the cowlick didn't take over and make me look like I only had bangs on one side. She's efficient and gave me a low maintenance haircut. (I don't like to spend time on my hair, I don't even own a blow drier, I just let my hair air dry. Amy worked with that instead of giving me a lecture on how I need to buy a blow drier as some hairdressers I've tried in the past did.) We also cut a lot off as I was growing out an older haircut. She cut off the bleached part and then checked in to make sure I wanted to keep going until the back matched a shorter portion in the front, just in case I decided that I wanted to keep the length. I went in with my boyfriend and he liked his haircut as well. I will be going back. She's efficient, does a good job and the price is great. (I noticed that her other clients weren't tipping her, honestly, with her prices a tip is not gonna hurt your pocketbook and she definitely deserves it.) read more

Just had a hair cut from Amy. Very pleased with the results. My hair was a bit overgrown and looks thinner when it gets too long. She asked me to bring photos to show what I wanted. After showing her and telling her about the length I wanted, side bangs etc., she gave me her suggestions for the best results. I always defer to the stylist - she was right about going just a tad longer. We also tried a new part location to hide a weird cowlick. She's also decently priced which is a bonus to this great experience. I had been going to a different hairstylist who charges an arm and leg and stuck with her for fear of a bad haircut elsewhere. I'm so glad I tried out Amy today. I felt comfortable with her expertise and ability. She was detail-oriented and she took time to think and plan how she would cut my hair.
