Apparently, I found out that I was lucky to have not seriously injured my hands. So, my door was holding my car hostage. I called my son as he has about 10 garage doors on his property and he said that he highly recommended B&B Garage Door and to ask for Casey. It was after hours so I left a message and the following day he called me early that morning and had an opening later that afternoon...he arrived on time and got right to it. Let me tell you... the tech was a master and he went to work on my mess. Bottomline, he had my door back to good working order AND he finished installing the rest of the rollers for me! Then the day he was supposed to come, our electricity went out. So we called Casey to give him a heads up. Then came back on, so another call. Lonny showed up right on time, nice and professional. We had found out where the problem lied when the electricity went out. One of the panels was cracking. Lonny put a heavy duty brace across and now works. He did suggest a new door, motor, backup battery. So I asked him for a quote. The costs to come out from Los Osos and fix our problem was $200, which I thought was reasonable. I guess a new door is in our future.

We had a bat visit us a few nights in a row (there was an opened window the first night) ..after…read moreclosing the window, the bat made a re-appearance the next night out of nowhere...we thought maybe there was another place they were getting in. Woods came out and inspected around for possible entry points and didn't find any obvious signs of infestation. They suggested the bat had flown into the room and roosted somewhere inside the house (!) during the day. So that night we left our bedroom windows opened, door closed and slept in another br. Sure enough, no more bat since then. It must've found its way out. Although they didn't actually remove a bat, they made the effort to come out and investigate. Much appreciated! (keeping un-screened windows closed overnight from now on!)

When finished the tech l, Landon didn't offer to show me the work and I had to say well let me see how it looks. I feel like he knew I was not going to be happy with it. Unfortunately the replacement miter cut window frame was not measured long enough so there was a 1/4" gap at corner. And the plastic frame pieces were not pushed in smoothly. In the center there were 2 shoved in areas and wrinkles. But it was just the huge gaping corners that shocked me. Clearly not cut long enough I'm used to working with contractors on home projects and I just tried to politely ask why he would do an install like this. And we recently had all new vinyl windows installed which is pretty much the same method where they cut the vinyl to miter and fit the corners of windows to seal it up, which is a similar process. Anyway I do feel that I understand how it was done . Just not why it was done so sloppy for lack of a better word. In future I would use this company again if a different tech was sent out. If I hadn't said anything I would have been upset with myself for not speaking up and asking why it looked so bad. Thankfully it's on the inside but I still expect it to look good inside or out. But thankfully the outside of window is good. I don't think the outside frame was popped out like the inside had to be. Anyway it was unfortunate. In response to manager comment: To correct your statement. !!!! Landon did not use the existing old that were perfectly mitered window frame clips that hold glass in. He showed me a long piece of stock and said he cut new ones because he destroyed the existing when he pried them off the window. That's where the problem comes from. He cited new pieces too short leaving huge 1/4" gaps at corners looking really sloppy and unprofessional !! He left the top piece old but added new badly cut short pieces on bottom and sides. They were cut too quickly without properly measuring and miter corners did not come close.
