This is one of the easiest projects I've experienced in 7 yrs of home projects. My installation was extremely easy because they remove the old fence and poles and set everything in place from scratch. My neighbors have flowerbeds on it either side of me and the work was completed without damaging their beds. We were able to make changes (additions) during the installation at a reasonable cost and again he's knocked out the work I cleaned up during the process and after. I have a new picket fence that I'm proud of, and my neighbors are happy with. The price was fair, not greedy and definitely not taking advantage of customers!

I contacted Charleston Fence for a quote on replacing 3 of the four sides of my yard fence. Andy came out quickly and efficiently provided a quote via email and text. I had already requested permission from my HOA, but had I not, Andy and / or his team would've helped me with that process. The HOA took a full 30 days for a response, but again, that's for another review. We reviewed the quote and I provided Andy with a 50% down payment. Once we got the approval, Andy was able to give me a time when my fence would be replaced. As promised, they showed up on Thursday of last week to tear down the old fence and set the posts for the new one. Cleanup was superb, and even my neighbors commented on how great it looked after only the fence was taken down. The next day, they came in and put up on the new fence, and they were done about halfway through the day. The fence looks great. I'm really proud to have a Charleston Fence, and the neighbors all seem to love it too. Would be happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence.

I treated there workers nice buying them lunch on the days they worked. One side the pickets didn't match in color. Was not even close. As they were building it I brought it to there attention. They told me not to worry it would all fade in and look the same. It didn't. Not even close. They told me "Why don't you just paint the fence?" Other side of the fence was where we had our property regraded. We told them that the ground was softer there. They said no problem. Now the fence leans about a foot out of level on the top. We called them and they said they would have to charge us to come out and fix it. Fence is not even 4 months old.

Followed the slope of the yard and made things as aesthetic and level as possible and did a good job of making thinks tight and avoided gaps. I think it is easier to make a metal fence look good since there is little variation compared with wood. The price was within the average of the 5 or 6 places I asked for quotes (aluminum fences are not cheap) and they didn't low-ball and raise their price by a large percentage. One thing I liked, they wanted to be sure the HOA and city regulations and permits were met which made me feel they were professionals and not apt to cut corners. They asked for the material costs upfront (check is fine) and then the residual at completion.

There is too much bad to put in one review... Firstly, Allen didn't show up on time once... He took…read moreover a month and never actually finished the fence. He did poor work and left my yard in awful condition. I have piles of concrete that must've been spilled and never cleaned up... I had half of the stumps of the posts he never cut or pulled up and cigarettes scattered across my yard.. He cut all the posts with a sawzall so you can see crooked lines everywhere.. I feel like I could write a novel about the bad experience, but I'll leave it there. Hopefully if you've gotten this far you've got the hint that it's not worth your time or money..
