My dentist recommended Legacy Orthodontics for my daughter and I can see why. My daughter is a very anxious patient when it comes to the dentist and doctors. I have had experiences in the past with doctors who are not so accommodating or understanding of my daughters medical anxiety. I recently completed my treatment plan at Legacy Orthodontics and wanted to leave a review for their business. I waited until my treatment plan was done so I could give a full and complete review of the entire experience. A lot of places will treat you great until that contract is signed and then things get bumpy. Or it's great until there's an issue and then the wheels come off the bus. That was not the case with Legacy. I visited Legacy after going to "another" big name major provider of Invisalign in Northern Virginia. I was little put off by their whole office "vibe" and I didn't like the treatment plan they set up for me. It involved a number of extractions and products that I wasn't sure were right for me. Now, I had some complex things going on with my teeth and I was looking for a treatment plan that was going to preserve as much of my natural teeth as possible. Dr. Lombard and his staff knocked it out of the park, consistently, at every appointment. Dr. Lombard is extremely skilled at what he does and he also takes pride in his work, and has a sense of responsibility when it comes to treating you as a patient. I left every office visit with confidence that I was going to end up with great results. Dr. Lombard and his staff treat you like a family member when you are in their office. They are very accommodating and dare I say it..fun? I don't know if you can have fun in a dental chair, but if you can, it's here. When they have to refer out work to an oral surgeon or a dentist the referrals are top notch. I had to have one tooth extracted and my wife (who was previously a dental assistant) said the referred surgeon was amazing. If you are thinking of getting orthodontic work for you or a significant other, or your children, you need to stop by this office before making your final decision. They were my second stop and I'm glad I ended up there. The results are amazing, and the cost is competitive/inline with other offices. They are very flexible when it comes to working with FSA plans. One of my sons has substantial ortho needs and I'm completely confident in Dr. Lombard's plan. Yes, orthodontia is expensive. But truly, for the frequency we visit, the thoroughness of the staff and the cost of the appliances themselves, I feel like we're getting a very fair price (and a sibling discount!). Several months ago, we started our search for an orthodontist for our daughter. He is patient, kind, and truly a caring individual! He not only has worked with us financially but, above all else, he is extremely courteous and friendly to our daughter, making her always feel welcomed and reassured. In this case, a HUGE shout out goes to Dr. Lombard for staying committed to ensuring that my daughter feels confident, not only about her smile, but also about herself. He is always friendly and makes time to talk with her about things that interest her.They share a love of animals, so that helps. LOL. It is fun to watch him in his practice as he goes from patient to patient with great enthusiasm and expertise. His genuine love for his patients extends to others in the community, as he supports local schools, and even shared his office PPE supplies to other healthcare workers during the Covid pandemic. I would also like to add that his offfice has been very good about following CDC guidelines while also making the appointment process for appointments easy and safe for everyone. Even when his offcie closed during our state mandated shutdown, his office was staffed to answer calls. The transition to this "new" normal has been seamless, so I applaud his office staff also.
