We want to give a huge shout-out to a local business that came to our rescue: Ferrandino Enterprises LLC-Jason and his team came to our home within 30 minutes of the incident last week. We had a windy day last week, and a huge tree (almost missed our home) fell on our driveway, and one tree fell on our car. I had my 6.5 yo in camp, and he needs to be picked up. I called Jason, and he came and assessed the situation and gave us a quote - which was decent considering the amount of damage and trees we had to remove. Of course, I had tons of questions - like licensed or not, etc, and yes, they are licensed. During tropical storm Isaias a large maple tree fell on our house. We called several tree services but none would return our call. Luckly on the day after the storm our insurance company sent Ferrandio Enterprises. They showed up at 7pm that evening and got right to work. In the dark they went up on our roof with chain saws and removed enough of the tree limbs such that they could put tarps on our roof. They were at our house until almost midnight. It was an amazing effort. Later that night it rained and we would have had serious additional damage had they not show up. Two days later, a Saturday, they showed up with a 90 ton crane, lifted the tree off of our roof and cut it up. Two days later they came to clean everything up. We were very impressed with the work they did. read more

This company did fantastic work for us. We needed some miscellaneous things fixed around the house including a rotting deck staircase, a water damaged back door, several areas of blue stone that were sagging and falling, and an area of sagging Earth under a stone wall. Jason was extremely responsive and gave us an estimate that was fair but on the higher end. I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for and that is no different here. One of the great things in regards to price is that the price he quoted me was the price he charged even though a lot of extra work was done. All of the things I listed were done extremely professionally oh, but there were also a lot of extras thrown in. When they repaired the blue stone tiles that were sagging on our front walkway they also threw in brand new stone dust in all the joints. And when they noticed that the cement was coming out of the joints of the staircase attached to it they replace that as well. On the back deck Jason noticed that we could use some extra gravel under the deck which was added for free. His other company did some landscaping for us and the free stuff just kept coming. I give this company my highest recommendation. read more

Jason Ferrandino was introduced to me by my pool contractor, Shoreline Pools. The project entailed gut renovating the entire 2 acre back yard which involved site work, excavation, irrigation, masonry work and landscaping. We planted over 200 16-18 ft green giants, laid down 2 acres of sod and installed decorative plants around kitchen and pool hardscape. The outcome was amazing and I couldn't be happier. Jason is a consummate professional, extremely knowledgeable, responsive and great value for the money spent. He knows a lot about a lot and is a true savant. I look forward to working with Jason in the future to replace my roof and build a guest house on the property for my parents. An all around good guy who is trustworthy and who delivers on his promises and then some. read more

We worked with this company (a subsidiary called United Waterproofing) after our basement (500 sq ft) flooded due to a sump pump failure. The job was to negotiate with our insurance company, move our belongings into storage, tear out drywall and carpeting, mold remediation, waterproofing, and rebuilding the walls. We were told that our insurance payment of 11k would cover the full cost of the project. The work crew showed up the next day and moved everything into a Uhaul truck, and tore out carpeting and walls while we were still negotiating the costs and scope of the project. Still without a contract, the crew showed up on the second day, and, to our surprise, jackhammered the entire perimeter of our basement floor, tearing out our existing (and fully functional) French drains and piping. Neither I nor my husband had any idea that the work was going to be this extensive or redundant. We understood waterproofing to mean enhancing our existing system, not destroying it and replacing it for no discernible reason. It was at this point, while our basement was torn up, with all of the existing waterproofing removed and water quickly rising in the muddy ditches they dug, that the contractor told us the project would actually cost more than 18k to complete. We were blindsided by this, and since we still had no contract and no idea how much more expensive it was going to become with this company, we asked them to stop working. We were invoiced for the work completed (moving furniture, removing carpet and drywall, mold remediation and demolishing our French drains) which, ironically, came to just under $11k (total insurance payout was $11k). We had another company finish the work for a total cost that was substantially lower than that quoted by United Waterproofing. I'm not saying whether or not to use this company, I would just advise anyone considering it to get an itemized signed contract before handing over the house key. I would also deal with the insurance company on my own and not disclose any financial details to the contractor. read more

Had a water issue in my newly purchased home basement (first time home buyer) from the crazy rain storm a week ago and was left clueless what to do. I hate contractors being I have zero clue what anything costs and more so being where I live I can't help but feel like im getting squeezed constantly. I called a few people and left messages...Jason responded promptly and came over right away (others didn't respond until 2-3 days later) He assessed and discussed options and was incredibly reasonable. Next day he had guys over and knocked it out the park. He kept in constant contact and insured full transparency to mitigate any surprises. His team is diligent and as hard working as they come, finished up within a few days. To date best experience I have had with a contractor and look forward to hiring Jason and his squad again for future projects. read more

I used Ferrandino Enterprises or as I found them on the internet, "United Waterproofing" after my basement flooding from a tropical storm. They came and cleaned up the water, took away the carpeting, and cut away the sheetrock to make sure there was no water damage. Jason, the owner did not discuss cost for all this, but promised to come back to talk about repairing the water damage. However, didn't hear from him after that. One of his guys showed up with a huge bill for a small job. All calls to the company went unanswered...until I posted a bad review on Google. Jason called at 9 pm one night and pressured me to take down the review. He said he was willing to give back all my money by if I took it down. That was 3 weeks ago and still I don't have a refund. Not professional and somewhat creepy! read more

They have no idea of how to install pool fence by code. Broke the sprinkler line, cost me 2 grand to fix the whole irrigation system. The pool fence was installed so high up that I had to spend another 2 grand to hire another company to fix the bottom cause there was a huge gap and the city inspector won't pass the inspection. All big talks but failed in delivering a simple job which shows their lack of professional skill and dearth of experience. Forget recommending, will make sure to alert others to stay away from Ferrandion Enterprise of Ridgefield, CT. Very dissatisfied. read more

They are involved in several enterprises, but they are certainly NOT a snow plow company. Destroyed our condominium community; knocking down signs, destroying belgian block, leaving tire tracks on the lawns etc. Completely understaffed, shoddy, and sloppy work. Also, often began plowing hours after the snow had ended, thus unnecessarily plowing until 3:30 AM. Find another company who takes it seriously. read more
