He is by far one of the most knowledgeable and caring pediatricians I have ever spoken with. The nurses and staff at Suburban Pediatrics are always happy to answer any questions I have, and give me peace of mind when I am unsure about what to do when something seems off with the kids. They have two offices locations and weekend hours, which makes a world of difference for us when something comes up last minute! We love The Children's Clinic!…read more When we first started our search for a Pediatrician, we felt overwhelmed by the options. We were referred to Dr. Plax by 2 sets of friends. When we first called to see if he was accepting new patients, the receptionist said he would personally call us to schedule a meeting. We ended up meeting him at the clinic on a Thursday evening at 6PM. We were elated that he offered to meet us in-person before we made our decision, especially at the end of his work day. He sat with us for 20 minutes and answered all of our questions and eased our concerns. We knew after that meeting that he was definitely going to be our baby's pediatrician! His level of care and concern was something we never expected from a doctor. We were blown away! Every visit thereafter has been so great. He is a very calming doctor who eases all of our concerns and never makes us feel crazy for asking questions. He really knows his stuff. He comes from a family of pediatricians so it's apparent he has passion for what he does! We have never had any problems being seen right away when our baby has been sick which has also been very nice. I had some concerns about my baby so Dr. Plax called me to talk about it. He was then able to see us the next morning! I could go on and on about Children's Clinic and Dr. Plax's care. Highly recommend!

There was a several week period where they had to "review records" before I could schedule an appointment or bring in a sick child. The other office had already "dumped" us because the records were transferred. This left us without a pediatrician for a while, all while needing the second dose of a flu shot. This office told me to take him to the Health Department (um, first off they don't even give vaccines in the City other than Monkeypox and second, everywhere they referred me to did not do babies!) My baby was finally "accepted", after they reviewed his typical shots I guess, and we came in for an ear check. It took TWO 15 MIN calls to even make an appointment. The staff that answers the phone was very rude as well. Upon arrival, there are three doors you can use. I used the one that said "well visit" and listed ear ache. After going in, they tell me I'm in the wrong place and need to use the sick door. Ugh, then why list ear ache?? The wait time is minimal, it went very quickly, and I really liked the doctor, but the difficulty in making an appointment is something I don't want to deal with on a regular basis. It's also a HUGE office. I already transferred out.

We have found him to be very caring, a good listener, he knows the right questions to ask pertaining to our visit, and gives us a very high quality of care because he is so knowledgeable. We also appreciate all of his staff who are also very dedicated to excellent patient care. We appreciate that our wait times are good, getting in to see him within a few minutes of our arrival. Another thing we really like about Dr. Grus, that being established patients, we can usually get a same-day or next day appointment, instead of having to go to an urgent care. I believe he does this as a service for his patients, and I think all doctors should do this. We have a good experience from start to finish because there is plenty of parking, check in is speedy, a lab is available on site, and checkout is in his office. At the appointment, which was on time, it was obvious she had reviewed my appointment inches-thick pile of records. She was helpful, asked questions, made suggestions, and together we developed a plan for further diagnostics. I probably won't need to see her again, but I would not hesitate to if needed. She treated me with care and respect, listened, and didn't need to act as though she had all the answers. She also provided a recommendation for a physician in another field who will be better suited to my needs, and ordered lab tests to provide that doctor with information she will need. I was able to get the labs done quickly a few minutes later in the same building complex. Peace of mind and minimal hassle.

This is a great relief as I have become ill when out of town and either suffered through the issue (made flying less an attractive pleasure than usual or went to an ER.
