Usman and his incredibly capable crew restored and repaired my 6 story townhouse back exterior and…read moremy roof, which are made out of EIFS stucco. We had hired a structural engineer to add flashing to balconies as well as ceiling fans. When he added the fans, he cut into the EIFS and did a very poor job patching the channel he cut to hide the electric. This caused condensation inside the home and required immediate repair. Usman is a class act. He personally showed up to the project himself every single day. He also did certain parts of the project himself or was helping his men in any way he could by doing various tasks. The roof needed a sauna removal, which Usman and his crew did with extreme care, but also left lots of damage to the EIFS stucco. Usman and his team carefully repaired it. Upon repair, he inspected our roof and found many critical issues we were unaware of. It was not done in a "pushy contractor" way, it was done because he knows his business and his products so well, he wanted to figure out why the roof was requiring so much product and because he is INCREDIBLY detail oriented. It was because the EIFS was getting wet due to exposed limestone joints, which over time would have meant we would have to redo the entire EIFS (a very big and expensive job) and he also found an immediate future issue which would have caused a leak. We were able to fix and get ahead of both, while staying on the original timeline. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Usman and his team's attention to detail from start to finish of the project. Over the past 8 years in my townhouse, I have put a lot of work into it. It is tricky to find a great contractor. One that is not only talented, but also cares about his work AND his workers!!! That is a true sign to me of a wonderful company. He not only ordered lunch for his crew, he ALSO ordered lunch for my housekeeper and myself! I kept calling my husband and telling him how kind Usman was and how thorough. He is EXTREMELY thorough. He is collaborative in the sense that he will listen to the owner (in this case me) and address any and all concerns or questions I had with thoughtfulness and care. We hadn't planned on restoring the front of my building, which is limestone, but I had a quick question about it (NOT part of the scope!) for Usman and after I received the answer, my husband and I decided to get a bid to do preventative work to restore the front using Usman and his team again. I will absolutely continue to be a repeat customer. Owning a building requires contractors and Usman and his team are absolute gems. Clean, courteous, professional, and talented. We have spent hundreds of thousands on "top contractors" and some have been good, some awful, Usman was great. I couldn't recommend Hi Tech Contracting & Restoration more.

After living in our apartment without any issues for years, the brick wall in our bedroom suddenly…read morestarted to let in a strange smell through the many cracks and tiny holes. The brick wall is directly against the wall of a neighboring high-rise building, so we did not have a lot of flexibility as to what we were allowed to do. We could not re-point the entire wall, so Ahmed selectively scraped around all of the holes and refilled them with new mortar. Another challenge was that we had no idea what the brick wall had originally been sealed with over twenty years ago. So Ahmed tested a couple of nontoxic sealers on the wall to see what would work. Then he sealed the wall with two thick coats, letting the first coat dry for over 24 hours before putting on the second coat. There were a lot of challenges with this project and Ahmed listened to our concerns and provided us with solutions for our particular situation. He was kind, calm, polite, and communicative, always texting to confirm appointments and letting us know when he was en route. He worked quickly and diligently and was a stickler for quality and precision. It was a pleasure working with him. We will not hesitate to hire Ahmed again in the future, and I would highly recommend him to everyone!

Initially, I was thinking just a quick patch up job on two walls since there were no water issues, but he suggested that I completely remove the outer stucco and rebuild it with an extra layer, giving me a much more durable solution, and also suggested doing all 3 walls rather than the two. Everything was explained well and he provided a contract with everything written down on paper. As they were working, it became apparent that they would not be able to remove all of the old stucco from parts of one of the walls because it was hard to access some of the foundation because of the ledge of the house, so there is one section which was done differently than the rest of the foundation and doesn't look as finished compared to the rest of the work, which looks fantastic. The project was finished in a timely fashion despite all of the recent rainstorms, communication/updates were excellent throughout the job, and clean up was excellent. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of the work and would use them again for future projects

He's reliable and showed every day including the weekends (except on a very rainy sunday) but still finished on time. He poured a large area of concrete in my front yard and my backyard, he built a brick front porch and steps to match the existing bricks which came out looking wonderful. He also did some demolition of an old porch in the backyard and refinished it with new brick work and built a block and concrete retaining wall in the back. However they actually offer their service in a lot of areas around brooklyn, so I hired them to rework the stone steps of my deck. Ahmad solved my bad rain leak and I could not be more grateful. I had a really bad leak every time it rained, which these days in NY is worse and worse. Three different contractors said it was an upstairs neighbor's balcony but even after that was repaired by someone else, the leak was still there. Ahmad examined everything and found the most likely water entry point that no one else had suggested. He was very straightforward, gave a few different recommendations and ultimately repaired and pointed the brick facade and lintel for a reasonable cost as well. Highly recommend. read more

After researching several roofers I decide to hire them to repair two roofs in my home. They came and did my roof in one day. Their prices were unbeatable for the service. They were very professional and also very friendly. They handled all my problems and gave me the security that if there was any other leaks in my roof they would service them. When I realized that it wasn't that expensive for them to do what I wanted, I chose them to come and remodel my kitchen. This company was highly recommended to me by a friend. I needed a new brick stoop and had problems with puddling water in my yard. He took the time and explained the work that needed to be done and helped me choose a long lasting brick for the stoop. His crew paid attention to detail and floated the cement in the yard pitching it away from my foundation and now there no longer and puddles. We didn't know there was an issue with our AC pipes until 6 months later when the weather got warmer. Smart General just finished up my stucco project last week on one of my rental homes. I brought the place a year ago and it was hideous to look at. Finally I had them come in and redo all the stucco and they did a fantastic job. It really made a difference because I've had to potential renters call about the property already. cry-baby and dishonest concrete contractor! got a high quote…read more$2300 from asad to replace two flags (squares) of a sidewalk in rockaway beach; insurance company requested the repair so just wanted to get it done asap. asad showed up a couple hours later than promised with his brand new red truck and 2 "assistants" from the home depot parking lot. using a little hand grinder (4") to cut the squares was the first hint that this job was not going to be done professionally! (i hired bricktech because a couple of weeks previously they had done a clean, quality job for my neighbor.) i asked asad to please use a larger grinder to properly cut the slab. i return from getting a coffee and asad's 2 "assistants" are packing the broken concrete of the original 5" slab into the flags that are about to be hand mixed and poured; i tell asad that the new slab he is installing can not be 2" thick and he should replace the original 5" slab with a 5" slab especially since it is a corner with a bus stop. asad suddenly says he can't do the job if i am not happy! i had zelled him $1150 (%50) as he started the job; as per our agreement. i ask asad why he is doing such a crappy, dishonest job for me when he recently did a nice job, up the block, for my neighbor. asad starts to cry and tells his 2 "assistants" to stop work and get back into the fancy new truck. wow! wow! i never met a cry-baby concrete contractor!! asad obviously embarrassed to tell his dad about his unprofessionalism has not reimbursed any part of the money. i really think asad is a spoiled child who just wants to drive an expensive new red truck but he does not know how to do his job. he is unprofessional and incompetent; i recommend working exclusively with his father or any other contractor. asad left me with a large 2 flag hole to fill at 3pm! luckily i was able to get a yard of premix delivered (whithin 1hr) and knew two guys who could help otherwise it would have been stressful! reimburse me what you owe. asad you are a dishonest person who needs to grow up!
