I'm from California and I'm out here for GB football game. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by and get some snacks. The store is a packer fan supermarket dream!!! Packer flags, bags, banners .... EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF THEY HAVE. Green Bay packers cakes... cookies. We really just went there trying to find some kombucha and chips and we walked out with $100 worth of EVERYTHING. I had to get cheese!!! I love cheese so you know I wasn't gonna come here without getting cheese. We also bought some of their prepackaged food. I really enjoyed the lobster macaroni & cheese!!! Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. My 15-year-old son had his first job interview scheduled with this company on June 25 at 3:30 PM. He received an automated reminder text an hour before the interview, confirming it was still on schedule, but the call never came. He texted the same number for an explanation and got only another automated reply directing him to email. I emailed that address and received no response. I also called corporate headquarters three times during business hours and was sent to voicemail each time, with no return call. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of communication, accountability, or even a basic apology is unacceptable. This was my son's first experience with the job application process, and he was simply ignored. read more

No more Festival for me. For about the past 4-6 months or so, Festival (at least this location) has been going downhill, and today was the last straw. I went in for one specific item - a bakery item I've seen during every other visit. The item I sought was gone, along with about half the display tables and bakery items that normally fill the bakery space. When I asked two cashiers what was happening in the bakery area, both claimed to be unaware even that half the display tables were gone. In less than one eeek' s time, a grocery store eliminates 50% of their bakery displays and products...and no employee can advise me what's going on? I shop here because it's close to home. It's more expensive so I don't buy too much from here. The one major issue is the expiration dates on their food. You have to check everything. I tried to buy soup, but it was expired or expiring today. I alerted the staff, only to have to run to the store later to still see that expired food sitting there for sale!!! Their rewards program via text used to be good, now it's just ads. The store is always clean and they have nice staff, but it's a hassle making sure every single thing I buy isn't expired. read more

Festival Foods is alright, it is definitely where I get most of my groceries. Though, most recently I have ventured to Fresh Thyme a couple of times. I can't get out of festival spending less than $300. I feel it is a tad expensive. Decent layout, helpful and available staff. Sanitized carts with a sanitizer station. Plastic bag recycling. Two different sized carts. Six self-checkouts. Variable cashiers based on how busy they are. I never have to wait more than a few minutes. I like that they don't have a reward program where you have to have a phone number or card to get the best prices. Just tell them to scan the newspaper they give out at the entrance. I've just given up on trying new sweets they have in their bakery such as brownies or cookies. I've tried at least five different ones and they are all very underwhelming. Their hoagie rolls, however, are delicious. They are also very good at making pastries/breakfast breads. Try their almond poppy bread, you will love it. They have a fantastic organic section, and I love that it has its whole section. They don't always have my preferred organic fruits and vegetables, but what they do carry is quite good. Tons of brown cage-free egg options, a nice variety of milk, and alternative dairy products. Mom's Meatloaf is spectacular, but I am on a hiatus as of recent because I ate it too frequently and it got old. Need to take a meatloaf break. Love their fresh fish options, with unique rotating varieties. I've never had to return any, unlike I just had to at Fresh Thyme. Korean chicken and beef from the meat counter are not great. Chicken and pork from there are good, and I like the variety of pre-marinades they offer. The shaved skillet beef is great for homemade Philly cheesesteaks. Get some of the homemade hoagie rolls I mentioned above to eat them with. The sushi is respectable, but it is pretty expensive and not nearly as good as Island Sushi for example. Better to just order pickup there. One day a week they have cheap sushi deals; these prices, in my opinion, are about what it should be priced at all the time. The remaining hot food portion I have never personally tried, but for some reason, it just does not appeal to me. Sunday sliced ham is tasty and very fairly priced. The store is usually clean and the aisles are clearly marked. Large selection and local produce in the summer. My biggest complaint is how often I end up with expired items. I know I should check everything because of how often stuff is expired, but when I'm buying a ton of groceries I don't check everything. I've seen people stocking and they don't put new behind old, they just fill the space. Today I bought a large tube of ground pork that was on sale in the ad. I went to repack it in smaller portions and saw that it expired 3 days ago. I'm getting really sick of this happening. read more

I have died and gone to grocery store heaven! Festival foods is a pretty awesome store when it comes to grocery items. For my folks in Texas imagine if HEB had a baby with Whole Foods and central market and the wine and spirits section of Costco, that is how I would describe Festival Foods. You want a salad bar ,they got it. You want a deli , they got it. Do you want some sushi, they got it. You want a hot food bar , they got it. They have a whole section dedicated just to organic foods , the variety in this place is unbelievable. I know in other reviews people have said that is expensive ,but it is way cheaper than what you would find most items in Texas. I really cannot say enough about this place, I just wish I would have come in sooner during my 8 week stay in Wisconsin. read more

I have been waiting for years for a store to open close to me. I can only say no thank you. While the store is very nice the prices are ridiculous and my cutting coupon days were over a long time ago. Why do I have to spend $5 to even activate the coupon? I will stick with Pick and Save where I can clip coupons on lime and get much more for my money. read more

I only give Festival Foods in DePere a 2 because the variety of food is fantastic. The service however, is not. I was in there on 5/ 22 / 18 around 2:00 in the afternoon. There was several staff on the sales floor. I understand that some were working putting groceries away or setting sales. There were 3 lead staff on the sales floor near the frozen foods by the bakery just talking. I stood there looking at them for a minute or so,( I timed it) and no one acknowledged I was there. I am a former employee of Festival and know about the 10 tile rule. I was so angry I just left. I felt unwelcome in the store. You're slipping Festival! read more

Because of Covid 19 my son and fiance had to cancel their big wedding celebration and instead planned a small backyard wedding to celebrate with close friends and family. We wanted to make sure it was still a very special day for them and wanted an elegant cake for them and Festival, Onalaska, WI delivered. Great local grocery chain with a "fun" name.... it's a Festival !!!! They have a huge selection and decent prices. I enjoyed the fruit selection and different organics. They even had cereals I hadn't seen since I was a kid (i.e. 4 types of Cap'n Crunch, King Vitamin). The staff are super friendly, and you get to bag yourself at the checkout (fun). read more

So we came here on game day (yeah, I know, I know) and the place wasn't total chaos. They had lots of open registers with lots of cashiers working them. We came here to pick up some drinks. Now I don't really drink much, but I was impressed with their beer and liquor selections. We called looking for a particular moscato. The employee we spoke to couldn't find it. When we got there, I found it while searching for an alternative. Sometimes it's better to look for yourself if you know what you want. Being a grocery store liquor section, it's unlikely an employee would be familiar with every brand they carry. read more

Festival foods on Birch St Festival is a pricey store, but was justified with it superior customer service. Lately, there is no justification. The employees seem to express their disinterest for providing customer service bluntly to their patrons. Liquor Dept has a young girl who has little or no social interaction, and, well, I wouldn't say, "throws" but is certainly not nice about sending back your product or change. Cashiers do not ask preference of bag, they simply ring you up and chat with their co workers the entire time. Not everyone is perfect, but lack of customer service in a customer service industry seems futile. read more

I can't put my finger on it why, but this is my least favorite Festival in the area. It seems a little dingy. Employees are not unfriendly but still not as friendly as other Festival stores. Their produce is fine. Bakery is fine. Meat department is one area where I was looking for the steak they had on sale and they only had a few to choose from. read more

OK, so Festival just made me laugh. Popped in here for a few things during a recent stay in Green Bay area --on a Sunday afternoon. ALL of the staff were wearing Green Bay jerseys, as were about 2/3 of the customers. I'm so glad I didn't have a question --I wouldn't have known who to ask! I used to live in De Pere so I used to go here all the time. I stopped in last night and was happy to see the large organic section they have added. I was able to get some chia seeds at a decent price. I really wish all the Festivals had the same layout but alas they do not. Which is okay I will survive. I always like Festival because they have really good produce and meat selections. This location is no different with the great quality. The lack of a star is because I needed Franks Buffalo Wing sauce and they literally had NO Frank's products on the self. It was bizarre and a let down. First time to festival in two years and I was pretty disappointed. A lot of things weren't stocked and the employees could care less about their job or customers around them. Walked past 4 different people and they didn't even acknowledge customers presence. Couldn't find half the things I came for either because the aisle was marked incorrect or the shelf was empty. Also, they don't know how to rotate stock. Almost everything I shopped for had expired items in the back and new items in front. When I went to check out there were 4 people in line with only one cashier. The guy at customer service was just standing around doing nothing then disappeared. I went to self check with a cart full of groceries and it took forever to scan everything and wait for the system to acknowledge that I set it in the bagging area. Also there isn't a hand held scanner so I had to lift heavy items up to the scanner and I am 32 weeks pregnant, so it's pretty hard to lift items, and there wasn't anyone available to assist. Won't be going back again any time soon sadly. Always heard great things but I should have read the reviews before going. read more

They employ disrespectful liars. I was told by an employee to go to a location and told what I would find when I got there. Upon arriving at the location, I found something completely different. When I reported back to the employee who had given me the directions about what I had found, he told me he did not care and to go away. In spite of it being the closest grocery store to where I live, I will not be patronizing this establishment again. If its not on sale it's expensive! I don't like that you are forced to buy $5 to get the "coupon items". Shouldn't have to spend money to save money on other items. They used to allow you to get something under $5 but have done away with that. Management doesn't care at all if you walk out because you don't want to spend money to save on items. Some weeks you just don't need much. I spend a lot of money there and won't be any more. I was able to work with an amazing employee, Amanda, at the store and she was awesome! So I like going here and I don't even shop for groceries. Every week I have places to go and I want to get something to eat that's not fast food and get something quick and only pay $5-10. I have found my calling. What I love about this and basically all Festival Foods is their hot bar and sandwich area, which is near the store's deli. The hot bar has wide variety of items from chicken, pizza, and pasta. It costs $6.99/pound, which is not bad depending on what you get. Going around the hot bar, there's always two different kinds of soup, followed by a salad bar, and then sushi! They have people that makes fresh sushi every day. You can either take whatever they made in advance or you can specifically ask what you want in your sushi roll. On Wednesdays, most sushi is $5. Is it the best sushi...no, but it's pretty darn decent when you consider getting it from a grocery store. Past the sushi there are a bunch of sandwiches (meat and cheese for the most part) along with a bunch of noodle salads. Near by this paradise island of food there are fruit and vegetable cups for 2 to 3 dollars. This specific store even has three small tables by the hot food bar. I'll get some food and eat the tables and get some work done on my computer. I don't think any of the other GB locations have tables. I do know the Appleton and Neenah locations have an upstairs area with several tables and chairs. I'm a little jealous of those stores. read more
