The management/owners have always been super responsive and caring and the walkers are very good. Theo absolutely adores Heath, our doggy walker. One day I was home sick, lying in bed feeling sorry for myself, and Heath entered to walk Theo. Heath came through the door and greeted Theo loudly and lovingly with a "Theoooooo!" followed by lots of pets and love when Theo ran to him. When they returned, Heath continued to pamper Theo and give him treats and talk to him just like I do. Through all of this Heath didn't know I was home and sick. The dog walkers did wonderful with Kyser! Brianna was our regular walker and each day she would leave a detailed note and tell us how much she enjoys her visits with Kyser. I know Kyser enjoyed them as well. I can't thank her enough! These guys were always accommodating to our varying schedule and din't even get mad the time I forgot to cancel and they showed up to no dog in the apartment. I was very excited when I saw their new puppy package online. I submitted a request for more information and was told someone would get back to me within 24hrs. When two days passed, I called. The woman who answered the phone did not inspire confidence. She was disorganized and sounded very confused by my fairly simply request. I'm interviewing several dog walking companies for my adult dog and the new puppy we are bringing home in a few weeks. I was extremely frustrated and put off by her attitude toward my desire to retain her services. She tried to blow me off until *after* the new puppy was home, while we need something in place for when we go back to work within 4 days of bringing the dog home. She basically told us to wait 'til the dog was home, then call them and see if they had room for us. Not happening. I don't leave something like dog walks for an 8wk old puppy to chance the night beforehand! When I told her I would be interviewing several dog walkers, she forcefully asked me who else I was contacting and then said they didn't do interviews, before amending her statement to suggest I 'interview everyone else' and then give her a call. She did add that even if they did to interviews, it wouldn't be with the person walking our dogs, but the company manager. If someone is getting a key to my home and walking my 8wk old dog - or my 3yr old dog - I am going to meet them. The whole thing was very weird. Dog walkers are in your home when you are not. You have to take them at their word that they showed up when they said they would and gave your dog the walk you paid for. While I did not hire them, I was very uncomfortable with the level of professionalism in our conversation. YMMV, but this was my experience. read more

The company is great at getting business. They sent an amazing woman to my house to meet my dog and gather information about her. Then, they pulled the bait and switch. They assigned a different walker to me, and he was an extremely odd person. After about a month of being walked, I noticed that my sweet, sweet dog was extremely skiddish around males. In order to investigate, I worked from home to observe the walker's interaction with my dog. Well, there was none. He exploded into the house, huffing and puffing, pounded up the stairs, put her on the leash and drug her out - never even speaking to her. When they got back from the walk (which was exactly half of the time I was paying for), my dog RAN upstairs to get away from him and he THREW treats upstairs after her. While the online scheduling feature they offer is great, the office personnel are extremely unresponsive. I have cancelled my service but have only had one set of keys returned. read more

Robbyn returns your emails promptly and they have a very flexible cancellation policy. Our dog loves the dog walkers. They leave a quick note/or an email - whichever you prefer. We used rover and baroo in the past and the dog walkers were unreliable (cancelled on us a few times when it snowed) and inconsistent. Although the office had back up walkers, they were rarely necessary, and we found the care to be consistent throughout our time with the company. We always found the office to be polite and professional and promt in their responses. Both walkers were wonderful with the dogs. They gave them special attention and treated them as though they were their own dogs. We had a regularly scheduled walk with the company, but found that anytime we needed additional services (extra walks, overnights, etc.) that they were able to make it work. As two working dog parents, when we got our 2 month old puppy we knew we would not be okay with leaving him home alone all day. Doggywalker has been a lifesaver for us. Please exercise caution when leveraging this service. I hired their team to watch my cats over the fourth of July holiday last year (2016). It started with the pre-visit where the sitter was late, really didn't pay attention, didn't seem interested and didn't take notes. I figured she was a quick study. When I returned, the plants were not watered, the wet food barely used (i.e. one spoon scoop only over a week's + time where I go through at least a full container once a week), there was barely enough dry food, the water bowls were next to empty, I scooped two days worth of "cat business," one cat was matted, none of the cat treat containers were touched, none of the toys had been touched and I was left one short note where over a week's worth of visits were slated. Upon elevating this, the sitter lied and said she took the plants outside (i.e. two of the three were already outside), she thought the plants did not need watering because it rained (i.e. they were under a fully covered patio), didn't realize there were upstairs water bowls (which there were not and does not answer the nearly empty bowls), none of the cats ate wet food (which they do twice daily with me) and no comment on the electrical outage. It took some back and forth, but I did receive a partial reduction, which was still more generous than any visit(s) I did receive. If I did receive visits, I'm not sure what she did. read more

Super flaky! They abruptly cancelled my service by email after one visit and with only 24 hours notice to find a replacement. The reason they cited was that the dogwalker "did not feel comfortable" walking my dog and they said there was no other employee at the service who "would be a better fit" for my dog. They made no offer to provide service until I could find someone else, though they eventually did agree to send "someone" to walk my dog after I called them in tears. (I was starting a new job with a 40-mile commute.) They never gave me any indication that my dog was essentially "auditioning" for service or any warning this could happen. They made no apology for their decisions, offering only a non-apology that they were "sorry it worked out this way," and they expressed no remorse for the terribly stressful situation they put me in. They did return my keys promptly. The dog in question is 1 yr old, weighs 11 lbs, and is a recent rescue. The dog has never displayed any aggression, and the operations manager confirmed that aggressive behavior was not an issue. It was simply that the dogwalker felt the dog was too shy. The dogwalker did not use the training treats I provided her. I was never allowed to talk to the dogwalker about what had transpired. There were other red flags with their service. First, they were very evasive about the time my dog would be walked. I leave at 8 AM and return 4-6 PM. They kept pushing me to accept a walk in the morning, 10 AM-12 PM. They seemed not to get that it made no sense to have my dog walked 2 hours after I left. I offered to pay more to have my dog walked midday, and they declined. I also know for a fact that the dogwalker I was supposed to get walks a neighbor's dog between 2 and 3 PM. The neighbor is under the impression her dog is being walked at 1 PM. Second, the dogwalkers are not contractors; they are employees. While this does not guarantee you service (the operations manager explicitly said she could not "make" the dogwalker walk my dog), it does mean that the person you think will walk your dog may not be the person who walks your dog. The reason I didn't pay for more visits while I was at home to socialize the dog to the dogwalker is that I was told it could be a different person each time. I chose this company because the operations manager lives in my neighborhood, and she solicited my business. Lesson learned. read more

I submitted a request late in the day Friday and received a response over the weekend that someone would contact me between normal business hours of 8:00am to 4:00 pm on Monday. No one did. I sent a follow up email requesting a call back that morning. No one did. There is no phone number on their website that I could find. I got a number from a friend who uses their services and likes them. Called the number and was told they had been calling their walkers to see if anyone could help us. Promised to call me back about a consultation date and then received a message saying they could not help us but we were "strongly encouraged" to try them again in the future. Yeah right. We required somewhat sporadic services so I'm sure we are less appealing than five day a week every week clients. Nevertheless if they don't want to do other kinds of schedules they should state that on their website. We've lost almost a week in our search. I have been a client on and off for seven years (the "off" being when we lived overseas), with two different dogs, several guest dogs and some fosters, and they have taken excellent care of all of them. When my current dog cut his paw pad during a walk, the walker noticed it immediately, called the office right away to report it and get advice on examining his foot, left us a note, and then the office followed up. Their flexibility has been without parallel; I have frequently added or subtracted last minute walks, and they have always accommodated me cheerfully and without a complaint. If no regular walker is available on short notice for an added walk then someone from the office pitches in. (I do live quite close.) They also recognize referrals; I just got a thank you note and a credit for one I made. They are also involved in the dog rescue community, including via in-kind (and probably monetary) donations for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, for which I volunteer. I was travelling for work had boarded my pups and when one of them got hurt; the end result was I that I was hundreds of miles away and needed to get vet care, as well as someone to look after my dogs for the reminder of my trip.
