Lailia is such of a sweet person who really cares and enjoys her job and takes lots of pride in it. I can tell that she really opens up her heart to these furr babies to take care of them. I have full respect for this lady and will definitely will be referring anyone needing boarding here. Lailia's is the best of the best. For dog boarding, this is as good as it gets, folks. My furry, four-legged friends have been staying here when we travel for 7 years now. The kennel is built alongside Lailia's home so the dogs are never alone on weekends or holidays like they are at other boarders. The staff is always helpful and give out cell phone numbers in case of emergency. On my last trip we got back into town a little after they closed and they still let me come and pick up my babies. Highly recommended. I never worry when my pups are here. Even though they miss home, I know they are being loved and cared for here at this B & B. read more

Lailia and her staff have been taking care of my furbabies for about 11 years now. Her facility is clean, staff is friendly, and I know my dogs aren't going to be attacked or unsafe around other dogs because she does not turn them all out at the same time for play time. If you have a senior dog, Lailia and staff are very tender with it and will give it the care and attention it needs to make it comfortable during the stay. She even has a groomer on site if you want your pampered pooches to be fluffy and clean when they come home. I highly recommend Lailia's Pet Bed and Breakfast. Sadly, Lailia's wasn't even close to the amazing reviews written here. We boarded our five-month-old great dane Tucker here for four nights over Labor Day weekend. $23 per night in a "suite" that is really a 4X6 kennel with walls and a doggie door to a covered outside area (making it a total of 4X12). Price seemed okay to me....but I wasn't too impressed with the "suite". The front desk person was not very friendly upon check-in and said, "Tucker? Well I guess Lailia must have made the reservation because I didn't know he was coming." Okay so.....not impressed but surely with the amazing reviews on here it doesn't matter how they treat us as long as they are good to our puppy. Right? When asked by Lailia's husband if we wanted Tucker to have a bath before being picked up, we said that we did and since he has skin allergies, we gave him Tucker's prescription shampoo along with a large sack of food, a bone and his teddy bear. When I went to pick up Tucker, he just didn't seem himself at all. He was SUPER skinny (I attribute this to being away from home for the first time and am not suggesting that Lailia's didn't feed him properly, but he did have a lot more food in his food bag than he should have had), he had blood on his front paw (which I noticed on our drive home) and he seemed unusually skittish and wild-eyed. **Some of these things are most likely due to it being his first time away so they didn't really play into my review here.** A younger girl brought Tucker to the front office while I was paying my balance, commented about Tucker being her favorite and she seemed friendly although no other feedback was given to how he did in the four days he was boarded. The lady at the front desk wasn't overly friendly but not rude either. She figured out my balance after laughing that I had been charged 317 days in the system and owed over $8,000 and charged my credit card for Tucker's four night stay ($150). I didn't receive a receipt of what I had been charged for or any kind of feedback at all about how Tucker had been while I was away. I would think that if a dog doesn't eat while being boarded (as we later learned was the case), that someone would say something about this when we picked him up. Nope! The only feedback I received was that he's a sweet dog, which we obviously knew already. :) When I asked the younger girl how he did, I was told that he did just fine. Getting into the car, Tucker did not smell very good at all and he was shedding like crazy (which is unusual after he has had a bath). To be honest, I couldn't tell he had had a bath at all.....I would have almost bet my entire life savings he hadn't (which isn't much but still!). Total price for a four night stay in a "suite" totaled $150 with a bath. Okay, well....I don't mind spending money on anything to do with my big guy so no big deal. But when I started thinking about it, I realized that we must have been charged $60 for a bath that I couldn't even tell he had had. A call to Lailia resulted in nothing but finding out that a bath was $40 (yikes....seriously?!), and that her husband had given him a bath that morning with their oatmeal shampoo and not the shampoo we had provided for them (thank goodness he wasn't allergic to it). It was also during that phone call that we learned that Tucker hadn't eaten much at all while we were away and that they had no idea where the blood on his paw had come from. I honestly was surprised that Lailia knew we were incredibly unhappy with everything yet she only offered to "split" the charges for the bath resulting in a $20 refund. She also gave us a $10 refund for Tucker's first night stay because she said that we were overcharged for that night. While we recovered a little bit of the money that we paid for this place, I would have gladly paid double that to begin with just to know Tucker was taken care of while I was away. I am not a crazy dog parent and I don't expect everyone to take care of Tucker exactly the way I do, but if you love your pets as much as I love my big guy and don't want to worry that they are being taken care of in your absence, I would steer clear of this place no matter what the other reviewers say. I wouldn't let Lailia's pay ME to allow Tucker to stay there again....that's how badly I feel for leaving him there for four days. Never again!! read more

Brought my baby girl here for 9 days while out of the country on vacation. I was very nervous to leave her at a boarding facility as the last time I boarded her, she came home with Lyme disease. Lailia's was recommended to me by my in-laws who had taken their dog there multiple times and always had a good experience so we decided to give it a try. She met us at the front when we arrived and we got to see the area where Pepper would be staying all week. I liked that each dog goes out separately and gets some time alone. Lailia was so accommodating. I text her a few times during our trip to check in and she sent pictures and videos each time! She made a special exception and stayed open a little late for us to pick up our girl since our flight was slightly delayed and that meant THE WORLD. I was worried we would have to leave her another day but Lailia made it work!!! I can't recommend this place enough. Pepper came back happy and tired from a week of her own vacation. We will 100% be using again. read more

I am absolutely appalled at the negative comments on here! I have a 4 year old Border Collie that has been going to Laila's since he was a pup and before that my 17 year old Border Collie had the privilege of going to Laila's for much of his life. She absolutely takes care of the family members that are trusted to her care. I usually had problems getting my 17 year old to come home with me, She spoiled him rotten. :-) I would never trust anyone else with my fur babies!!! Please understand that Laila was absolutely heartbroken about the ACCIDENT that happened to the dog in her care, and it's my understanding that the dog in the pics above was sharing a kennel with a friends dog upon the owners request. The accident happened when the dogs got into a fight.... how can that be Laila's fault. If you are needing a place to send your fur babies, please give Laila a call and talk with her. Better yet, go by and see the place first hand, it will put all your worries to rest. LAILA'S IS WONDERFUL!!!!! read more

I just logged in and was prompted to finish a review I started in December of 2013. My apologies for the delay, as I can see now, that many have had issues at this place. Here is what I began back then: We used Laila's, after having pleasant experiences with the place years ago, when it was fairly new and unique. The experience from a year ago was not wonderful. I provided my dog's food and he failed to eat much. I can't blame that on the staff, as my dog has a certain amount of separation anxiety. I wondered why they didn't notify me that my dog was not eating, since he is 16 years old and I was in contact via text with a girl who worked there. I was unhappy to discover that the place had tons of flies in the indoor kennel area. After picking up my dog, I discovered that he was not doing well, from lack of nutrition. His homemade food was allowed to sit out. Had I known that my dog's health was declining, then I would have flown home from New Mexico to take care of him. I got home just in time. He was dehydrated and needed medical care. read more

DON'T BE FOOLED! They have a great website that makes you believe they are going to take great care of your pet. Don't make the mistake of showing up early to pick up your pet, you will be very disappointed. We picked up our white Goldendoodle 1 day early after staying 5 days in a deluxe suite, and she was soaked in urine and feces. It took four professional groomer bathing treatments to get the stains out of her fur, and is now under a veterinarian's care with a fungal infection in her paws and ears from the disgusting conditions that she lived in for 5 days. Save your money and run, go somewhere else. read more

My personal feeling is they are probably upset about something else and just trying to hurt the business. Everyone Who works there is very nice and professional. We brought our dog here 1 year ago. Maybe they've gotten better, but suffice it to say that when we picked up our beloved dog her bed was so soaked in urine we had to throw it away. We never went back and never will. The people were nice though. read more

My husband and I have two babies, one boston terrier and one boston/rat terrier.And the only ones we trust with our babies as much as my sweet mother , is Lailias bnb. We have been using Lailias for five years, and will continue too. Our babies are always happy and clean when we pick them up. They make sure all dogs have their shots updated. and they live next to the bnb, I also love the suites, that have doggy doors. Best place ever for your dogs. read more

BAD! HORRIFIC! TERRIFYING! I boarded two of my dogs at Lailia's Pet Bed and Breakfast on Saturday, 7/18-7/25. On 7/18 a woman and her two daughters, a 12 yr and 18 yr greeted us. I handed her all of my dogs paperwork, even though she never asked for it (shot records, vets name, a local friends phone number) along with each pet's food and treats bagged and labeled daily with their names and instructions on each Ziploc bag. I was told that I had WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS by preparing for their week at Lailia's. I then said, "I love my dogs". I wanted my dogs to have a good week and I was trying to make it easier for the staff at Lailia's. We asked if we could see where the dogs would live for the week and the woman said that the dogs in the back had had a BAD night and it wasn't a good idea. She never said we couldn't go, just that it would be BAD. A man was also dropping off his dog at the same time and he did go back. He came back to the front and said "whew" and shook his head, which in hindsight, spoke volumes. I confirmed how many times the dogs are let out during the day and I was told that they were to be let out 5 times per day into an area where they could run and use the bathroom. I was also assured that the door from their cage to the outside would be opened during the day for a few minutes at a time to let them go out into the small area that was separated by a doggie door. We called two times during the week and we were told that our dogs were fine. They even said that they brought our dogs up to the front office so they could get acquainted with the staff. We later found out that when they bring the dogs up front, it means that they are kept in carriers behind the desk. On Saturday, July 25, we picked up our dogs, only to find them in such horrible condition. They looked frightened and unhealthy. Our younger dog, a 4 year old/60 lb. Border Collie mix had his tail between his legs. He looked scared and he was wet on his feet and his backside and had a cut on his nose. Our older dog, a terrier mix who is 12 yrs. old and 20lbs, did not come out right away. A different woman behind the desk said that they were getting her. After a few minutes, the 12 year old girl from the week prior came out from the back and said that my dog had escaped her collar. When she brought my dog up to the front, my dog looked frightened and wet. She's always been an excitable dog, but when I called her she just stood there terrified, tail between her legs, while the girl attempted to get her collar back around her neck. My daughters took the dogs immediately outside. The dogs urinated for almost 45sec. each. I stayed inside and asked why the dogs were wet and the woman stated "because we wanted to clean them up a little bit". I said I didn't ask for the dogs to be bathed and she said they didn't bathe them. I asked for the food, bedding and toys. Interesting, the dogs had more food and treats remaining than they should have had. The bedding was torn and soaking wet along with the toys. We had to throw the bed away. Our dogs smelled atrocious, and once home we understood why. They were both covered in feces. Our younger dog had a fist size matted feces on his side, and our terrier had diarrhea all over her behind. They even had feces in between their nails. This explains why they were both wet at pickup...an attempt to quickly "clean them up". We also discovered the true extent of their conditions and rushed them to their vet within one hour of picking them up at Lailia's. They both had chronic diarrhea and one had a UTI. The one with the UTI couldn't take a step without whining, and was in observable pain for at least 72 hrs. I called Lailia's when we returned from the vet and had to leave a message. It took 48hrs after my initial call before someone spoke with me. I have since talked with two people at Lailia's, including the owner Pat, and not one apologized for what happened. Both were calloused and apathetic towards my dogs' suffering. The manager even had the nerve to say that all I was after was the money being returned. That couldn't be farther from the truth. I want this to have never happened to my dogs. They didn't deserve to be treated like this. We even paid for a premium room for them!!! They never recognized nor cared about my dogs' illnesses that developed while boarded. My dogs are not the same dogs I dropped off. They are nervous and they were sick. I don't want anything from this but CHANGE! This maltreatment must stop. Look on YELP. I'm not the only with a complaint. We are unable to rate the business with less than one star. Too bad, Lailia's would have received -0- from me!!!!! read more

Lailias Pet BnB is the hot spot for your pets stay away from home.Lailia recently cleaned house so to speak......employees is what I am refering to. A employee is your first impression to any bussiness.Lailias staff is above and beyond I know my pets are taken care of and thats no easy job. I have three from 10 lbs to 95 lbs puppy to senior.All though I am a fairly new customer a littte over a year now I know for sure my pets are treated like family.Dont ask me how my pets know when we are going to Lailias but they do and the excitement is on.Once when I was picking up my pets it was on a sunday the girl that brought my pets in from the kennel was explaining to me what each one of my pets excperiance had been while staying.Satisfied with my detailed report card on each pet we where ready to go home at last....Out the door to the truck I thought, One of my pets had broke lose from my hold and was on his way back into the kennel,,,,, Wow I thought is that not something else he wasnt ready to come home. My feelings where a little hurt however that speaks for it self our pets cant talk but they sure can let us know by there actions whats going on.Lailias Pet BnB is the one and only for my pets.My over all experiance has been rewarding and I recomend Lailais one night or a week my pets are well taken care of and happy when I pick them up. read more
