Very disappointed the past 3-4 times I've ordered from here. This was our go to place for takeout Chinese food but the past few times the food has been sub par. Last night we couldn't even eat the kung po chicken, it had no flavor and overwhelming heat. My husband said the chicken tasted almost rancid. Ordered take out from Feng Shui tonight and the food was not hot and seemed to be prepared a few hours before we ordered, The sampler for 1 was very soggy so all of the crispness of the chicken finger made it unappealing:. The chicken wings overcooked, the crab Rangoon wet and the egg roll soft. The best was the beef skewer although cold. The sesame chicken was over cooked and rubbery. Got the lo mein which was fine exactly as expected. I also ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and it came as breaded chicken tenders with a side of syrup red sauce. The first thing we noticed the past 3 or 4 times we visited is that the restaurant is dirty. The windows and floors are filthy, the floors are disgusting. We gave this place a shot because their sushi is decent and made to order. Good selection, so I'll give them 2 stars for at least having decent sushi. Non-sushi items aren't great, tried everything from tofu to shrimp to chicken to beef - unimpressed and noodles were nasty. First time we've trashed Chinese take out leftovers. I only review Chinese-American restaurants (or American Chinese, if you prefer) based on one dish, and one dish alone, which is the greatest dish in the pantheon of Chinese-American awesomeness: General Tso's Chicken (Spelled however you want--here they call it General Gau's--but I guarantee you are actually pronouncing it wrong, Silly Rabbit.) So, as for GTC at FSK, I ordered it via GrubHub. It was delivered very fast and was quite hot when it arrived. The batter was decent, although less crispy than I prefer, which is understandable for delivery or take-out. The sauce was not too sweet, not too sticky, but wasn't at all spicy. Would have definitely benefited from a bit more heat. Came without rice, and served on "not really a bed" of broccoli florets (as in 2 or 3 teeny ones that got lost and wilted in the sauce). Also a few dried red chilies. As far as the chicken, some of it was reasonably cooked, not exactly tender or juicy, but not tough either. But many of the smaller pieces, and some of the larger that were cut longitudinally, had been over-cooked and were tough and dry. All in all, serviceable, but I can't give it more than 2 stars. [Also ordered some other standards, some of which were noticeably in the Boston-style of Chinese American cooking, but the GTC was the best dish.] read more

Yes, I think A-OK is a pretty appropriate rating for this place. You get good take-out quality Pan-Asian food, but at sit-down prices. While there are a couple tables where you can have you meal seated in the restaurant, it is mostly take-out oriented. I went with three other friends, and well all ordered something different, on a separate bill. While we did not try each other's food, there were gaps between the times each of our meal were prepared, and an especially large gap between the person before me, and me (I ordered/got food last). It seemed as though they only prepared the second dish once the first was complete, rather than completing simultaneously. I ended up getting the Pad Thai because of how delicious it looked like on the picture on the menu. When the dish came out, it was piping hot! Which is always a plus. As for the taste, it was, in one word "pleasant". There was an ample amount of chicken that was cooked perfectly. It was tender and wicked soft. There was also an okay amount of veggies, also cooked perfectly. There was a very large amount of noodles, the real thin long kind where you shamelessly wrap them on your fork and gobble them up. However, the noodles were perhaps a touch too oily... possibly because of the sauce... In terms of the sauce, it was mildly sweet, and tied everything together very well. However, overall, I found that other than the combination of textures from the chicken, veggies, and the fact that everything was cooked perfectly, I would have liked that the dish is a little more than one dimensional in terms of flavor. Because of the sauce, there was no other noticeable seasoning or otherwise other than that sauce. there is definitely potential for this dish to be much more flavorful if the sauce was not the only thing adding flavor. While if this were priced as regular take-out, I would not be complaining, but at a cost of $12, I set the bar a little higher. I will, however, give them the fact that portion size was quite large (difficult to eat in one sitting) and they did provide the very spicy Asian mustard on the side. read more

It's not horrible but it's not great food either. So if you're coming here for your regular American Chinese cheap meal fix, it's probably the joint. But for every other type of an experience, it's a miss. I wish establishments would stop claiming they serve Japanese foods when they don't use dashi stock, miso paste, nor Japanese soy sauce. My issue with this place is everything is Chinese seasoning based in dishes that carry a Japanese label. I usually get the Chirashi when I'm too lazy to cook - it's an assortment of sashimi on sushi rice. This place usually does an ok job. Presentation is super lackluster on a dish that's famous for its arrangement and pop of color. The rice is not seasoned when it should be (it's just a mix of rice vinegar, not that hard) and the fish is cut by a sushi chef in training based on now the bite never cuts through smoothly with teeth without encountering the grain of the tendon. Anyway, I can rant on for days about Japanese food because I love it so much and know what it's supposed to taste like so my expectations are higher than someone who hasn't tasted a Japanese dish and just want to eat whatever. If you're drunk and have the munchies, have fun. If you're in a bind and need something quick and healthy, go for the Japanese sashimi selection. If you miss the taste of japan or want the authentic stuff, this ain't it. read more

I could not have been more satisfied with my food order! I placed a huge order for a weekend brunch and I received it in less than 20 minutes. The quality and taste was mouth watering. Piping hot, fresh and so flavorful. The chicken fingers and chicken wings are super size and so juicy. My new favorite is the broccoli w/garlic, cooked to perfection with a great crunch and so much flavor. I couldn't have enjoyed a meal more. I'm just hoping people don't eat everything so we have more leftovers:) I definitely will be ordering again soon and often! read more

Love the taste of the food, but wish they had smaller rice portions available (only large) and the rice is always a bit hard and crunchy (undercooked?). Appetizer portions are also too large. I ate in the restaurant on a Saturday around lunchtime. The inside is very small so seating is super limited. Drinks are (at the moment) canned sodas. I ordered the Beijing ravioli as a starter and a spicy chili chicken entree. The staff was super friendly and our entree came out fast, before the appetizer even. She checked in often though so we weren't left wondering. When it came it was fresh out of the pan hot. The spicy chili chicken was actually spicy (rare in the north east IMO, but awesome to see in this establishment.). The food was served on paper plates with plastic utensils, which was a little divey but okay. She seemed surprised when we asked for chopsticks instead. Overall the food was really good. They do deliver and for North Waltham, they fill a much needed market. (Much better than Three Fortunes, which frankly is a dump with rude staff). The parking situation is a little rough to get into on the corner of Lexington and Trapelo, and the seating is limited, so take that into consideration if you decide to eat in. I have high hopes for Feng Shui as there are limited options for good Chinese food in Waltham. I work near their other location in Chelmsford and have always had good food there. We ordered take out tonight which was delivered promptly and all of the food traveled well. The orange beef was nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. Feng Shui is a welcome addition to North Waltham! Their Chinese food and Sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the small eating area is very clean. I would like to see an expanded menu, as they don't have a plethora of options. For example, they only have a handful of Chinese seafood dishes. However, I can understand why given their small size and the fact that they've only been open for about a month. I've always eaten within 5-10 minutes of ordering, which is fantastic. They have a total of 10 seats, but they're usually empty as most of their business is takeout and delivery. The service is prompt and friendly. Definitely give them a try! read more

So glad to have found this place in Waltham. Food is good, just wished it wasn't on the expensive side. Classic beef and broccoli is great - meat is tender and cooked just right. Sesame chicken has good amount of chicken, unlike other take out places where they put tons of bread and barely any chicken. Will have to try their other dishes some time. The restaurant itself is small and cozy with limited seating. We've only done take out for that reason. The food here is okay but a couple of stars off for their practices, especially during Covid. When we went to pickup food, a cook walked out right by us with no mask on and then stood by the front door and smoked. Walking through that on the way out was gross. The sushi person had no mask and no gloves, and mind you, the space is tiny inside. Also, they had hand sanitizer for public use that was recalled due to it being toxic. We let them know and they didn't seem phased and said they would remove it. I was at the plaza a few days later and was curious if they replaced the sanitizer and looked in the window and it was still there. That is a poor move in the eyes of public safety. read more

The food is really good, although I wish they made the small Peking ravioli (what they call Bejing ravioli) instead of the large ones. The staff are nice and have the food ready when they say they will. The big problem for me is they only offer large-sized appetizers. Since I am usually only buying food for two, this means we spend a fortune for food we barely finish and don't want to eat for days and days. FINALLY! Good Chinese/Sushi take out in the Waltham area (our 'hood to boot) where the food isn't greasy; but fresh and not overly priced. We've ordered here three times and every time the food has been consistent and delish. The only negative? There are only two tables for eat-in and no high chairs. Feng shui is the worst chinese food restaurant in waltham. The food that customers returned are being resold, nothing goes on waste. Their food tates nastier every time. I ordered a whole fish, it was hard and when I cut it, the meat sells rotten. This time it's beef broccoli and rice for 13 dollars but no rice. The broccoli was saggy looks like something that's been sitting there for a long time. I recall a friend asking to stay away, I just have forgotten up until now. It's disgusting just thinking about eating food that someone else already tasted or cough over..with many airborne diseases now, one needs to be careful when ordering from chinese. I am calling the health department inspector and fill out a proper complaint about them. In the meantime stop complaining and take action. read more

Was glad to see a different option in the area. We came here for lunch mid-week and ordered from their lunch specials for dine-in. The combination fried rice +3 items was such a small portion. Imagine a paper plate with a small scoop of fried rice and 2-3 pieces of crab rangoon, pork spare rib, and spring roll (or other typical Chinese food app). For $9, it felt rather unimpressive (though it did taste fine). We also got the chicken pad thai. Be warned - they use egg noodles versus rice noodles, and there's not much of a peanut flavor in it. I swear there's nuoc mam in it (but don't quote me on that). But, the portion for the pad thai was really good, so I definitely recommend the pad thai over the Chinese lunch combo. Aside from the actual food, I do commend them on other aspects. The sit-down area was well kept and clean (though there are very few seats). The folks who worked there are very friendly. They were happy to oblige when we asked for chopsticks and extra napkins. The food was served very quickly as well. We saw the same level of customer service for the other folks eating there as well. read more

Customer service is non-existent. Twice now they have gotten our order wrong based on what they want to call a "miscommunication", which translates into them not understanding what was very clearly ordered. The location is convenient so the first time, we let it go and they made us come back to switch the orders. The second time, refusing to offer a small discount for the error (we did not have time for the correct order to be cooked) they let regular customers walk away, for good. And either food was wasted or hey, maybe it ended up in the next order. Done with this place. Taking business somewhere where customer loyalty means something. read more

I just ordered from here the other day and found the food quite good. I especially like the sesame chicken and General pow chicken. It was very fresh and not overly fried. I gave them four stars instead of five because the chicken and broccoli I ordered seem to be a little bit overcooked and tough.
