I'm so regret choosing this business to install my fence! First he started with one side of my back yard that is shared with my neighbor, the fence is not strong enough and we can actually feel it moving when we hold it. But then my right-side neighbor insisted to have him install the fence in his side (which we have to share too), then turned out he avoided the cement; put the bigger poles entirely on my soil land (the old fence build with smaller poles). So this side walkway (on the right) is now a lot smaller than it supposed to be. My dad was so upset but it's already done, so we didn't wanna make it a big deal. Then my other side yard (on the left) wanna do it too. They also did some research and unfortunately picked him again. This made sense since he already did their other side fence. And this time was the worst!!! He put the poles 2 inch away from my neighbor's cement side walkway, plus the bigger pole. So basically our side walkway is about 5 inches push over. My neighbor asked him immediately when his employee installed he first few poles, but they insisted to continue; then I talked to them about the poles are placed over my side too much. But they all ignored and finished it. Both my family and my neighbor agreed that he need to fix it; but all he did is confirming that he did this for over 30 years, and never do anything wrong, even though he didn't come over my place to check it. So now we can't move our trash can out, and he also mentioned to charge us again if we want him to replace the bigger gate if we want wider entrance. Worst business I have ever dealt with. We had a very big project in Fallbrook that involved white vinyl ranch rail, welded wire, stone gate pillars and custom metal gates that included automated openers. We chose Fence Masters after going through a competitive bidding process with other fence installers. While Fence Masters was the most competitively priced of the others it was Gus' knowledge and patience that sold us on the decision to engage them. We are extremely happy with the finished product and have received an overwhelming positive response from our neighbors. The quality of work was excellent. Gus made many changes throughout the process at our request as sometimes is necessary once you see what you're getting in to. He was always accommodating, had good suggestions and didn't kill us with change order charges when we wanted to do things differently. Gus and his team did a great job on my fences. Both my side fences collapsed during a rain/wind storm. He was able to give me a quick on the spot quote for complete new fences and stood by it. Once I finished dealing with neighbors and insurance company; Gus was able to get started. It took a quick 2 days for each side. He was patient with my questions and specifications for an entrance gate as well as how to reinforce fence for my raised garden. I was happy with his work from start to finish. Gus - is a great guy who works hard and hates to disappoint. Every job I've seen him do in our neighborhood is a masterpiece that took serious work and effort. That being said (to you 1 star folks) he didn't get back to you right away because he was working his tail off installing a strong durable fence in our yards. He did our 245 linear foot fence back a couple of years ago and I am still very happy with how it stood up over the years. Doors still work, nails stayed in and posts are holding up. Look at it another way - if the contractor showed up and was eager beaver to get your job...maybe there was a reason. I hope your happy with the fence work you got. Gus and his sons are the real deal - and they were well worth the wait. Like the other reviews, you cannot depend on this guy. Very unprofessional! Gus made an appointment with me and never showed. I called and left a message and he never called me back. I called a couple of days later and he answered. I reminded him about the appointment and asked him what happened. He didn't seem to have any respect for my time. I recommend you find someone you can rely on to repair or build your fence. read more
