Jen showed such respect to him and it was a big comfort to him to have some control as he was worried about things getting lasered or frozen off! I took my younger son recently. He was also nervous about procedures being painful (he has such a needle aversion). Jen was gentle, eased his worries and explained everything so completely to him. He thought the concept of beetle juice was pretty cool, too! He rated the visit a 10 out of 10!! The front office staff is also very kind!!

After scrolling through more than six months of the calendar and not finding any open slots, I gave up. They actually had the audacity to send me a reminder that I needed follow up, long after I'd moved on to another office.

This is a review of the practice itself and not of any particular doctor. I was given a…read moreprescription by a doctor in this practice and I said clearly that the drug should contain no dyes. The doctor understood this, so I thought I that my directions would be honored. But when I received the drug, it was dyed pink. This exact same drug (in extended release form) did indeed exist in a non-dyed form. But the undyed form had not been requested by the doctor's office. I spent loads of my time trying to get this issue resolved, calling the practice several times, calling the pharmacy, hearing verbatim from the pharmacy the prescription directions called in, and clearly, the prescription was called in incorrectly. All this was extremely frustrating. The "technician" did finally call in the correct prescription AFTER first calling in the incorrect prescription, but the pharmacy said that the drug had been issued, they could not refund the money, and they could not correct the issue with the insurance. In exasperation I finally called the practice manager for Dermatological Care, and the practice manager tried calling the pharmacy but, in the end, seemed to me to want to cover for the practice, saying the prescription was called in correctly. INDEED IT WAS NOT INITIALLY CALLED IN CORRECTLY. In the end, I had to pray for a second prescription (ie, paying twice for the same drug) because the practice refused to take responsibility for its error. Calling in the correct prescription AFTER the original one was issued is not a solution! I will not use this practice again because I do not want to be involved with nor support any practice which will not take responsibility for its own errors. As far as I am concerned, this practice owes me an apology and about $59.00.

I initially…read morechose them because of their Arnold location and working with kids, but they only accept new patients or children at their Sunset Hills office, which is a far drive for us. Because they don't offer after-school slots for new patients (the latest they offer is 2:30 PM), I had to arrange classroom coverage to leave work early as a teacher, and pull my daughters out of school. After dealing with school delays, traffic, and difficult parking, we walked into the office at 2:40 PM for our 2:30 PM appointment. The receptionist was on the phone, and when she finally acknowledged us at 2:41pm, she rudely informed me that they would not see us because we were past their 10-minute grace period by one minute. We were literally one minute late with two young kids in tow. I understand the need to stay on schedule, but to turn away a new patient who waited over a month for an appointment--and who clearly rushed to get there--over sixty seconds is completely rigid and lacking in basic customer service. We will not be back and I recommend looking elsewhere if you want an office that values its patients' time and effort.
