Great tour of the country's oldest ballpark. The tour was only about 25 people and a lot of walking, so be prepared with some supportive shoes. It starts in the gift store across the street and be prepared to go through a metal detector and have small bags only, just like a regular fan. We sat in the only remaining wooden seats, then to the Green Monster, to the press booth, and all the way around to the other side to view the marked seat where Ted Williams hit the farthest home run ball. We finished up in the royal rooters clubhouse. It was about an hour and covered all the highlights from the structure itself to early baseball and how the ballpark has grown but also stayed the same in many ways. The owners of the team created a unique space that they and future owners were able to preserve so we have this historical reminder. Our tour guide was very informative and answered all the group's questions, and we took the opportunity to really ask a lot about the players and the game. The clubhouse has a lot of great signed memorabilia to look at at your own leisure at the end. Then you can circle back to the gift shop or swing by some of the statues of the greats outside. It's a cool reminder of when sports were really integrated into the neighborhood community. This is a great tour for sports fans and history fans. There are only a couple old parks left, so it's worth touring just for that.
We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don't watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you're in Boston.

But, I gotta say ... it was a great 90-minute tour for $25/person ... would definitely recommend it ... we learned about why it is located where it is ... the origin of the song "take me out to the ball park", the owners, the sponsors, the definition of "world's series", the green monster, the "curse", the players, the fans, the Cy Young Award, the Kentucky Blue Grass on the field and more ... the tour group gathers in a store & ends in a museum. Our guide Kevin was outstanding and his 2nd Susan friendly too. Whether a fan of baseball or not - the history is told in a compelling way.
A Must for Any Baseball Fan Growing up a Tigers fan, I never thought I'd be raving about anything that has to do with Boston. But Fenway Park is something else entirely. Walking through the oldest ballpark in the league is something every baseball fan owes themselves, rivalries aside. The history is everywhere you look, from the Green Monster to the hand-operated scoreboard to the quirky angles that make this place like no other stadium in the league. A "modern park" can't compete with over a century of stories packed into one place. Our guide John was the highlight of the whole visit. He knew the story behind every single stop and actually made you care about it. No dry recitations, just genuine enthusiasm and details you'd never find on your own. Fenway stands apart from anything I've seen. It has character that newer stadiums spend millions trying to fake and never quite pull off. If you go, ask for John. Seriously, it makes a big difference.
As a lifelong baseball fan, this tour was such a treat! Our tour guide was great and we learned so much! We were able to spend a lot of time inside and see great views of the ballpark from different angles. You check-in at the souvenir shop across the street. I thought the price was fair for the experience we had.
This is a must see for baseball fans. We toured the stadium on a day of a night game so the field and clubhouse were misses. But we saw almost everything else. Lots of stairs so be aware of that. Highlights were the bleacher seats and the oldest seats in the park (people were much smaller back then). A great experience.
What a fun way to spend an hour or so! Our tour guide, Matt, was entertaining and knowledgeable. Any baseball fan should not miss this tour. Honestly, were I in Boston I'd go, again.

Absolute disappointment based on previous visits. I've been on this tour 3 other times, and it was great. This time was complete garbage. The group was more than 70 people and they split us into two groups. At 35, it's still too big, but, there were were. We started in the blue bleacher seats, went to the Aura Club seats, did a quick walk through the press box and the finished at the Monster seats. That was it. No field access, at all. No stops in the club suites, or any other points of interest. Tour guide mentioned retired numbers after someone asked, but he only mentioned Williams, Ortiz, Pedro, and Robinson. Huh? He pointed out the Red Seat and the Scoreboard, but never mentioned Pesky Pole, Citgo Sign, or other fun POI in the stadium. He also promised to show us W.S. Trophies, only to renege and say they weren't available. We went to a game a few days before and I saw as much of the stadium at the game as I did on this tour. I would only recommend this if you want to see the stadium but cannot attend a game. Too bad, as this was once the best ballpark tour around. Complete letdown.

Just passing through as a tourist. Signed up for a tour and learned a lot. Discovered the green monster was built to prevent baseballs going over the wall. In the early days, car dealerships were on the other side. Baseball and windshields are akin to oil and vinegar. Sat in the press box and learned about the curse of the bambino. Apparently the red Sox's has a potential modern day curse. Generations from now, perhaps it will be refer to as the mookie betts curse, lol. As a SoCal, I wish to address Red Sox ownership, "thank you for your service ." Had a wonderful time, thank you for the experience
Amazing experience and I'm not a big baseball fan. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and the park has such awesome history. The green monster, the famous movies, the history, the garden etc.... It truly is something anyone could enjoy, fan or not.
Fenway Park tours were a unique activity for our Boston adventures. For only $25 a ticket, you can learn about the historic and most famous baseball park. I don't follow baseball at all, but it was quite entertaining to learn more about how the park shaped baseball and Boston history. We arrived about 5 minutes later than our reservation time, but because they hold multiple tours per day, they easily moved us to be a part of the next tour. With that being said, arrive on time if you have a very busy itinerary that day! Our tour was pleasant. The tour guide was very informative and passionate about baseball.
This was by far one of life's greatest experiences. The tour guide was well informed and such a history buff. The history of the park is what makes it American icon. I can't recommend this enough when in the Boston area especially given the price. read more
I came for the Pregame tour which is 3 hours before game time. It was a cool experience getting to go down on the warning track while players from both teams were warming up, and getting to hang out on the Green Monster while players were having batting practice and getting the chance to grab a few balls that where hit up there. The one draw back of the tour was right as our guide was getting started to tell us the history of the team and the stadium the PA system started blasting music throughout the entire stadium so we pretty much couldn't hear anything the tour guide was saying. So this tour was pretty much a 45 minute photo op inside the stadium. If I had the chance I'd still love to actually take the real stadium tour on a none game day or earlier enough when there aren't any other park activities going on at the same time. read more

Bought my tickets in advance online. We met for our tour in the Official Boston Red Sox souvenir store across from the stadium. There were probably 50-60 people in our group. Our guide was very passionate about baseball and the Red Sox. We started out with a bathroom break and proceeded to get professional pictures taken. I was a little disappointed because I asked if my eyes were open and he said yes and they ended up being shut. They were charging $40 for a picture. Wish they let us take a little time to take pictures with our own camera. We then went to look at the "red" seat. I did enjoy hearing all the interesting facts and history of the stadium. Enjoying going to the "green monster seats." It was really cool going to the tour right before the game. Would recommend for anyone that likes history or baseball. read more

This was one of the highlights of our vacation. I'll preface this review by saying I think anyone would enjoy this tour even if they aren't a huge baseball fan. The history of the stadium is enough to keep you interested along the tour. Now, if you are a baseball fan- you will be star-struck. If you are a Red Sox fan- you will be in Heaven. Our tour started at the gate across from the gift shop. It was easy to find the check-in point. If you purchase this tour from a third party vendor, you will first check-in at the kiosk a few feet away from the security check point. Don't worry though- the staff are all nice and will help you find your way if you get lost. The group size is fairly large, but the staff does a great job making sure everyone has an opportunity to capture the perfect photos. The lead tour guide carries a microphone with an amplifier so you should not have a hard time hearing the information. Now, let me warn you. Once you step foot onto the lower level of the seating and take in the magnificent field - you will want to go to a game. At least, that's what happened to us. The stadium is designed in a way that makes you feel as though you are on the field in the middle of the action. In truth, there is not a bad seat in the stadium. Throughout your journey, you will hear historical facts about the stadium, sit atop the green monster, go to the press box and contemplate a career change, see the Red Sox garden and see some of the organizations treasures. Why is the green monster so tall? Why is there a red seat in the stadium? What happened with the Red Sox and Babe Ruth? You will get all of these answers and more. Now- the COOLEST part was at the end. You get taken into a room where all of the World Series balls are (starting from 1920s), trophies, bases from historic games and more. We could have spent half the day in that room soaking in the history. Overall, an amazing tour and a cannot miss on your trip to Boston. After all, what is Boston without Fenway. read more

My husband and I did a private tour - the "take me to Fenway tour" last weekend. It was amazing! Our tour guide Joseph was so knowledgeable and kind. The tour was so personable and he took the time to incorporate players we liked and questions we had into his planned time with us. I definitely left feeling like the extra $50 per person was VERY worth it for the private setting. We saw the larger tours and it just seemed like a very different experience. Joseph is so great at his job and we are grateful we got to have him take us around! read more

This is a great tour that was a little over an hour. Susan was our moderator and she was great. We were able to learn some of the history and sit in various locations, including the Green monster. It's 25/person and we'll worth it. There were a lot of people in the tour but we could hear everything and move around quickly. read more

Really fun and informative! Friends highly recommended the Fenway Park tour and this tour is on the top of things to do in Boston. We bought tickets online - $25pp seemed like a good deal for a 1 hour guided tour. Dealing with bag check and finding the meting area was not clear to us. Small purses are allowed but otherwise check your bag. The park does not offer lockers so you will need to use a 3rd party vendor - a few blocks away is Bostonian Barbershop 92 Van Ness St and Fenway Beer Shop 98 Van Ness St who will store bags for $5 per bag. "Tours leave from the Souvenir Store across Jersey Way" or Gate D not the ticket office. As a group, you enter the stadium at Gate D and go through a security check. Once all the logistics are sorted out, the tour starts with some areas of interest in the inside base then to the seats in 3rd base deck for souvenir photos (for purchase at the end of the tour). Up to the Green Monster and around the Fenway Farms rooftop garden with a stop at the Press Box and on to see the Lone Red Seat in the Right Field Bleachers. And finally inside to see the Archives. During this tour, your guide will provide interesting (historical) facts and answer all your questions. There are at least 2 bathroom breaks. You will exit at Gate B. read more

An up-close look at America's most famous ballpark, the Fenway Park Tour is a must not only for baseball fans, but for history buffs, as well. While Red Sox fans may be disappointed with the tour's lack of access to many areas of the stadium (the press box and a museum are the only stops off-limits to the general public), this is still an outstanding way to learn about Fenway's storied past and see the stadium when it's not packed with crowds. On a recent visit to Boston, our family did the tour on a comfortable summer morning, just hours before we would come back for our first ballgame at Fenway. Our tour guide, a Brooklyn native who'd spent decades working for the Red Sox organization, gave us an incredible perspective into the park's 110-year history, as well as some of the most incredible baseball memories that took place on the field. From the Lone Red Seat where Ted Williams hit the longest homer in Fenway history in June of 1946, to the left field foul pole that Carlton Fisk's home run remarkably cleared in the 1986 World Series, the game's history practically drips from every corner of this place. For us, one of the tour's biggest thrills was the opportunity to sit in the Green Monster seats, high above left field. They're tough to score, even for a low-draw regular season game, so a visit up here was priceless. Then, after winding our way through the press box and the upper level concourse for more amazing views of the field and the Boston skyline, we headed down to the Fenway Park Museum. Sure to impress even the most casual fan, the small gallery is a virtual cornucopia of baseball treasures, including signed team baseballs from every World Series club going back to the early 1900s. Scan the balls for signatures from baseball legends like Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig, Jackie Robinson and Sandy Koufax. Then explore the rest of the museum, filled with artifacts from the rich history of the Boston Red Sox. Whether or not you have tickets to a Red Sox game, the Fenway Park tour is an essential experience for any Boston visit. I can't recommend it highly enough. read more
Have been here multiple times dating back to 2005 and was most impressed by the new and improved tour I took with an international group in summer 2024. Unlike past groups which were heavily Sox fans, the expertise and interest level ranged greatly but everyone was engaged by the content. Nice combination of the old school trivia (the bleacher seat Ted Williams hit with his longest HR being one of the highlights) and new twists like swag from the more recent championship runs and a visit to the press box made famous by Moneyball. Recommend doing more than once if you're a big Sox fan ... read more

My 11 year old daughter and I visited Boston over Presidents' Day weekend, primarily to eat lobster rolls. But we found ourselves near Fenway Park, and there happened to be a tour leaving right at the time we were there so we bought tickets. We are not necessarily baseball fans, or Red Sox fans, but we really enjoyed the tour. Fenway Park is so intimate and has such a great history. The guide was super knowledgeable and we definitely recommend this tour to anyone. You get to go into the press box, into the guest locker room, on top of the green monster wall, and all around. The field was being worked on while we were there so no cool pics of the field itself. If we are ever in town during baseball season, we would definitely love to catch a game there. read more
We were in Boston for a quick 4 day working trip. As a history fan I wanted to see Fenway but as a Baseball fan I HAD to see Fenway. This tour was my ticket to do so. The guide was full of wonderful historical information about not only the stadium but the owners, players and events as well. It was a real treat to listen to someone who had a true passion for what they were doing and for sharing it with the everyone. The tour started with us coming out from behind home plate which showed an amazing view of the stadium. We then walked over to the 3rd base side and sat in the original wooden seats. After we were taken up to the upper deck and over to sit on the Green Monster. What a treat. Then off to the other areas to include the press boxes, Fenway Farms and other special locations throughout to include a pretty good view of Ted Williams Red Seat. Then into the museum room with all sorts of great goodies to look at. All in all the tour lasted about an hour + and our group size was around 30 people. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit and the guide had a speaker box so we were all able to hear what was being said without issue. There was no field access which was totally understandable as it was the day after the season opener. Would have been nice to get in the dugout but I was good with what I did get to see. If in the area it is well worth the $30 to take some time and do this. read more

This is a good tour to Go on especially if your a baseball fan. It was cool to learn the history of the stadium and team. A lot of knowledgeable information that's for sure. My only complaint would be there's not a lot of signage of where to go . I wish we could of gone in the locker rooms also . read more

$63.00 for 3 adults! Great tour! Wonderful lady, lot of information! We ate prior at Tasty Burger, take note $10.00 for wonderful cheeseburger, fries and 16 ounce Pabst blue ribbon beer, right outside Fenway, called starving student deal! Tour takes about an hour. A bit of walking but you get to see everything from green monsta seats and press box, museum is great too! Highly recommend! Take note no purse or backpack over 5" x 9", my wife had to check bag for $5.00 per security, bring nothing is better option. Also if visiting area from out of town-a Marshall is around the corner for cheaper souvenir Red Sox shirts and hats. read more

Has anyone taken a tour of Frenway Park on game day? I understand you cannot buy tickets in advance for a tour on the day of a game. Do I have to stand in line early that day in order to get your tickets?
Went on the tour yesterday, a game day. Bought tickets in advance. You can pick your time slot as well. The tour times closer to game time fill up first. Went at 3:00 and both teams were warming up. Red Sox were wrapping up BP.
