In my opinion, this feels like the equivalent of strong-arm robbery. What makes this even more frustrating is that the previous property management company never charged fees like this. If the property owner decided to switch management companies, why should tenants suddenly be forced to absorb additional costs that never existed before? I did not choose to change property managers, yet I'm expected to pay extra simply because they took over. Charging tenants hundreds of dollars for minimal administrative changes feels excessive, unfair, and completely unnecessary. A lease renewal should not come with a costly fee when the agreement is essentially the same as the previous year with only updated dates and terms. I'll post a copy of all these the fees they charge and you not believe it!!! Renters Warehouse is nothing more than fast food property management. Clover Properties: the worst that I have ever encountered in my life. My apartment was not ready the day before I moved in. How I found out you may ask? I called to solidify a time to pick up my keys (because the office is in Chesapeake and the complex is in Suffolk) only to find out that I had to wait 3 extra days. I was furious. I repeatedly asked why did I have to reach out to them to find out something like this. My unit still wasn't move-in ready that Monday that she told me to move. My fridge and dishwasher were pulled out. Contractors still hadn't finished repairing their damage. My roommate's closet still had shelve parts on the floor. Walls weren't repainted. I had a peach wall with a white golf ball sized spot where they repaired a hole and didn't repaint. They would call the day they were supposed to enter your unit for inspections...while I was at work. There is no repair person (they lie and tell you to call the emergency number but no one ever answers are calls back). They are incompetent and I hope that the owners of the property see that these two are running their business into the ground. I have never been so disappointed in my life. There was no process to getting my deposit back. I had to chase them to return the keys because the office was closed when it was clearly business hours. I'm so over these people because they have no clue what they are doing. Stay away! Run for dear life! Don't give your money, energy, time, or any other resource to these people. I could go on...we almost died from paint inhalation. The fire department responded because the windows are sealed in the building so there was no proper ventilation. Ugh..these are straight up facts! Find somewhere else to reside!

I would not recommend this company to anyone, ever. We hired the Military Relocation Team to…read moremanage our property back in 2016 and the initial years of service were quite reasonable. Communication was noted to be suboptimal but seemingly acceptable in 2020. This included delayed responses and lack of follow through with requests on updates on the property and its maintenance. In 2024 we were notified by an uninvolved party that the house had serious maintenance issues. Efforts were made to reach out to HRMRT, Coastal Property Management LLC, and the owner Barbara Sgueglia via the owner portal and telephone and we received no reply to multiple messages for weeks. Given the concern for the property, we reach out for the first time to the current tenants to discover that despite the tenant posting notification on the portal (as directed) the heating unit had been left unrepaired by HRMRT through the winter, leaving a family including a young child without heat. Also, a pipe had burst months before and HRMRT did send a plumber to fix it but did not follow through with recommended maintenance. The property then sustained tens of thousands of dollars in water damage and mold growth, which left the house uninhabitable and is still being repaired. The tenant was restricted against reaching out to the owner as per stipulations in the lease, so without the engagement of the property management team there was no directed pathway to discover this damage. They responded within the day when notified via portal that they were fired but have yet to reply to the maintenance requests from the tenant or the owner. In short, this military servicemember found their service to be entirely unacceptable and their negligence led to poor conditions for the tenant as well as substantial damage to the house. I gave them 1 star only because this website will not allow submissions with 0 stars.

I complained for two years that the A/C wasn't working right and despite them sending the same unhelpful guy out they never did anything to fix it. Finally broke down and bought window units. Took barely warm (cold during the winter) showers for over a year because they wouldn't follow up with the "warranty company". When my heat wouldn't come on this past winter they FINALLY replaced the hot water tank. I was so happy I cried. The dishwasher had been broken for three weeks when I left. The place was dirty when I moved in and in terrible shape. Carpets had stains on them, walls had crayon on them from the last tenant, blinds were broken, lights weren't working. Took me complaining for a month after I moved in to get them to do anything about it. However even though they take their sweet time... you better not be late with that rent. Be late over 5 days and they send you a nice pay within 14 days or get out letter. And get ready for that late fee! They are heartless and rude. Will fix things cheaply and only to get you to be quiet and pay rent. I'm sure they will blame this on me but I had to say something. Looking forward to getting screwed over on my security deposit.

I moved out after I had a cockroach infestation, and found black mold in the bathroom. Complained about both, no one ever came. They told me to clean up better. WHO SAYS THAT!!! I also complained about the random fees on my rent each month. I had to keep asking them to be removed, always a hassel. They anlways had excuses but I wouldnt hear it. Other tenants don't notice or argue the fees so I'm sure they just see what they can get away with. I paid 1800 for a 2 bedroom, After a year it went to 2400!!!! I couldn't leave just then but that's when I started looking for a new apartment. The sewage can be smelled from your apartment, it's so bad. The garbage is always overflowing. The pool was green for the last month of the summer! Couldn't use it but we're still charged for it. They fine you if your garbage bag, for pick up, is over 25 pounds or if it falls on the floor. I kept getting $25 dollar fees. When I'd try to dispute them I was told I can just take my own trash but ill still be charged the $15 trash vallet fee. Also they're supposed to pickup Sunday-Thursday before 8, they come when they feel like it. But we still get charged regardless. The gym is a joke. They bought new expensive tvs but all the equipment is broken. They also bought new chairs and umbrellas for the pool, so many now that it just looks overcrowded and ridiculous. Maintenance won't show up for anything they consider not worth it. So many of us just do our own repairs. What was I paying for??? So glad I left this place. I'm trying to save you who's reading this, it's not worth it!
