Upon inspection by me one of the plastic pins that holds the dishwasher in place was missing and I found it broken on the floor. We didn't even use the dishwasher from June-August as we live out of state in the summer. I called Slyman and after (3) months of horrible lack of communication with Brittany was told it would be $150 upfront for them to come out and repair the installation. They only covered the install for 30 days. DO NOT USE SLYMAN if you value good service and your hard earned money.

HVAC! SOMEBODY STOP ME! Well, lighting fixtures are right up there with things that are exciting as hell when you're designing a home. Metro Lighting came through for us, specifically Joni. I was after two things: a dining room light fixture, and a kitchen light fixture. After browsing the showroom, I found a light for the dining room that I absolutely loved, and thought would go perfect in our space. You can imagine how crushed I was when I learned it was on backorder for a long time. Joni told me she'd check with the purchasing team to see if I could have the display, and to call back the next day. I did call the next day with all of the hope in the world, but unfortunately she was given a big fat "no". I asked about another lighting fixture for the kitchen, and started to make peace with the fact that I couldn't have that amazing light for the dining room. (See the photo! It really is that good.) I got a call back a few hours later with the status of the second light fixture, as well as the BEST NEWS EVER that I was able to buy that display light! I cannot explain how much I appreciated her hard work and convincing, and can't wait to hang both lights in our newly purchased home. This truly was customer service at its best. We will absolutely be back whenever we need something else, and I look forward to another great experience.

The top doors were finally replaced, but the bottom door was shipped damaged, the installer told me. I have since been given 2 different replacement dates, and TWICE they have not come. When I go inside the store to inquire, I feel as though I am being pushed off to someone else, and none of the employees know what's going on can get the job finished for me. They are always very busy eating at their desks. I will never shop at Appliance Discounters, and I have not had any accountability from the sales team. I was/am so disappointed with the Deer Creek store employees. There is no excuse for the lack of communication and effort to right a wrong that the delivery team caused.

We needed a new dryer after our 10-year-old one started making squeaking noises. After comparing…read moreprices, we purchased a Maytag 27-inch gas Smart Dryer from St. Louis Appliance Outlet. The list price was $1,124, but SLAO had it for $497. At the time, Best Buy and Home Depot were advertising the same model for around $899, so the savings were substantial. SLAO is a scratch-and-dent appliance store, which we understood. They do not deliver or install appliances themselves, but they arrange it through a third-party service. The cost was $100 cash, which included delivery, installation, and removal of the old dryer. I thought that was reasonable. The dryer was delivered the next day. David, the delivery manager, communicated the delivery window and provided contact information if I had questions. Omar and his helper arrived promptly and installed the dryer. Unfortunately, the first dryer had several issues. It was set to Spanish, three functions did not work, and there was no heat. I was concerned that I had made a bad purchase. To SLAO's credit, they responded quickly. Their technician, Ken, arrived shortly after the delivery crew left. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fixed the language issue and the no-heat problem. The problem turned out to be a connection that had not been completed. He later returned with a replacement control board, but it was not the correct version for that model, so the dryer had to be replaced. I went back to SLAO and selected another dryer at the same price. It had only minor cosmetic imperfections, and I decided that choosing a simpler model without the smart features might actually reduce the chances of future electronic problems. They also agreed to switch the door hinge at no charge because of the inconvenience with the first dryer. The replacement delivery took longer than expected, and communication with the delivery driver could have been better. However, the second dryer was delivered, installed, and the defective one was removed. After several loads of laundry, the replacement dryer is working properly, and I was able to register it for Maytag's one-year warranty. Overall, I am satisfied with St. Louis Appliance Outlet. The price was excellent, and although the first appliance had problems, they stood behind the purchase and made sure I received a working dryer.

We were very disappointed in the service we received. We started around November, of last year,…read morewith measurements, of our kitchen cabinets. About a week later, Laurie e-mailed us and said Jeff 's Dad needed to come out, and take a few more measurements. Then about a week later, they needed to do more measurements. When Jeff first came to look at our kitchen, he made it look, and sound like, the refacing of our cupboards would be a normal job.He gave us no reason to think the job was going to be complicated. Then a week or two later, he told us that our cupboards, were odd sizes, and he recommended we replace the top cabinets with new ones. He said 12 in. are the standard sizes, so that's what we went with. The cabinets came in, and the refacing cabinets arrived, and sat in my dining room for several weeks. Jeff's excuse was, " This is a more complicated job", He would come on a Sunday, and not come back for 7-14 days, leaving our house in shambles. We let them know we were concerned about how long the job was taking, Jeff's answer, " The job is more complicated." This was his excuse all the way through the project. We asked why he didn't finish the job in 3-4 days, like he told us in the beginning, his answer was the same. He finally said the job was done, and we came home to a door still off, where the garbage cans would go, tile still off the wall, that he said he would fix, and pin holes in the crown molding, that he didn't bother to cover up. Mind you, he asked us to please leave the payment on the shelf that day. In the meantime, the cabinets he put up, left about a 3-4 inch part of the wall, uncovered, where there is old wall paper etc. He made no mention of how we were to fix this area on the walls, in front of two cupboards. There was crown molding not cut right, looked jagged. We had to repeatedly ask him about these problems. It is now February 14th, and he just came back out, to supposedly fix the pin holes, in the crown molding. You can still see the pin holes. The cabinets look nice but the job was not anything like we expected. We feel Jeff should have noticed that the 12 inch cabinets were too small and suggested 14 inch. He never told us ,that there would be an area in front of the cabinets, that would be bare. He replaced a couple of tile very sloppily, I could have done a better job. This job started out being quoted to us at around 6,000 dollars. It ended up costing us almost 10,000 dollars. We also asked Jeff why, if we had brand new cabinets up on top, why didn't he just suggest we get completed cabinets to save time and money. He said to me that you wanted the refacing done because of the granite countertops. That is true, initially, but when the plan changed, he went ahead, and just refaced new cabinets, which cost us alot more. Then, when my partner asked him again about just putting up new cabinets, he said the company he works with only makes doors.... We've had drawers and our cupboards emptied since December. The whole house was a total disaster. Very disappointed.
