She stayed in regular contact with me over phone and text, during a busy holiday season nonetheless. It has never been so easy to communicate with a medical practice. Also, when I called to schedule the appointment, they were able to accommodate us much sooner by squeezing us into a morning time slot. The wait has never been long and the hygienists did as best a job they could with an uncooperative child. Please keep up the great work Elizabeth and the rest of the practice!

They gave me a treatment plan for one. We filled about 4 cavities while we were there and the treatment plan showed 2 more and another 4 on the "watch" list. I decided to get a second opinion. By the time I saw a new dentist (about 6-8 months after) almost all my children's sealants had fallen out; a cavity filling had fallen out and a repair had fallen off (part of what triggered the new dentist was the filling and the repair falling off, didn't know about sealants on both kids falling off until they were checked) Long story short; everything is repaired and redone. But the interesting part: NO CAVITIES!!!!! Yep. They are diagnosing and filling cavities that aren't there. I have confirmed this with TWO dentists in this area since we left. TWO DENTISTS confirmed he had NONE. I don't know if he ever had ANY. This place is TERRIBLE and anyone going who has a extensive treatment plan and you think maybe just a "bad brusher", get a second opinion! This is WRONG! BEWARE!

When I finally saw Dr. Patel, he explained that because we had waited so long and because our baby was more mobile and stronger, our options were not as simple and I felt like I was between a rock and a hard place. I was disappointed in myself for days. His office called and asked what I had decided, so I admitted being uncomfortable moving forward with either option. Dr. Patel, having discerned my baby's gentle temperment at our initial consultation, agreed to give us a chance to try the simple procedure that is traditionally suited for newborns with the agreement that if it wasn't going well, we'd call it quits. He was sympathetic to our situation, informative, patient and professional. We all breathed a sigh of relief when the procedure was over and rejoiced that it went so smoothly. He didn't have to do that. Most dentists wouldn't have touched our situation with a ten foot pole. Because Dr. Patel was respectful (and frankly selfless), we were able to address our baby's tongue tie prior to the onset of speech and avoid anesthesia. It was a unique situation handled very well. And, to boot, my four year old can't WAIT to have his teeth cleaned again. He LOVES it here.

First, Dr. Khurana and her team developed and implemented a treatment plan for my 4 year old son who needed extensive dental work. We probably consulted with five dentists and she was the only one that offered a plan we felt comfortable with. She talked us through everything before and after the procedure which took place in a hospital setting under anesthesia, making us feel like our son was extremely well cared for in this unsettling situation. Their hospital coordinator Britnee was also fantastic to work with and helped answer numerous questions we had. Separately, Dr Nirali and her assistant Jordan have performed two fillings for my seven year old daughter. They are so incredibly good with kids and skilled at what they do that my daughter actually said getting fillings there was FUN and she didn't experience any pain on either occasion. When I told her she would be all done fillings after the second visit she was DISAPPOINTED. That is not a thing! I really can't say enough good things about this dental practice. If you have kids, and especially if they are apprehensive about dental procedures, take them here.

My middle son was also referred to Sporting Smiles for braces. Dr. Vahab, and the staff provided excellent care, over the course of two years, and we are super pleased with his straight teeth and dazzling smile. I visited for the first time today and felt very welcomed from my first phone call to schedule the appointment to my last moment in the office. To Kerry and Dr. Cheron, I described a complex problem caused by use of an oral sleep apnea appliance, and I felt that everyone I interacted with took the time to understand the background. I don't know yet whether I'll need braces to correct my misalignment, but I feel confident that Dr. Cheron and her staff will guide me in the right direction if I do need a round of orthodontia.

They're really good at sending reminders for appointments and assisting with setting up appointments. Their wait times are very minimal. I've never gone there and waited longer than 5 minutes to be called. As for the staff in the back, they're angels. Their dental assistants are so patient and gentle. My son isn't very fond of the dentist and it takes a little longer than usual for a simple cleaning....usually if the assistant is having issues with the cleaning the dentist steps in and helps. They're literal angels and definitely know how to deal with children. Recently we went in for a quick cleaning and of course he was giving some push back. Our dentist was amazing! She was able to calm him down and gain his trust. I am very pleased with their services and bed side manners. Even though I've moved from the Burke area I will continue to make the drive here. I've been recommending this location to friends I have in the area. If you prefer fluoride or no fluoride to be used for the cleaning they are very respectful with your choices and will always tailor to the needs of your child. This review reflects my personal experience only, but I feel it's important to share. I went in for…read morea simple routine cleaning with no pain or symptoms. I expected a normal appointment, but I was told I needed deep cleaning, four fillings, and even molar extractions. At checkout, I was suddenly informed that the practice was out-of-network, even though the person who booked my appointment had checked my insurance. This should have been disclosed upfront. I cancelled future appointments because of this. A couple weeks later I felt food getting stuck in one tooth, so I asked for my exam notes and X-rays so I could see an in-network provider. I only received the X-rays -- no clinical exam notes -- which meant I couldn't take that information to another dentist. This made me feel stuck and forced to return. On November 12, I went back for what I believed were simple fillings that I was quoted around $260 for when making an appointment. After I was already numbed and lying in the dental chair under anesthesia, the dentist told me out of nowhere that I now "needed a crown" instead. The billing staff then told me the cost would be around $1,900. I was shocked and confused, especially because I could barely speak clearly due to the anesthesia. When I questioned it, instead of explaining anything medically, I was repeatedly told about payment plans. I sent the billing staff back THREE separate times asking for clarification, but each time I felt more and more pressured. At one point, I was told that because the holidays were coming, the office would be closed for two weeks -- and if I didn't get the crown right now, I might end up with an emergency. Hearing that while numb, unable to fully process, and already anxious made me feel scared and trapped. I did not feel like I was given a real choice in that moment. I ultimately agreed because I was frightened and overwhelmed, not because I was comfortable with the treatment plan. Only after getting off the chair did I notice more concerning things -- the discount I was told about was not honored, the charges were confusing, and none of the explanations made sense. I left the office feeling taken advantage of during a time when I was vulnerable and unable to advocate for myself fully. No patient should ever feel pressured into a costly procedure while under anesthesia. I hope this office truly reevaluates how they communicate, disclose costs, and treat patients who simply want honest information and options.

I had a very disappointing experience with Stone Springs Family Dentistry in Aldie…read more I went in for two crowns, and the dentist, Dr. Grossman, was very rough during the procedures. It made what should have been a routine experience unnecessarily uncomfortable and stressful. On top of that, I was referred out for a root canal to an out-of-network specialist without that being clearly communicated to me. This ended up costing me significantly more than expected. Because of this referral, I quickly exhausted my insurance benefits and was left paying much higher out-of-pocket costs. To make matters worse, when I raised concerns about this, the office was not willing to take responsibility or work toward a resolution. I was still charged an additional $647, which they would not waive despite the circumstances. Overall, this experience was frustrating both from a care standpoint and a financial transparency standpoint. I would strongly encourage others to ask detailed questions about referrals and insurance coverage before proceeding here.
