Such great team with same day crowns! My fiancé used to work here and the environment just felt incredibly warming and light hearted!

I came here for an emergency root canal. It took 11 appointments over 3 months for them to "finish" I have had pain, swelling, infection, not to mention the time off I have had to take. They DO NOT CARE about their patients what soever and the doctors will lie to your face so that they can make their money. Very sad and they should be shut down immediately! read more

I came here for the first time after having moved from CT. I have periodontal disease and get my teeth cleaned every three months. I called here and had all my records transferred ahead of time so that I could get my teeth cleaned at the first appointment. I had gone without cleaning for 6 months due to having to wait for my insurance to become effective. I asked the receptionist if this would be possible and she said yes, as long as they had the records. I also asked that being both dental and perio, could I do cleanings in both departments? (I did this no problem in CT) The receptionist said yes. On my first visit they took X-Rays; they told me I had bone loss (I knew this) and then took me to another room. They had a financial person come in and go over a bunch of extra costs to have my teeth cleaned. I declined them and did not want/need any extras. Then the doctor came in to talk to me and get my history. I was then advised that I could not get my teeth cleaned because they did not have my records. I advised them that they did have my records, but they said either way, we ae not able to clean your teeth today. I said that this was the one and only reason I came here and was assured when I called that I would be able to get my teeth cleaned. So, I scheduled another appointment to go back. I then went through the same finance presentation and again, declined all of it. I just need my teeth cleaned. I then returned a few times for cleaning but when I told them that I would have the next cleaning done by the dentist and not the periodontist, they told me I could not do that. I advised them that that was not what I was told when I called and the entire reason that I chose to go to them was for all the things I asked for but have now not been able to receive. On my last visit they told me that I needed a crown on my back molar. They told me that the filling was breaking down. So, I got a crown. They had the financial person come in and go over the cost. I then had to pay up front before even submitting my insurance. The man also showed me a breakdown of the services and my out-of-pocket expense. He then neglected to show me the drop-down screen of hidden expenses like fluoride treatment, antibacterial cleaning, and a bunch of other stuff. I just told him that all I need is normal teeth cleaning and that was pretty sneaky what you did there, and I only know this because you tried to scam me the first time I was here. When I received the insurance claim, there was a difference of almost $500.00 that was not accounted for on the claim. I called and asked why. They told me that because I had the crown put in the same day, there was an in-house fee. I advised them that I had not clearly been told that. I called my insurance company and asked why there was this extra charge for a same day crown? They said that it was incorrect and that they should reimburse me for the difference. The insurance company then called Shrewsbury Dental while I was on hold. The insurance rep came back to me and said that I will get reimbursed and if not, wait a few days and check with them. I waited a week and when I called back, the receptionist said that she spoke with my insurance and that I would NOT be getting reimbursed. I said well, that is funny because he told me I would get my money back. The receptionist then said that it was fine and that I would get my money back but then the crown was no longer guaranteed! When I looked at the explanation of benefits on my dental insurance, it said that the filling was no wear near unstable as they said it was. (they had to take before and after pictures to send to the insurance) So, I did not even need the crown! I have chosen another practice to go to, and I feel that just being upfront and honest is the best way to run a practice and not try to scam people with hidden and unnecessary procedures. I would not go here if I were you. Oh, and I did get my money back for the extra charge but now have a crown I did not need or is guaranteed if something happens to it. . read more

After reading some of the reviews on here about trying to get patients to add multiple services out of pocket that probably aren't necessary I had to chime in. I've been to this office a few times for cleanings and other services and I hate the fact the front desk lady is asked to come in and try to upsell me on all kinds of shit I don't need. I think Dr. Fuller is a nice guy but I think this practice is owned by a company trying to squeeze as much profit as possible out of people for unnecessary services. I even recommended my parents come here and both were turned off when they came here for simple services and were approached to spend thousands of dollars on additional services. I steer clear of this practice now. It's truly a snake oil salesman dental practice. read more

I wouldn't recommend. Get a second and third opinion. I went in for a crown after a root canal, and he convinced me to get three more crowns and two root canals--most of which I likely didn't even need. I paid nearly $10K in 2019, and now, three crowns have failed, plus a re-infected root canal due to his work and I jave to pay $1300 to get this molar retreated. On top of that, he lied about the warranty--told me 20 years, but it was only 5. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. read more

Let me start by saying that my last tooth extraction wasn't exactly a walk in the park. It was such a difficult experience that I honestly think I would've preferred childbirth without anesthesia! So, you can imagine my anxiety heading into today's appointment for another extraction. I was a nervous wreck on the drive over--sweaty palms, heart racing, and ready to bolt. But then I met Dr. Robert Schroff. From the moment he stepped into the room, Dr. Schroff was kind, calm, and incredibly reassuring. He had just the right words to ease my fears. I even considered rescheduling, but after chatting with him, I felt like I was in safe hands--and I was 100% right. The extraction was over before I even knew it started--I didn't feel a thing! This was a far cry from my last experience with Dr. Fong. While Dr. Fong is certainly skilled, that extraction was much more intense, and I could feel every tug, pop, and crack. It wasn't easy, but I understand that not every extraction is going to be simple. Thank you, Dr. Schroff, for your gentle and caring approach. You turned what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and painless one. I'm actually feeling confident about future dental visits now--something I never thought I'd say! read more

Corporate dentistry at its worst They have a business model with no leadership. They just want to generate revenues and have no concern for the patent/customer. I am beyond mad. First Kelly tried to charge my daughter 130.00 for a cleaning - which she gets 2 a year covered 100% by insurance. Then she apparently decided to increase our fee by more than double for an implant and decided to charge that to my credit card without even telling me or getting my authorization. I called to get help and was told the manager was too busy to help me by Trinity. At this point I have no idea what I owe or what is being billed. I asked for a complete statement of everything done, billed and covered by the insurance. I got a pile of papers that have none of the information I need. HOWEVER, I did also finally get Dominique the manager on the phone and she was kind, knowledgeable and is working with me to figure out how to get things back on track. I very much appreciate her efforts! Aside from that my daughters loves and trusts her dentist and in the end it is all worth it. read more

I went here to get my wisdom teeth out. Surprisingly I was able to get an appointment the week that i called asking for a consultation. The staff were very nice and calming for a stressful situation. A couple days after the surgery I noticed that my pain kept getting worse. It was radiating up to my ears and my jaw felt like it had been broken. 6 days after my surgery, I went to visit the dentist again, as i assumed i had dry socket at this point. The doctor looked at me and confirmed that he did not see any signs of dry socket and prescribed me a second dose of opioids. Before leaving the room, his assistant asked me if i was ever given a syringe to clean my sockets in which i said no, she seemed surprised and gave me one. Before i left, the doctor said to give it a couple more days and if the pain doesn't get better, to come back in. 5 days later i go to see him again. At this point he confirmed he saw some infection in my sockets and cleaned them out, but did not confirm dry socket. I was then prescribed antibiotics and another opioid. Luckily i was able to schedule an appointment with the surgeon and see him in the upcoming days. I ended up having to go to the ER that night to get a CT scan to make sure my jaw looked okay (while getting prescribed morphine which finally took away the pain that i have been having for 11 days at that point, and got prescribed a 4th opioid. The next day I finally saw the surgeon, where he diagnosed me with double dry socket. While getting injected with at least 8 needles to numb my mouth, he proceeds to tell my mother that oral birth control increases the chances of getting dry socket, which was not disclosed to us before the surgery. He asked me if the dentist had numbed my mouth the last time he had cleaned my sockets (in which i said no) and he made a face as if that was a bad decision. I ended up being out of work from the 4th to the 22nd. Overall, i have never been in more pain in my entire life, the doctors did not give me the right information and materials to properly heal from this surgery. Again, the staff were extremely sweet but the main dentist should've been able to detect the early signs of my dry socket. read more

I had an unsettling experience here with the dentist, hygienist, and billing clerk providing unproven services or ones I did not need (like laser treatment of my gums) and demanding payment in advance. The goal of this practice was to unbundle services and bill my insurer and me for them. I will not return. read more

I was referred to this group for a root canal. Probably the most painful experience I've ever had at a dentist office. The local anesthetic, which usually is pain free at my regular dentist, stung so bad I nearly jumped out of my seat. The dentist was so sure that I was numb continued with the procedure. Ok, so he told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain. Well, apparently there wasn't enough anesthetic and I started screaming in pain. He then asked me if that hurt (did my screaming give it away?), then told me I needed to raise my hand if I was in pain! Umm, when someone is screaming THEY ARE IN PAIN!!! The staff was unwelcoming and had no personality. I also suffer from anxiety and fear of dentistry and would not accommodate my request for nitrous. As his dental assistant said "We don't use that for root canals (I've had nitrous for routine fillings). The dentist was very scripted and had a standard answer for every concern. He also had zero personality. The icing on the cake was when I checked out. The person at the reception desk said that'll be $462 which I already paid! They did leave me a voicemail stating they recognized their error. Still, not what I wanted hear after my painful procedure. read more

The hygienist, Angelica, is also fabulous and I look forward to my cleanings with her. I would give less than one star, Doctor is very Negligent and left one of my root canal untreated. Even after multiple visits over a period of one year for experiencing pain, doctor didn't even took an X-ray to identify the issue , Instead they falsely mentioned in my dental records that X-rays were not taken upon patient Request. I had to do re-do my root canal treatment with endodontist with additional costs and lost wages. I would recommend everyone to think twice before you decide to get your root canal treatments at this clinic. I would rather go to endodontist to get standard treatment of care. read more

This dentist office is the best I have visited and I have had a lot of work done on my teeth. They are extremely sensitive to the cost of the work they do. The dental assistant was so kind and supportive throughout my visit. I love that Dr Fuller will do as much as he can within one visit and that make a huge difference when your a busy person that does not have a lot of free time. I just moved here and when a filling cracked I figured I'd try this place so I didn't have to drive an hour back to my long time dentist. At first I loved the staff. I was very nervous. Dentists have always done that to me. So many bad experiences. But they seemed so kind and caring. I relaxed a little. I told them I was very uncomfortable. The tooth was bothering me. The Dentist said I needed a crown which I can't afford this month. They wouldn't patch the tooth for me and Insisted I needed to get the crown. So I had to walk out. Very uncomfortable and crying. I was very disappointed and upset that they wouldn't help me w the pain. I guess if you don't spend the money for a higher priced procedure they don't care about you. I went back to my old dentist today where she patched my tooth and relieved my pain. I made an appointment in 2 months to get a crown. This gives me time to save up the money. I will never go to shrewsbury dentistry again! read more

RUN..anywhere else. Don't let them fool you like they did me. I ended up here because the dentist I had been seeing was away at a time I needed to urgently see a dentist. I continued to go back because it felt clean, polished, etc. In hindsight, worst decision ever to continue to go back. Not only is the dentist actually quite strange because he comes across as indecisive and awkward in a way I can't even begin to explain, but I was convinced into multiple costly procedures that I didn't actually need. It only started clicking when I sat in the waiting room one time and heard the staff handling multiple customers trying to defend the same exact costly treatment I never really knew was a thing until I had already shelled out a thousand dollars because "I needed to do this" before I even thought of doing the two root canals and subsequent crowns they told me was required. I eventually went back to my original dentist who did 15 minutes worth of work, charged me next to nothing, and saved me from having two root canals and crowns I was told I needed (with x-ray done to prove it). NEVER again. I'm fuming over the wasted money I have spent here. read more

Disappointed! Worst experience ever! I will never recommend this place to anyone. I waited 7 months to receive my dentures. I finally was able to be seen on January 18th, but I had to go back 2 weeks later because I was in pain and it hurt so bad. The dental assistant, Angelyn, put super glue in my mouth. At first I didn't know what to think during this appointment, all I wanted was to be seen and to be given relief from the pain. 10 days after this, the dentist had to break the denture for it to be removed. I still tried to book another appointment to try and fix my mouth, but this office is so stressful and I couldn't stand the constant back and forth. Emotionally, this experience was tolling and I couldn't take anymore.  Enough is enough. To this day, I have only been reimbursed $1300 that I paid. Thankfully insurance covered the amount of $1700 total of $ 3000 only for dentures plus the services was about $ 5000, They not even answer the phone now Even though, the manager Jack continues to tell me that they are sending a reimbursement check by mail since april 4th NOT YET. I want my money back for this awful experience. Today is May 11 th and I have yet to receive the reimbursement check "by mail" that Jack has promised. My name  is Maria Barreto. Update: Forgot to mention that I really didn't want to post this because I truly enjoyed going here. Dr was always respectful & kind. Was a patient here. I will start with the positives: Very clean office! Friendly staff overall. Front desk not consistent but generally seem to be knowledgeable. When we first started with this office we were extremely impressed that most visits we left without issues. Then had a problem with a molar-said I needed a root canal. Interesting no issues to suddenly needing oral surgery. Completed the work-ongoing issues with the crown. Now 2 yrs later after seeing a "specialist" lost the tooth. Exact same thing happened on the other side. No major concerns-then a root canal. Same exact thing-non-stop issues this time with the root & the crown. Many follow up visits to care for it. No charge for the follow up & retreat but why so many problems? Now here I am-again another molar possibly lost. Point-general dentist-sure! Root canals-save yourself time, money & stress by seeing a specialist "Endodontist " Office. read more

Horrible Business Model! It starts with a phone call confirmation that comes from Dighton, MA. If you don't respond to the call they will cancel your appointment. Then you walk in, and they have you do the usual sign legal document after legal documet, even though you have done this previously. Then they require you to get an xray if you decline it they will shame you for it and bring it up multiple times during your visit. Next their offices are filled with periodontal disease pictures which seems to be the only thing they care about. My first two appointments they will measure the distance from my gums to my teeth and then give you a whole routine about how they can fix it, and it will cost you $1500+ out of pocket (I have good dental insurance). If you say not to it you have to sign something to say you don't want the procedure they told me it was for legal reasons. Today I just said what happens if I don't sign, they told me they won't clean my teeth. So I left, and I'm going to a dentist office who puts the patient experience first. I left out all the up charges Fluroide $40 cancer prescreen $35. They have you in their dentist chair with an expert telling you how important this is, and then making you feel terrible if you say no. Stay away unless you like feeling like a walking wallet. read more

I had a really good experience because great stuff at this office. I am terrified of all medical procedures and dental appointments are very stressful for me. Rafaela helped me go though all the procedures explaining everything and taking time to make sure I'm comfortable. She is very nice and helpful, I will definitely come back and I hope she will be there to help me next time . I had a broken tooth and Dr. Fuller did a great job with extraction few months back. I had a dental emergency and found Shrewsbury Dentistry through reviews online. I'm generally really nervous at the dentist, but everyone from Andrew who answered the phone when I called, to Dental Assistant Angelique (sp?) who is one the kindest people ever ever met, to Dr Fuller himself, were so caring and reassuring that they immediately put me at ease. Dr. Fuller had to extract a tooth and I never felt even a moment of pain, through the numbing process and the surgery itself. Beyond the extraordinary medical care, they also do a wonderful job of walking you through the procedure, the costs (both insurance and out of pocket), at home flow up care, etc. The office was extremely clean and the steps they take to keep it that way are evident throughout the facility. New to shrewsbury and needed a closer dentist than my older one. Went in for a crown that I knew I needed. It was quick and easy, they make the crowns right in the office. An hour after I arrived I was leaving with a new crown. Procedure was completely painless, staff was great and they were very transparent with billing including what my out of pocket portion was. This was probably one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. The appointment was very easy to make, I could fill out the medical history sheet before coming in to save time. There are TVs on the dental chairs, they make their own crowns in house (!!!!). Everyone was incredibly nice and they actually talked me through what was happening and looked at my xrays with me so I knew what needed to be worked on. They managed to fit in 4 filings on top of my cleaning and xrays so I didn't have to come in for multiple appointments. It was a very good experience. read more

Shrewbury Dentistry is beautiful and modern. They use all the newest technology and can even do crowns while you wait. Dr.Fuller is a great communicator and is really skilled(no pain or discomfort). Absolutely great experience. Had an emergency tooth situation that occurred in the most inopportune time while traveling post-holiday and by the time I was able to call around to find an available dentist, I was in incredible pain. In my search I discovered that Shrewsbury Dentistry keeps blocks open in their dentists' schedules for emergency situations and I was easily able to get into see a dentist within a couple hours after calling. It felt like a life-saver. So impressed!! I saw Dr. Shawn Fuller, who was excellent. He walked through all my options and we ended up with a plan I was very happy with. He made sure the process was pain free; very concerned that the novacaine kicked in fully which I appreciated greatly. He didn't try to rush through everything before making sure I was comfortable. He was knowledgeable, had excellent bedside manner (let's be honest can be a rare thing & hard to find), and performed the procedure efficiently. I was done and pain free again just 1.5hrs after arriving. Besides the dentist, I was impressed with the rest of the staff, from admins to hygienists, who were all extremely friendly, empathetic, efficient, and very helpful with all the paperwork. I'm so happy to be pain free after a terrible 48hrs that I could cry! Shrewsbury Dentistry & Dr. Fuller will absoutely be my preferred practice to go to for all of my future cleanings and exams! read more

As someone who generally hates going to the dentist, I'm so glad I found this place. I came in without insurance, with a broken and infected tooth that was causing me severe pain. In a little over an hour I had x-rays done, worked out a treatment plan, and experienced the least painful tooth extraction of my life. On top of that, their My Smile dental plan saved me a bunch of money on my procedure! Will definitely return for all my dental needs. read more

I'm from out of town and had a painful toothache from a dental procedure 2 weeks prior and needed to get into a dentist ASAP. Dr. Fuller fit me into his schedule same day. He was incredibly nice and really makes you feel welcome right away. He quickly identified the problem and helped me with my pain management which helped tremendously. I couldn't be more grateful for his help. The office is very nice, modern, immaculate, and all of the staff were helpful and welcoming as well. The NEW Operations Manger as no reason to be in the customer service role. Our experience there after being a patient for years was dreadful. Our appointment for cleaning was cancelled on the spot when we refused to accept additional "required" service procedures that were added on to our cleaning. "If you don't agree to the additional periodontal procedure then we won't do your cleaning. " Dentist was not available(vacation) even though we set the appointment to ensure he would be there working and do our typical exam after cleaning. Overbearing new ops manager was rude, unprofessional and would not listen to reason and why the additional services were inappropriate for us , due to complication suffers in prior attempts with the "required procedure"....not the RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE. In my opinion patients should preempt this likely experience in their future and move to a different dentist office that treats patients as individuals and not a commodity to be processed for all the $ they can get without regard to the individual. If it was my business, I would never keep this type of "new employee" and NEVER put him in any position of authority or the capcity to make independent decisions. read more
