They specialize in a very expensive hair straightener treatment called keratin, " a Brazilian blowout". It's great if that's what you want. Problem is keratin treatment is very toxic and smells terrible. So if you are just going there for a cut or other non toxic procedure I would not recommend it. Unless you like to pay top dollar to sit in a toxic chemical cloud eyes burning type situation. I get an instant migraine there! read more

The hair wash sink doubled as a massage chair, which I has never experienced. Curly girl here! I've avoided going to the salon like no other due to so may bad experiences of people damaging my hair and being overwhelmed with styling it. I've been thinking about changing my hair color for a long time and stumbled upon Fernanda's salon. I scheduled a test run appointment to get a hair cut, olaplex and a blow out with plans to get color down the road depending on how I felt. I immediately felt comfortable as soon as I got in the salon; Yasmin was so welcoming and talked through everything I wanted. She let me know she was well versed working with my hair texture. After a 5 minute consult, I was ready to go blonde and color my hair for very the first time! I felt like a queen with chocolate covered strawberries, a full body massage shampoo chair and friendly faces who are especially detail oriented. My curls were so happy with all the recommended treatments and looked healthier than they did before the bleach. Even after blow drying at the salon, my curls instant bounced back with my first wash. They are scammers!!!!! They charged me over $700 dollars when I booked partial highlights and kept trying to upsell me. She bleached my whole head without asking and then said I needed to weekly book olaplex or my hair would break. She tried to push a $1000 dollar "special bleach" dye on me too! Fernanda quoted me some options and I made an appointment for the next day to decide overnight what option I was going to go with. I decided to do the most expensive option and I am very glad I did. Fernanda was able to keep the full integrity of my hair while achieving an insane amount of lift in color. I was SO happy with the results. I've been to Fernanda's twice now and have had two fantastic experiences with Luiza! I have very dry, curly hair that's difficult to manage. The first time I just got a trim and blow dry, but on my second visit I also got an Olaplex treatment, which did wonders for my hair type. I get really worried each time I change hairdressers, and have had some not great experiences in Boston, but trust me Luiza is truly the best! The service is also fantastic with complementary drinks and food, massage chairs while you get your hair washed, and everyone is just really kind and attentive.
