Always efficient and pleasant. A very well run practice. Of course, excellent, high quality dental…read morework.

I was happy to find this office based on reviews, I chose Dr. Shanon…read more the second appointment I went for a crown and she tried to tell me that my tooth there is something wrong with it, you have to pull it off and you need an implant, she immidiately suggested her husband office westboroug or northborogh now I dont rememeber. I insisted for Dr. Shustack to see me for a second opinion and then that instant she said lets wait for 10 days and see if it gets better , I went to see dr. Shustack for the second opinion and he was not even there, it was her and guess what.. My tooth was perfectly fine, her coment, oh wowww this never happened before. so guess what now I have my crown. i am sure this pissed her off that she kicked my husband off the office because of 3 non show, which for 2 of them I called in advance, and for the last one We had a family emergency and I couldn't call. that was enough for us to receive a letter home telling us that my husband was kicked out, she knew very well that I was going to leave too if the husband is kicked out. they did not send us a prior letter to let us know hey if there is another non show you no longer can be our clients. They immidieately sent the letter that he is not part of that office anymore. Despite my phone calls and emails I sent to the office nothing changed. They also made a discriminatorty decision, as my husband is a truck driver and he needs to find someone to fit his schedule. I still have the secretary voice mail. I sent an email to dr. Shustack office explaining everything and no response at all, not even a phone call from Dr. Shustack. Nothing. I have been with my prior dentist for 10 years and bnever had an issue. this was the worse experience ever and the worse dentist ever. Be aware of her. Very disapponted and very unfairly tretated, very discriminatory.

Highland Dental. 64 Highland St., Worcester, MA Love it!!!…read more Dentist that worked on me; Dr. Adam Darvish I finally found a honest dentist!! Feeling awful, pain in tooth and gum. Calling dentists, all scared 'what-ifing' too much. A few dentists I contacted were rude, kind of heartless. I kept calling different dentists and searching on the internet trying to find someone that twill check my teeth 'today'. I decided to try Highland Dental after the receptionist on the phone seemed nice, respectful, caring. The dentist (a very young man, looked to be straight out of college) allowed me to walk in and get a x-ray. Only had to wait about 10 minutes. He discovered that it is sinus congestion and 'middle age lady' hot flashes causing the pain. I have noticed that the pain rarely occurs when not having a hot flash. And it travels to different teeth, but mainly on upper left side. Could not be sure if it was the tooth or the gum causing pain. This young man knows more about a lady's circulation, nervous system than many older doctors, and myself. He described how the blood flow... during a hot flash moves through the body, head... (I have heard that the nervous system and energy flow is also involved.) The dentist described how the sinus nerve is near that upper tooth nerve which has a filling. The filling is ok. No cavity. There is also a missing tooth (pulled in past) beside it and I suspect that chewing on the gum irritates the condition/nerve. The skin on gum is torn a bit. Dentist said the missing tooth can affect the nerve position 'or something like that, doctor/technical stuff explained'. But; its harmless. Such a relief to know what's going on. Now can relax. Been feeling sickish lately, and the fear of on and off what I thought was a cavity aggravated the sick feeling. Since the airport opened in Worcester, MA; sinus problems occur. I knew I had sinus for months, but kept brushing it off. The xray revealed it. I had this condition in the past in this city. Strangest air. (and water) Clears up when stay in a different location of Massachusetts; by Ocean, Boston or Spencer, Brookfield... I moved to Worcester years ago to be near my Mom and Auntie, entire family. Mom has gone to heaven as of last year. Auntie doing fine. Maybe will move permanently back to South Boston or Hampton NH. Ocean air! Salt water. I used a 'relaxation technique' to calm down and get into the dentist chair. (Which is hard most times due to neck injury 'caused by a corrupt chiropractor'). This dentist was very kind, understanding, allowed me to sit pretty much upright so my neck would not stiffen up, I would not get dizzy. My faith in doctors has returned. He is so nice! No arrogant, no egos. Just a real human being out there working for humanity. He did not try to sell me unnecessary things (such as mouth guards, antibiotics.... Root canals...) This is a honest dentist! There ARE good guys/ladies out there. Building has a handicapped ramp and office is on 1st floor. Entire atmosphere is conductive to relaxation and quickly solving the patient's condition. Took my insurance! Humana! No bill! I was ready to pay with MasterCard when I did not notice Humana on their online list. If you are not sure if they take your insurance; they may; so walk in. They also have online Internet forms; I was able to fill and print out at my home. This saved time in the office. 2 dentists from a different area of Worcester were going to use my credit card to pay for x-ray, filings... Highland Dental saved me a lot of money! Insurance paid entirely! UPDATE: Dentist again helped. I did more investigation and found out our building has toxic chemicals... Doctor advised moving. I got a new place to live. UPDATE - Aug-Sept 2017; That same tooth; I wish Highland would have refilled the old filling. They just said "they will keep a eye on it". I knew that was not a good decision. This year same tooth hurt and I got very ill. Not sure if was from the old filling or sinus problems living on Main str where there is a lot of air pollution... Went to a new dentist and he said he was concerned about the tooth. He took the old filling out and new in. Filled other small cavities. (See my other reviews for new dentist). I am better, but still get somewhat sick sometimes. So it cant be the tooth. Or the infection takes a while to heal. Lost sense of smell. Must be the air in this city, or my neighbor who smokes a lot of 'strange things'. Windows are closed in winter so wont get that smoke for 4 months. I suspect using Mass health, Medicare with Highland prevented him from doing full x-ray and filling the tooth. When I went to the new dentist in 2017; I paid with a credit card. This resulted in all teeth xrayed and new camera technology.., all fillings fixed. Thank you.
