Fetch Pet Care of DC is one of the most professional businesses I have worked with in the area (or in general for that matter). I used Fetch while I traveled for 3 weeks internationally. The Pet sitter came every other day as promised and sent follow-up emails after each visit. I have been using Fetch for over a year now and they are simply terrific. We have had two great dog walkers in that time who really like dogs and their work. Luisa loves our old lady dog and sends pictures of their walks every day; she spends a full half hour playing and petting Molly so she has some good people time even if the dog wasn't in the mood for a walk. When Molly appeared to be having health problems, Luisa helped to document what she was seeing. I had an awesome experience from start to finish with Fetch Pet Care! The scheduling part is seamless- you complete the online service request form, you are contacted by a Fetch employee to discuss your needs, and then you receive an email from Fetch identifying your sitter, who will contact you shortly. After submitting my request for care, I was contacted within an hour by Fetch. They take your credit card info but they do not charge it until after service is complete. As I live in Pentagon City, they matched me with a sitter nearby. Once they sent me my sitter's name, she contacted me within an hour or two. Julie (my sitter) and I set up a time when she could come to my apartment and meet Lex (my cat) and take notes on any instructions or special care he needed, plus get a lowdown on his routine. This meeting took about 30 minutes and she was very flexible with the time. This is also where we gave her a copy of our key. Julie checked in on Lex twice while I was away and she texted me after each visit and sent pictures too! Lex usually leaves hair clumps around the apartment when we are gone too long, and to my surprise there were none at all! Julie made sure to play with Lex, feed him his canned food, and change his litter box during her 30 minute visits. I could tell from the pictures Lex was enjoying the attention while we were away. Each 30 minute visit was $20-extremely reasonable in my opinion. I have now used Fetch in two separate cities (Pittsburgh being the other one) and have been very happy both times. Dare I say though, I think Julie really went above what my sitter in Pittsburgh did! I can say I would absolutely recommend Fetch Pet Care to anyone in the future and on my next trip away from home, I will absolutely be calling Julie to tend to Lex again! read more

We have been using Fetch's services since October of last year and we are so glad that our neighbor recommended them to us. Our dog walker, Dana, came highly recommended and while Chloe was super anxious around other dog walkers, she warmed up to Dana immediately! The one thing we love about Fetch is how reliable and efficient they are. I cannot tell you how many times I have made a last minute change to Chloe's dog walking schedule and Fetch has been extremely cooperative. They also send me an updated invoice right after any change in service is made. I have even recommended Fetch to one of my coworkers and he uses their services to walk his puppy daily. Dana is also an amazing dog walker and we trust her 100% with Chloe. Sometimes when I am home and walking Chloe, if she sees Dana, it is as though I don't even exist! That is how much my dog loves her and how much we trust her. I receive daily texts from Dana about Chloe after her walks. I love that Dana sometimes walks Chloe with other dogs in our building. This has been really nice for Chloe too, since she has made some good friends. When we do eventually move from our building, I wonder what we will do if Dana is not there to walk our dog. Their prices for Arlington went up to $20 a visit when they merged with Fetch Georgetown a few months ago. read more

I used Fetch! Pet Care of North Arlington for three days during the Christmas/New Year's holiday week. Jessica was wonderful with my two high-strung terriers. She was prompt in communicating with me and scheduling my pet-care needs as well as follow-up when I returned home to make sure everything went as well as could be during my absence. I tried to arrange boarding with Fetch and had an awful experience. I spoke to a few people on the phone who assured me that despite it being Thanksgiving, they had plenty of availability and were not fully booked. I filled out all the paperwork and gave them my credit card info. They said the last step was to meet with a walker. A week went by without contact from anyone. After emailing them they responded telling me they were still trying to determine if they could find a walker. I was under the impression that this was a confirmed service. I called and the lady over the phone was not at all helpful and suggested I make 'back up plans'. I was finally notified a week before the boarding was supposed to begin that they couldn't find anyone to do the job. Thank GOD I have great neighbors who are able to help me for free. I couldn't believe this company would string someone along like this. I would have kept looking for another company if I had known at any point they couldn't assure me they could do the job! I had seven different people walk my dog in a year. It seems they have a hard time maintaining staff. Of those seven, two were great, but that's not a winning ratio. I'd sent several notices about the most recent walker as to why the walls were so short (in terms of distance). She actually wrote back that my dog is just slow so they don't make it as far, blamed the heat, etc. I wasn't buying it, but yesterday was home when the walker stopped by. She parked directly in front of my house, walked my dog for 15 minutes and left. I received a notice saying my dog had been walked 30 minutes. Now I know that there was nothing lazy about my dog--I was being shorted in walks! To learn that you are getting half of what you're paying for is maddening. I cancelled them immediately! read more
