Updated review: I want to clarify the timeline based on my emails with Jesica. I did ask to see a sketch before canceling. On the Monday my finished sketch was promised, Jesica emailed asking for direction, which made it clear that no design had been started or completed. I replied asking to see any progress at all, even a rough draft, so I could provide guidance. After that, she stopped responding completely. I only canceled after she ghosted me and had not delivered any work despite a full in-person consultation and detailed instructions. This was not a matter of impatience or disliking a design. The concern was that no work was ever produced or shared, and my requests for proof of progress were ignored. I am posting this so other potential clients have an accurate record of what happened. Paying a deposit for work that is never delivered and being left without communication is unprofessional. Original review: I met with Jesica Sanchez in person to talk about a custom tattoo and gave her all the details for what I wanted. I told her the idea was a little open so she could have creative freedom and show me her vision. I paid a $100 deposit and she told me I would get the finished sketch the Monday before my appointment. That Monday she emailed saying she was still "trying to come up with a concept" and needed more direction. That was the second email from her saying basically the same thing, which made it clear she hadn't even started by the time the finished sketch was supposed to be done. At that point I told her it was fine, I understood that what I was asking for would rely on the artist more than Google image so I'd just find another artist since she hadn't started. Then she told me she couldn't refund my deposit because she had "already spent so much time" on it. When I asked her to show me ANY kind of sketch so I could give feedback, even if she wasn't happy with it, she completely stopped responding and ghosted me. She never showed any work, never communicated again, and kept my deposit. I was really excited to work with her but this was completely unprofessional and dishonest. HOLY CRAP!!! So I went up to Raleigh to get my first tattoo and samantha was working that night. She was such a vibe and I love her style and was like lets do it! Super clean, the vibes are so welcoming and safe, and everyone is friendly. Loved my experience! I saw Aubrey for a back and neck tattoo today and she took great care of me. She was so sweet and overall i felt safe and comfortable with her. She free handed this beautiful piece to shape my frame and I couldn't be happier with it. Wandered in and could not have had a better experience. The atmosphere was chill and it was nice to see artists able to express their individuality. Went for a piercing, the gentleman piercer just moved into the studio and gave me his upmost attention. He was kind, respectful and had lots of jewelry to choose from. I was belittled and talked down to by Jose García, one of their "artists" over a miscommunication on their part. He was extremely condescending and rude and completely entitled. Regardless of how good you think you are, this is a custom based business and you still have to provide "customer Service". When I told him that let's just cancel the tattoo (with a week notice) after he was rude and condescending, he refused to refund me the deposit $200. I went somewhere else and lost the money because I did not trust his "professionalism " at that point. Stay away there are better places out there. read more

Great artists awful professionalism the appointment was scheduled with chronic at 1 PM didn't show up till 145 then took a smoke break then comes back says I need to draw this up give me 20 minutes 45 minutes later comes back and says all right let's get started we sit down he says I need a smoke break goes and takes a smoke break while her stencil dries comes back and says give me another minuteI have to set up my ink 2 1/2 hours later the tattoo is finally started a $50 deposit that was supposed to go towards the $300 tattoo But it didn't we were overcharged by $50 then chronic has the nerve to go on social media and post about not tipping your artists my PSA don't waste your money or your time sitting in their lobby the artists aren't worth it read more

The tattoo artist Nicki Garrett does a good job with stencils. However, when we asked her to do a freehand tattoo with straight lines she did not do so well. The lines were crooked and disproportionate. Freehand fine line work may be beyond her abilities. read more

I booked an appointment with Chronic a month and a half ago. Paid a 50 dollar deposit that was to go towards my overall tattoo. My appointment was today at 1. I was there at 12:55 checked in at the front desk and was told he would be there shortly. At 1:25 he rolls in claiming there was traffic. Also that he would need to take a smoke break before he began anything. At 1:40, he came to me to ask about my design, despite me having sent it during our original correspondence. He spent another 40 minutes drawing up the design. At 2:30 he began setting up his station, but required another break before he began. At 3:25, we finally started. We took a break at 1.5 hours in. That lasted another 30+ minutes. We finished at 7, which brought our time to around 3 hours 10 minutes. He said that would mean 300. At the front desk I was asked again about how much I put towards my deposit, which was 50. So I paid 300 today which would give him a 50 dollar tip. Despite the unprofessional behavior the entire day, my tattoo was beautiful. Chronic proceded to post on his social media, that he knew I followed, as we spoke in length about it. He said be sure to tip your artist implying that I hadn't. Which even if I didn't, he would not have deserved one to begin with. I spent 6 hours in this shop for a 3 hour tattoo. Where is my tip for my wasted time? Don't go here. The artistry level isn't worth the trouble. read more
