Blair is so awesome! About two weeks ago I went to her to get my nipples pierced. She was competitively priced at $30 for both, where other places wanted $60/nipple! Her studio is an open layout, but she closed off a big section for privacy. I waited for a few minutes, and it's just a really relaxed environment. She talked me through the whole process, made sure I was comfortable and made me aware of everything she was doing. The space was clean and all her utensils were sanitary. She used clamps, and it was over in a flash. It was nowhere near as painful as I was expecting, and Blair made it a totally positive experience. I am really happy with the way they have turned out, and I have not had any infection. I would definitely recommend going to Blair! read more

Her business is still new and so her prices are low, but not because of quality. She does amazing work and will listen to you. This is well overdue, but I took my wife to have a small tattoo drawn on her foot, in honor of Mocha, our 14 year old chocolate lab who recently passed. Blair did a very reasonably priced cover up on me today. She's personable and takes her time getting things right. I loved that her dogs were there. They were sweet and made the environment even more friendly. They are only allowed in the sitting area for those of you that might be thinking "OMG DOGS THAT'S NOT SANITARY!11!!" An excellent tattoo and piercing place in Raleigh ..had a great first tattoo experience with Blair she was so comforting since it was my first tattoo and it was on my ribs which i heard from alot of people its more painful than other areas but the pain wasn't that bad at all my laser hair removal was much much worse. Blair knew exactly what I wanted, the experience went very smooth and the final tattoo was better than my expectations.. Nate did a fantastic job on my tattoo!!!! Very professional and clean. Took about 3 hours for my tattoo and it didn't hurt too bad, but I did watch some Shrek to help distract the pain, which Nate was totally chill with. Would go there again and again for more tattoos! read more

I went here after seeing the excellent reviews this place had from various online sources. Blair did such a great job on my tattoo, I made this Yelp account JUST to give her a 5 star rating. I have a pair of wings on my back that I've had worked on by 4 different artists now, though 2 of them I could hardly called "artists". It's a feminine tattoo, so the 2 guys I've been to that worked on it seemed to have almost no interest in my tattoo at all and kind of just went through the motions for the purposes of getting my money, didn't listen to what I wanted, and never even thought about being creative with it. When I went to Blair, she had all these great ideas for color and how to fix it, and she genuinely seemed interested in helping me make it my own. She was much more creative than several other artists I've seen and she seemed a lot more experienced. I'm so glad I went to her, and she will be getting ALL my business from now on, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also it was not very expensive. As a grad student, I don't make a lot of money, but I was still able to get some work done on it without having to live on Ramen for a month afterwards. You can tell she really enjoys her job. The atmosphere of the shop was very relaxed, didn't make you feel weird or like you're being pushed into getting something done in a way that you don't want. Sad I didn't get to see her cool dogs I've heard so much about, but maybe next time! Cause I'm an animal lover. I got all color done, and previously color has really hurt my back (because I don't have much meat back there), but I was so surprised by how little it hurt! Other artists must have really been drilling me (which she confirmed they had been), but she was sooo gentle that being in a chair a few hours was no problem! Which I am extremely grateful for! Summary: Blair is awesome. Her work is amazing. She doesn't hurt you because she knows what she's doing. I'll never go anywhere else as long as I live in NC. read more

I went to go take part of their 2 for $30 piercings. I should of known to never get anything done for that price. The piercings that Blair did were crooked (i got my nipples done by the way). After a week I noticed they were still crooked and i was in a lot of pain. She used clamps on them.... BIG MISTAKE! I personally messaged her asking her about the piercings being crooked. She told me that they are suppose to be to prevent snagging. UMMMMM REALLY?! When i went to actually get real professional opinions they said they were done completely wrong and the jewelry she used was bad. They took them out and said to come back in a month which i did (not to Femme Fatale). The next day they were fine and not sore. Obviously something wasn't done right the first time. I have gotten a Buddha tattoo here and love it. Blair did a great job and I hear a lot of good things about her other work. She is very personable and respectful to your wishes. On the other hand, her brother who is a store manager or something of two employees is rude. He didn't make any attempt to say hello or really talk to you at all. I have gone in recently only to be rudely thrown out at 2:15pm because they were closed until 2:30pm even though the unlocked door said 2pm. Anyway I would suggest Blair to someone but you may feel a little uncomfortable from other people. read more

I live in Canada right now, but have yet to meet an artist who I trust like her, so I literally just wait until my breaks when I go home to NC to get any new tattoos or piercings that I want. I cannot recommend Femme Fatale highly enough. I worked with Nate to have a fairly large thigh piece done. He was patient, kind, and listened to my concerns. I met with him in person for the initial consultation, and scheduled 2 sessions for the tattoo. I could not be happier with the completed black and white realistic piece. His line work is incredible, and the shading makes it come to life. He is a wonderful artist to work with. I am already looking forward to my next session with Nate. read more

I went in to get a small-ish tattoo on my hip. I showed Blaire the design and called in later in the week to make an appointment. They changed the appointment time on me once, but I got in just a little after I wanted. When I went in to finalize the design so that she could make the stencil, she INSISTED on the design of the horse shoes being done a certain way...whose body is being tattooed?? I was not happy with her attitude. Anyway, since she insisted, I let her do her design. She was able to get the tattoo done in about 50 minutes (about the size of an adult palm) with a little bit of "shading". The shading was poor quality, along with the non-uniformity of all the horse shoes (there are 4 shoes, all DIFFERENT sizes....not what I wanted). She told me that I should come back in for a free touch-up later on (didn't tell me when), but I wasn't really sure what she wanted to touch up. The price was about the only thing I liked about my experience - $60. I tipped her $20. Needless to say, I will not go back. I guess you get what you pay for. read more
