I-like many, during the pandemic skipped out on dental visits and hunkered down. So until today I haven't seen a dentist since February 2020 and with my problematic dental history that was a mistake. An old filling from a different dentist popped out and it turned into a hot tooth leaving me in a lot of pain. Now I know it was only by chance, but of all the dentists I called, Union Dental Shrewsbury had the soonest appointment available and there I went. They have an easy online form to fill out so you don't have to sit and fill out a bunch of paperwork there. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, the place was clean and still taking COVID guidelines seriously. Unfortunately I'm an unintentional difficult dental patient, I tend to require an extra dose of numbing and additionally it usually takes a little bit longer for the numbing to set in for me than others. Today's visit for whatever reason, this particular tooth was a very hot tooth and despite double doses in more nerves the tooth remained active and angry even after half an hour. It was looking like the filling would have to be rescheduled and not once did my dentist Mrs Kim nor did her assistant (hate myself for forgetting her name!) make me feel like a burden at any point. I was a bit embarrassed about it but both were very comforting, attentive and taking it in good stride. I understand business is business and they have other people in need they have to attend to so I was fully accepting that Id be going home still with pain. I could tell Mrs.Kim was stressed from that and really didn't want to do that to me (wouldn't be her fault!) but she didn't give up. Whomever had an appointment after myself was an extremely good Samaritan I wish I could thank personally-- because they willingly let go of their appointment so that Mrs. Kim could try again to work with my ridiculous tooth. Thanks to this Samaritan and this team my tooth eventually chilled the hell out (after a full hour....) and I was able to get the filling. I do feel like most dental businesses (and I honestly wouldn't blame them) would definitely not have attempted to reschedule the next person---to help a Masshealth patient no less. They went above and beyond and not once did they show any irritation towards me and were purely kind and dedicated. I was seeing a different dentist before who couldn't get me sooner but the bedside manner is like night and day and I'll be completely switching to Shrewsbury Union Dental. In my whole life this was the best experience I've had at a dentist- even if the next patient had refused to give up their appointment. Now I feel the need to pay it forward some how!

    I was happy to find this office based on reviews, I chose Dr. Shanon…read more the second appointment I went for a crown and she tried to tell me that my tooth there is something wrong with it, you have to pull it off and you need an implant, she immidiately suggested her husband office westboroug or northborogh now I dont rememeber. I insisted for Dr. Shustack to see me for a second opinion and then that instant she said lets wait for 10 days and see if it gets better , I went to see dr. Shustack for the second opinion and he was not even there, it was her and guess what.. My tooth was perfectly fine, her coment, oh wowww this never happened before. so guess what now I have my crown. i am sure this pissed her off that she kicked my husband off the office because of 3 non show, which for 2 of them I called in advance, and for the last one We had a family emergency and I couldn't call. that was enough for us to receive a letter home telling us that my husband was kicked out, she knew very well that I was going to leave too if the husband is kicked out. they did not send us a prior letter to let us know hey if there is another non show you no longer can be our clients. They immidieately sent the letter that he is not part of that office anymore. Despite my phone calls and emails I sent to the office nothing changed. They also made a discriminatorty decision, as my husband is a truck driver and he needs to find someone to fit his schedule. I still have the secretary voice mail. I sent an email to dr. Shustack office explaining everything and no response at all, not even a phone call from Dr. Shustack. Nothing. I have been with my prior dentist for 10 years and bnever had an issue. this was the worse experience ever and the worse dentist ever. Be aware of her. Very disapponted and very unfairly tretated, very discriminatory.

Dental. I told the caller that I would be there. When I showed up (20 minutes before my appointment), I was told that, because I didn't confirm it, they cancelled. The receptionist also said that they sent me a text message. I pointed out that I don't use a cell phone; the phone number they have for me is a wired phone. I stated that I received a call from a person, and confirmed the appointment verbally. Somebody there called me for a confirmation, got one, and failed to record it properly. When I got a referral to two endodontists a few months earlier, the x-rays that were supposed to be sent from Univ. Dental to the second never arrived. [The first claimed that they were of low quality and did another set.] [I assume the confusion is because there are two separate endodontists (in the same building) with similar names: Worcester Endodontics and Endodontics of Worcester County (sometimes abbreviated to Worcester County Endodontics). Whoever sent them sent them to an approximation of the correct place; not the correct place. Around the same time, as I went to pay, after a cleaning, the receptionist said, "No charge". At an appointment a week or so later, I was told that I didn't pay, as I should have at the previous appointment.

I noticed another customer arguing with them when we got there. I wouldn't even get my teeth cleaned there.
