I thought this store was very organized and clean! This location has all of the typical items that "Home goods" would have- individual departments being "Rugs", "Children's department", "Lighting", "Kitchen", etc. Upon walking in, you were easily bombarded with many "Easter Ideas" for the house. The thing I liked about this store is that you could see the clear distinction between "Marshalls & Home goods"- the items didn't cross connect and the store wasn't messy. Additionally, the store was organized- it was many items that jumped out at me that I would've loved to purchase. There was plenty of staff walking around (that I could see) that you could've easily asked for assistance. I particularly liked the "pet" section and the "Home Office" section. As far as parking, there is plenty of parking outside so even on a busy day, you have somewhere to park. The only reason I did not give this store 5 stars is because although it is a great idea to combine the 2 stores, I really like Home Goods as an individual entity so that the layout of the store is more spaced out. However, this was not nearly enough to keep me from coming back! I would shop here again.

I would still recommend this location because of the great deals and variety, but be prepared to wait in line ,patience is key!

I went to return an item for 6.99 this location was at the Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. The manager proceeded to tell me that she had to check the camera to see if the item was damaged before I made the purchase. What an insult to my intelligence to review the camera for such a small item. The policy does not state that it's up to the manager to decide whether or not we can exchange or get a refund for all items. this is not the first time I had to deal with returning or exchanging an item. By the time I made it through one section of the store, I was sweating like I had just run a marathon in July. Forget trying on clothes--I was trying to stay conscious. The employees looked just as miserable. The poor guy at the register looked ready to faint barely 20 minutes into his shift. I honestly felt bad for him. To make matters worse, even the manager mentioned how unbearable the heat was and practically begged me to tell someone because the staff is suffering. I don't know if the air conditioning was broken or if there simply isn't any, but something needs to be done. Customers shouldn't need electrolyte drinks and a cooling vest just to browse for socks. Great prices, but the temperature inside felt like Primark: The Oven Edition. Please turn the AC on before someone melts into the floor.

The store's layout used to be an even 50-50 split between men's and women's apparel. The men's section here has always been limited compared to the selection at larger BR stores (e.g. North Brunswick, Bridgewater, Short Hills) especially in terms of suit sizing, but over the past decade the women's section has been gradually displacing the men's section, which now occupies less than 1/4 of this store's shelf space. I'm guessing this is due to shifts in the dying demographic of shoppers who still shop for clothes via brick-and-mortar. Store associates here have always been helpful (probably because they're usually not teenagers), and like at other BR locations the cashier is located in the middle of the store. How this BR store has managed to stay afloat for this long is a complete enigma, considering that all of its neighbors on the second floor crumbled (even before the pandemic) and have since been replaced by off-off-off brand retailers, a slime factory, and a wine & paint studio. Even the Gap store here didn't survive. This particular wing of Menlo Park Mall on the second level has historically been very prone to turnover, so I'd keep an eye out for any liquidation announcements in the near future.
