I took him at his professional word and approved the work on that basis. It did not last 12 hours. The system stopped working the same day. Only afterward did I read the fine print on the invoice, which says the opposite of what I was told in person: that a recharge carries no guarantee of operation for any period of time and that the refrigerant may keep leaking. So I was sold a "summer" fix verbally, handed a disclaimer in writing, and left with a system that quit before the next morning. To make it worse, no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know the outcome of the conversation with their technician. Having managed large operations for years, I know there's a right way and a wrong way to do business: set honest expectations, stand behind what your technician promises, and communicate directly. None of that happened here. My advice, get every promise in writing before you approve any work, or better yet, call someone else.

The site visit was scheduled and they followed up with me a few hours before confirming that they'd arrive a few minutes early and to check if that was ok. Yes, not late- but EARLY. A pretty rare experience for any service provider. The actual testing was thorough and easy. From a visual inspection and moisture testing tool to the high-tech inspection tool that sees moisture and heat through walls all the way to the air sampling Tal was efficient and explanatory. He specifically sampled each area that we were concerned about and was done in about 25 minutes. I was told that lab results and analysis could take a few days and we were all set. In only two days I got the official report back and confirmed I understood the analysis with an email exchange with Tal. It was great to learn everything was completely safe and no abnormal mold was present! Overall NYMS was an excellent experience and highly recommended. To save a little bit take advantage of the Yelp deal they have offered too!
