From the salesman Glenn, to the installers Brett, Cody, Adam, Kyle and Dillon, they all did an amazing job and represent Fence Outlet well. They made our experience from start to finish pleasant. Pricing was good and work was completed ahead of schedule and with great quality. They completed both my neighbors and our yard in a day. The house and yard look incredible, what a difference a white vinyl fence vs old wood fence can make. If you're in the market for a new fence, don't look any further. Our fence needed replacing and after getting quotes and seeing what was available we decided on Fence Outlet because of the quality, choices and price. They scheduled the install and showed up on time. The installers were very professional and completed the installation of 125 feet of fencing including 2 gates in the same day. Post installation there is always some adjustments that need to be made and I called to schedule that to happen a month after installation We got the same prompt service. Mike came out and adjusted here and tightened there and made everything perfect. We couldn't be more pleased with our new fence and with Fence Outlet. The two guys show up on the day and time to start the job that Monday morning. The guys work from the time they show up early that morning where they remove a chain link fence and a wood fence and replaced them with the PVC fencing from Fence Outlet. The PVC fencing job was completed the same day about 8:30 PM that night. They were very nice and willing to do what was asked of them. They were very respectful to my neighor who was giving us trouble about installing the fence. The neighor didn't like the fence and want us to put a differnent type of fence in. I would recommend these two guys for empolyee of the day base on what they did at my property. read more

Those of you reading this review please buyer beware about this horrendous company!! I am back here to write about how this company is the absolute worse when it comes to customer care. As you can see in the pictures loaded up here that they broke of my sprinkler connection that mind you was run above ground. Yes, they do not care whether it's above or below they will tear it up and leave it to you fix. Here is a kicker they stated that I had a company come out and give me a proposal to fix it. Never happened. Then they stated we gave you $30. of the $60. that was on the proposal. No such proposal ever existed. This past weekend I went to fix it myself and found that the sprinkler is now in my neighbors property. Not to mention you can clearly see the concrete with the old post also in my neighbors yard. I called them Monday to setup an appointment for them to come out and meet me to discuss this. I received no phone call as I requested. When I get home today I find a door ticket from fence outlet on my front door. The tag states that they are within the four inches of the line and refuse to fix their mistake. I immediately go and check gate as the gate is locked and no one can get into my yard. I find boot foot prints in my yard and it appears one of the techs jumped over the fence to get access to my back yard. I GAVE no one permission to be in my back without me being present. Mind you according to them they make no mistakes only the customer does. This whole debacle has been ongoing since the day they showed up to do the initial. This is just the latest and added grief that fence outlet has brought on with zero understanding or acceptance of their errors. I repeat this has been one of the worst companies and experiences from a company I have ever had to deal with. Again buyer beware and stay far away from this company. read more

Horrible. Fence to be installed 07/24. Guys came out on the 26. Dropped the stuff off and said be back tomorrow because were too tired. The next day they tore the fence down and gave a bs excuse for an emergency. Left and I'm stuck looking at all theyre garbage everwhere. Next day they put the fence up. Not leveled, huge gaps, gate crooked, 1 piece distorted and no post caps. Called to have it corrected told I'll call you right back. Never received a call. Month later receive a call to pay the balance. Told then not paying until the fence is done. Again same line Ill put a ticket in. Was given a date and guess what? Surprise no one showed up. It's September and I started the process in MAY!!! read more

I agree with Megan R. Fence Outlet is a nightmare company! The sales person gave me a quote and basically did not tell me how long the quote would be honored although it was not on an official quote/invoice form, I still thought they would honor the quote. I was told they could not honor due to prices going up etc... If I had only had the opportunity to act beforehand, I would have taken other actions to seal the original deal/cost. The price difference now is extreme and the response was Bull Sh.... I asked to speak to their manager (Roguel Patel) or owner of the company to see if they could work something out and basically they shut the door in my face. I thought the price was a deal because this was a group effort with other neighbors. OMG... I was disappointed after they sucked money out of 4-5 homes on my block and you tell me they could not work with me with this situation. It tells me they are starving for money or simply don't care what the situation you had with them, they are not going to work with you at all. I left a voice message and have yet to receive a call back. I figure to save someone else with issues or problem, this would be the best place to start. I figure, I will go to Witt Fence company and give them my money for just better service even if they are at a higher cost. People, it's not worth it trust me. read more

I had an installation on 7/17. I called at 11:15 and asked where they were. I got a callback about an hour later from America and said they would be here this afternoon, and if they couldn't finish they would come on Saturday. At 2:00pm, I got a call from Kelly that they were on the way to my house. At 3:30 I called for manager, Chris, and said they still were not there. I asked for a callback. Never got a callback. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. EVER! I paid my 50% deposit right away, but now I get no product delivery. I cant wait to leave my review on the website, YELP, and BBB website. Horrible service!!! read more

I just had a fence installed and had many issues, so I would not recommend choosing fence outlet for your fence installation. The issues include: They use high pressure sales techniques that make the lowest price only good for while they are there. The sales manager promised one bag of cement per post and two in the gate posts. They did not even put in a full bag into each post and no extra in the gate posts. Scheduling the installation was also an issue. They were scheduled to come out Wednesday morning (so I cleared my work schedule to be available), but called at 8:00am to say they would not be there until just after noon. I called at 1:30 only to find that they would be here closer to 3PM, but it would be complete that day. The person arrived at 3:45 and promptly told me that they would be dropping off the materials and coming back the following day (which was supposed to be the first day of my vacation). The person unloads the materials and puts in 3 posts, which each had less than a bag of cement. They actually only dropped off 15 bags of cement for 24 posts. The next day I approached the gentleman about the lack of concrete in the post holes and he would not even discuss it and blew up at me yelling about the cement. This was a horrible experience and should not happen to anyone paying almost $4500 for a small fence. I tried resolving this issue with Kyle the sales person and Rich the office manager, but neither of them were concerned with addressing the issue. I was not aware of this prior, but they did explain that they outsource all of the installations and that I could deal with the workers boss. This was ridiculous as I did not contract with the other company. I spoke with someone at the other company and he said that he would be here on Monday to address any issues, but never showed up. Since I could not speak to the person installing the fence civilly I decided to remove myself from that moment and just let him finish. After the work was completed, I tested each post by tapping the base of it with a stick and most of them had air pockets (which really concerns me for the longevity of the fence) in the dirt and minimal cement to be found. One of the gates also has damage as well as one of the pickets. I reached out to the teams (fence outlet manager and the subcontractor) today, but not to my surprise, no one responded. This has been by far the worst experience that I have had working with a company on a home improvement project. Buyer beware. read more

Buyer beware. They will lie to you from the start. We chose to go with fence outlet because we were told they are the manufacturer for all the surrounding fence companies but what sets them apart is for there customers they install your post 4ft in the ground (this is a lie they install 2.5 to 3ft) we were told they use concrete on every post (another lie) they only installed it on the corner post. We only found this out because we had to pull a portion of the fence for a pool install. After waiting weeks for our install the day the installer showed up in the middle of install I noticed they were not starting the Pickett fence were we agree and HOA approval was for I was told by the installer we need to call our sales rep so I called the office and was told he would call me back. The installers went back to the shop to get the correct fence only to be told no because they were auditing and it didn't matter about the customer. Installer told us they would be back Monday to finish no one showed up until we called Wednesday to find out what was going on. Our sales rep told us with all of the issues we got you covered the rest of the way don't worry about anything. We took it as we aren't charging you the balance and then 4 months later we were sent a bill for the remaining balance we called and were told we don't show anything except there is a open ticket for a gate adjustment (no gate adjustment was requested) we have gotten past due notices and we have called numerous times to resolve what we were told we also got a notice from them stating the filed a Lien on my property and are sending us to collections. Today I was told there is no record of us tell you that and you need to pay in full. They refuse to fix the install issues or compensate until it's paid yet they want payment for something not completed. At this point I don't want them on my property they left a mess the first time and we had to clean it up. read more

Originally spoke to sales representative and asked for fence to be measured to pass a window on side of house. Sales representative "measured" my yard and depicted on work sheet that the fence would be further than the window. After trying numerous times to get ahold of them for a couple of months to schedule an install, they told me that the sales representative no longer works for them and I would need the measurements to be double checked. A second sales representative came out and confirmed the measurements were correct and I signed the contract for the install. After they completed the fence install, I called to tell them the fence was not past the window like it was originally measured for. They told me someone would contact me soon to address it. No one reached out to me so I called the next week to ask again and was told again someone would call me soon. They eventually called the next day to tell me someone would come and check the measurements in a week. The sales rep who came to check the measurements told me it was measured correctly per the contract but they actually charged me an extra foot. I showed him the original work sheet with the measurements and he said he would speak to a supervisor about it and a supervisor would give me a call. No one reached out to me for a couple of days so I called and asked for an update, they said a supervisor would look into it now and call me. The supervisor called to tell me the measurements were right per the contract and it would be an extra $805 if I wanted the fence moved up to where it was originally supposed to be. I asked why it was drawn showing the fence where I wanted it with the measurements not being where I wanted and he said I paid for it to be moved up 6 feet but it wasn't where I wanted it. So I paid for an extra 7 feet of fence total for it to not be where I wanted and could've saved myself the cost of that all together. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Finally get an install date after 4 weeks of signing contact. They installed fence and left the sloppiest mess when they were done. Nails and screws all over my front and back yard which has left me with a flat tire and the worry my dogs will step on one. Piles of sand everywhere. They even charged more to drill into concrete which they left broken into pieces and unrepairable. What a mess. After installing fence they realized they had the wrong caps. And of course they had to order them. Finally a month later I called to check on them. They tell me we have your install as completed. As in they thought it was done. They come a few days later only to show up with the wrong caps. They came back the following day to put correct ones on. Now I'm waiting for my updated invoice which should show a credit of fence they never removed. Invoice comes with no update. They are trying to charge me for work that wasn't preformed. Needless to say I wish I went with someone else and you should too. read more

My wife and I wanted to get a fence and their quote was a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than their competitors. However, we we left waiting around an entire day for the install and received no apology. The installer came and quickly put up the fence, but didn't finish the job, complaining about the company about how they didn't give enough posts. Then it took A WHOLE MONTH to get the last post put on to complete the job. This came after multiple contacts to the company via text to the salesman, phone calls to the company itself, and an online complaint. After the final post was put up I tried getting in contact with the company to express my concern with the lack of customer care. I was called by the company, and I called back, never to be contacted again. In the end, I would have paid a little extra to have better service. read more

If I could give no stars, that is what they deserve. Over a month ago, James came out to speak with me about fencing and take measurements. He was very nice and told me I would receive an estimate very soon. Well, two weeks later I called him and he said he was waiting from the gate opener person for estimate cost, and I asked him to send me estimate very soon as I wanted to get on this project immediately. I texted him a few days ago AND called the company office on Falkenburg Rd, and it went to voice mail. I left a message asking for someone to call me. NO ONE CALLED BACK!! I initially called them because I saw them working and installing a fence next door to me. The job look very good. BUT this experience with their lack of customer service and ignoring me takes the cake! I even told James he had a week to get back to me and he didn't. I guess they don't want to do the job and also receive my disappointing and unsatisfied review. So sad, as I see their ads on TV and thought they would be professional. They ARE NOT!! read more

From contacting Fence Outlet to completion, I am 100% impressed with their service and staff. A friend in passing mentioned the company name. Greg, an estimator setup an appointment, was timely, prepared and explained a timeline. He filed out all permit information in my presence. Meanwhile I was notified well in advance when the work was to begin, the day prior and when the crew was actually on the way. The office called while the work was in progress to make sure there were no issues and again when it was completed. That crew put in one long hot day of work and returned to complete the gates. Judy from the office has since done follow up work on the permit sign off. I truly appreciate their effort and good work ethic. read more

I've had a lot of upgrades done to our house over the years, and from a lot of different companies-Fence Outlet has been the absolute worst. While the salesman did a good job with talking options and pricing, it was all downhill from there. they basically destroyed my backyard, left a huge mess that i had to clean up, installed the wrong fence in the front and side, and despite calling FO to tell them it was wrong i was told "just let them finish and we will replace it later with the correct one". so another crew had to come out, tear that fence out and install yet another one...except that time they came out empty handed because they were told the correct fence had been dropped off for them to install, but it hadnt. so they took out the wrong fence, then had to come back later with the correct one. and even then, they were missing parts and had to come back yet again later to bring those. did i mention they also kept installing the fence on the side of the house incorrectly from the blueprints the salesman had written up, and had to come correct that as well? long story short, huge pain in the ass that took months to correct. never again. read more

My instructions were simple, "Remove the old fence then place the new fence in the exact same spot." The two man crew ignored my repeated attempts to mark the sprinkler system and requests not to put the fence over the sprinkler heads. They also made the fence too short by four feet which was corrected after several telephone calls and several weeks of waiting. I thought I was being dismissed because I am a woman but I see by the two previous reviewers they disrespect everyone. I paid $8000.00 for a beautiful vinyl fence so you would think they could listen better. read more

First off it takes nearly a month for them to reply back with an install date. Second they promise one day install and now I am on day three. I have no one in the area since I am new and had to trust the BBB who gave them a 4.7/5.... no idea how. Something in my gut said stay home, glad I did. Day one they do not show until nearly 10, at this point I knew it was not one day. I had paid extra to have the fence extended by 1 panel more towards the front. Part way through the day I head towards my room and see the posts right in my bedroom window, further towards the back of the house. The crew speaks no English so I am trying to mime that the posts go up further. The tape measure and contract come out and they end up agreeing that I am right, post comes out and new are placed. About 3 it starts to thunder and rain so it is understandable they left for the day. Rain clears and I go outside to look, I fill in the giant holes they left around the yard from moving posts, I do not want the dog breaking his leg. Then I realize that the holes from old posts are outside the new fence line, the new posts are set way in on my yard. I know this is wrong and I call the rep, who is the only positive part of this fiasco. He is telling me that they need to follow the fence line, keep in mind the panel goes on the outside, yadda yadda.... I know he is wrong ... not the worst part. There is a tree int he corner of my yard. Very large but set in from the edge. The me take it upon themselves to cut a triangle acroos the front of the tree. This removes a huge amount of my already small yard, this leave my neighbors back property wide open AND it just lloks like crap. GM went out with the rep since only they are able to speak to the crew. For the first time a measuring tape comes out and indeed I was right. Off by 4 inches on one side, 5 inches in the back and whole foot on the other side. The fence also now nicely goes behind the tree where it belongs, I have a whole yard. I get home and as I drive around the corner I notice I can see sunlight under my fence, odd since I ordered flush with the ground to prevent the dog from running away. At this point I lost my everloving mind on them. Through terrible language barrier I was able to make out that they planned to put a board along the ground at the base of the fence to fill the gap. Not what I ordered, not asteticly pleasing and not going to deter a dog from digging if he still see the sunlight. I just pray it works. At more than 5K I am ctually afraid to let my dog out. The holes, the trash, the thought of escaping... this is a nightmare. The gate goes in today so I pray that works. I am also concered that the new posts were not installed as well the second/third time around due to them cutting coreners and not losing profit. I hope they are cemented in and proper or they will hear from me. On top of all that the fence is downright ugly. There is slime and mold on it straight away. The contract said roughcut. I knwo fences are not sanded, there are splinters and rough edges, go to home depot and you can see they are not finished wood.... this is the extreme, these boards are the complete crap boards that no other fence intaller would want, this is the trash that was left over on the garbage heap that was sold for pennies on the dollar. While the fence is now up and looks decent I did not get the gate I was promised nor did the install go as I was told. Make sure if you ask for anything specific you get it in writing and if things do go wrong do not expect a phone call from anyone in charge...I tried to get the project supervisor to call me several times to discuss the issues and I never once received a call. But you better believe as soon as the job was done, someone was calling looking for payment. And while I've never had a fence installed before and maybe this is normal, I was not expecting to find large mounds of dirt left by each fence post for me to clean up and take care of. I've also run across several pieces of wood just left throughout my yard. With better communication from someone in charge and all three workers putting in a full days work instead of just one out of the three this rating could have been much higher. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews but FENCE OUTLET is a horrible company. I had a guy come to my house and gave me a quote on a fence. I live in St Pete and my lot is about a quarter of acre. I told them that they could not leave any fence down over night (if you remove a side of fence then the new one needs to go back up that day because I have a pool and 2 of my neighbors have small children. 6 kids total) After a few weeks a small 3 man crew came over to start work. My fence wasn't going up the same place my old one was placed because the old one wasn't put up on the property line. Well the guys that came to do the work did not speak English and wasn't aware of the fence going where the actual property line was because they weren't told by the sales man who I did tell and showed a survey of my property to. I took off work bc I wanted to be there while they were working which I'm glad I did bc I had to tell them several times what they had to do and where my property line is. Which wasn't easy since they didn't speak English. I know, long story short. They left the fence down over night and put up a crappy mesh barrier that was a couple feet off the ground so any small child could easily walk under. The rest of the days only one guy showed up everyday and it ended up taking a week to put up my fence which should of taken maybe a day and a half. Some of the 4x4 are crooked and I've found gaps in the board on board fence that I paid for. The side gate scrapes on the concrete when I open it so I have to lift it up or push it really hard to open. It was a horrible experience and I would strongly recommend NOT doing business with them. I hear there commercials all time on the radio and it pisses me off every time I hear it because I'm sure they are doing the same thing to all there customers. And there were peices of wood left all over the yard. 2"- 6" peices all over. read more

Horrible experience. Waited six weeks for installation, showed up at 4pm on day of installation only to tell me they were just dropping off material. Showed up next day (Saturday) with one man "crew" to do a half ass job and run out of material. Installed fence about as straight as the Panama Canal. Was promised it would be corrected only for the same one man "crew" to be assigned the third try. Half assed the job, left a mess, destroyed my yard and washed concrete from my yard all over the sidewalk. The HOA lives that! Waited for the supervisor to show up at 5 only to stay outside with him while the two employees yelled at each other in Spanish. He "fixed" the fence by 8:30. I am still trying to remove concrete from everything, concrete on top of ground, dirt everywhere and I found a nice pile of trash in my bushes that was convenient for them to use. All communications ceased once I signed papers to get these clowns off my property. Perhaps the BBB and Angie's list will wake them up. This is just half of it, avoid at all costs! read more
