They told me that the MSRP was $3100 and that I was getting a discount of almost $500. Well, I had researched the price of this microwave before looking at local appliance stores. The MSRP was $2599 on the Jenn-Air website. Of course, since it was a discontinued model, it was no longer available. The floor model at Kees had a price tag of $2599 when I looked at it. When I called today for a price, they gave me the above quote of $2650. So Kees wanted $50 more than the MSRP on a discontinued floor model microwave. I would be very wary of making any purchases from this store. I find their business practice to be unethical.

They also don't charge for electrical cords, vents, and disposal of the old appliance etc. as many of the big stores do. They delivered my dryer the day after I bought it. The guys that delivered and set it up were very good, pleasant and efficient. The last time I bought an appliance from a big box store, the man who delivered it gave me a hard time because he had to switch the door of the washer from the right to the left which the store knew it needed to do. Both store managers would not do an official complaint. I've been there twice the employee that…read morewould not even acknowledge me is still working there. Apple support set up my appointment for my iPhone 16 Pro Max less than a year old to have a system analysis. The two main issues are my battery not keeping a charge and my volume getting lower and lower as I use it. In less than two seconds, she said there's nothing wrong with my battery and then she looks at me says I can't do anything about the volume. She claimed that the only thing I can do is a factory reset. I said I don't want a factory reset cause it erase everything she had me open up the phone. She said you have iCloud don't worry about it. She did not say hey let me back it up. Or would you like to back it up now? At first she said it was gonna take 10 minutes after those 10 minutes turned into over an hour and then when she finally handed me the phone, my phone was is locked. The passcode that I've always been using for years was not working. She handed me a piece of paper with Apple support number again and walked away. I could not open my phone I could not open my phone so I asked the young man that was there with her. I said I need to speak with a manager please. He said no no no no don't worry about it. I will unlock the phone. He finally unlock the phone. Everything was wiped clean my contacts my photos, my notes. Literally everything to include my iCloud storage completely wiped clean. I went back to the store within 24 hours. The same person whose name I believe is Janice or Elise. She has long black hair, Caucasian lady who looks like her life is miserable. She was back at the geek squad desk? I asked to speak with a the store manager she's playing games. What do you mean manager? I said I need to speak with a store manager please. And kept asking me what do you mean tech-support manager, appliance's manager I do t understand. I told her the manager who's over the store. The store manager please. Finally, I noticed who she was talking to because I was standing in the front of the store and I noticed there's a gentleman on his mic while she's on the mic so I figured out that he was the manager. I asked him if there's a place that we can speak about this manner in private he said no. I explained to him my situation. He says well there's nothing that I can do here. I'm gonna contact the office in Fayetteville. They have they are much knowledgeable than I am. I will call you back this week Monday at the latest. I never got a call back so I went back to the store today. I spoke with another store the same chick was at the geek squad desk playing games again what do you mean manager? I said I need to speak with the store manager the person who's over everybody here. I finally spoke with him and told him exactly what had happened. His first name is Edward said I'm gonna look into this sorry this happened. I am going to go ahead and do some investigating and see if there's anything that I can assist you with. I've been in and out of meetings all day long when he finally left me a message. He asked me did I back everything up and I told him I said why you asking me if I packed anything up when the complaint is about the fact that my phone was factory reset and erased everything I was not offered the opportunity to back anything up. He told me to go ahead and call the corporate office. The corporate office is telling me that I needed to file the official complaint at the actual store where happened and they needed to escalate the issue. This was never offered to me after calling corporate several times and explain to them what had happened. Same thing you need to start with the store bottom line that chick is still working at the store playing games with customers being rude no repercussion nothing was done as if I was just nobody and who cares if everything was white clean here it is over a week ago if anything was able to be done it should've been done within the 24 hours that I was there. I would not recommend Best Buy in Aberdeen to anybody. Customer service is absolutely horrible and management would not do the proper thing and let me file an official complaint in writing. I will be making sure to put this on every social media platform that I use because this should not happen the way the elderly lady in front of me was treated should've never happened. We purchased a full set of kitchen appliances from the Appliance Center for our new home almost…read morethree years ago. The advice and guidance we received was excellent, and the depth of knowledge Mike Ovenden brought to the decision making was very impressive. Since then we have had a problem with only one appliance, made by Electrolux, which self-destructed on its first clean. Electrolux was completely uncooperative. It turns out the problem is a familiar one (check online) and so common that there are *no replacement parts* available for the problem, period. Mike had no more success than we did. But Mike and The Appliance Center DID work hard to make things right for us, which involved replacing the oven with one made by another manufacturer, at a hugely discounted price. We are glad to be rid of Electrolux and so very pleased to be working with the Appliance Center and Mike Ovenden.

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: I posted the below two months ago -- and would like to update it based…read moreon a response by the long-time owner of the Appliance Center, Mr. Stewart, who appears to be trying to hand over the business to others. A few weeks ago, Mr. Stewart left a very nice message on my voicemail apologizing for what we went through after only now having learned about it (perhaps from this review). He immediately offered to pick up the old hood and refund the money we spent on it. I have since had another very nice conversation with him, and he has picked up the hood. It is clear that this is not how he wants his business to run. We are building a custom home and were instructed by our contractor to work with The Appliance Center to get all appliances. So we did -- and deeply regret it. This is not true of most of the vendors we worked with - we had many very positive experiences. But The Appliance Center stands out as the worst. The most illustrative of our negative experience was around a kitchen island hood -- we made very clear from the beginning that we needed a hood that would accommodate my height (6'2") and were assured the hood they recommended would be no problem. When installed, sharp edges were exactly at eye level -- and we were told it could not be moved higher. I asked whether they would take it back and swap it out for one that works and was told they would not -- we were now stuck paying thousands of dollars for a hood we could not use. No apology, no sense of accountability and no effort to make it right. They then proposed 4 other hoods I could buy from them. At this point I was appropriately skeptical - and so I learned how to read the spec sheets. It turns out that each of the 4 hoods they now proposed would have created exactly the same problem. When I pointed this out, they agreed and admitted they had misread the spec sheets (just as they had with the first hood) and, for the first time, used the word "apologize". But had I just ordered one of their replacements, I am sure they would have made me pay for that one too. I was then literally left to fend for myself and find a hood that would work - they seemed uninterested in helping further, all this after close to $50,000 of payments for everything we had ordered from them for a fairly large house. I would recommend staying clear of people who conduct business this way. (Before posting this review, I shared it with Michael, the Appliance Center person we worked with, and asked if what I describe was accurate. He had no corrections to make - and nothing to add.)
