They flew in like Superman to save the day (family reunion). Last Friday, C&C finally called me to go over my permit. The original party rental company were not listed with the C&C as an insured vendor. Talk about almost having a panic attack. After talking with the office personnel that I'll call them back after checking with the original company who did not answer, I looked up via Yelp who were reliable party rental companies. A & B Party Rentals was the top of the list AND they are located in Kapolei. I contacted them and first thing I asked...are they listed on the C&C list of insured vendors. They said yes. They were also available for the date of my event. PERFECT. I chose my package and paid in full instead of a deposit because they saved my sanity. The day prior to the event, they called to confirm as well as find out what time I would be at the park because there is a two hour window of when they would arrive depending on the time I indicated I would be at the park. On the day of, they showed up within the hour and set up quickly and efficiently. Friendly young guys who had a good system of working together. Our breakdown was scheduled for 5:00pm but my family were having too much fun, that I contacted A & B party rentals to see if I could extend to 6:00pm. They were accommodating and said yes. The breakdown was just as fast by the same team that my husband and I chose to tip them again. At the end of the event, I had to breathe a sigh of relief that everything went as smooth as possible. The tent (20x40) accommodated my entire family of 60+. The picnic tables I requested were sturdy and easy to set up (NOTE: If you choose this table option, the table set up is on you.) The bouncer comes with its own generator and lasted way more than the expected time (4-6 hours). Recommend: Highly Returning Customer: I will be! By the end of my first site visit with Nate, he filled in almost all my dozens of question marks, and as we continued to plan, he was always prompt to communicate with me with any changes or questions coming from either end. While customer service is always great, no one forgets the bottom line, and Hawaii Special Events offered very affordable pricing, and he allowed us to make changes throughout the planning process, even on the day of! For my wedding they did a few different linen services. They did the pipe and drape for my bridal backdrop to "hide" the TVs that we're mounted at Kapolei Golf Club. They also did the sweetheart and cake table linens in my color scheme but with different textured linens which was fun! Finally, they did my chair sashes which I was extra excited for because I asked them to add on these swirly embellishments! I did not get to talk to or meet with anyone after meeting with Jazz, but they were also responsive by email & everything turned out beautifully. And so, I decided on throwing my baby's party at Bishop Museum's great lawn. With that said, I needed to find a tent company that could supply tables, chairs, and lighting for that amount of guests. Hawaii Tents & Events happened to be the best option especially for the price paid. Other tent companies I researched would have charged easily over $5,000 (without tax) and one company even quoted me close to $10,000. With Hawaii Tents & Events, I did pay a little under $5,000. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The tents, tables and chairs weren't in the best condition but they weren't bad looking either. I did knock off a star because my communication with Tracey (Director of Sales & Marketing), though not the worst, was also not the greatest. Over the phone, she seemed really nice. It was just, at times, it was hard to get a hold of her. I didn't get responses as quick as I would have liked, especially when it came down to figuring out the layout of everything. A lot of my other vendors were dependent on the final layout and some decisions throughout my party planning had to be held off longer than I would have wanted. The mediocre communication, however, would not keep me from booking with them in the future. Their prices really cannot be beat!
