UnderDogs has been wonderful for our Mt. Pleasant, DC family. Setting up a consultation was easy to schedule and Sam got us set up in the system (which is very user-friendly!) quickly. The operation has a distinct small-business feel with competitive rates for the neighborhood. There are no hidden fees and you can cancel/schedule afternoon walks as late as the morning of. You can join even if you just need the occasional walk, or if you need walks every day. We have not had any cancellations or scheduling difficulties, which is such a relief after many last minute cancellations with Wag before we started with UnderDogs. They have been communicative and understanding through COVID-19 and give us the opportunity to pay our walker directly even if we aren't using their services. Our walker has been Kwame - while we've only met him once, our dog clearly absolutely loves him. The only downside is that, unlike Wag or other more app-based services, there's no way of knowing remotely exactly when the dog is picked up and dropped off. However, since we have no concerns about reliability of the company or walker, it has not been an issue. read more

This is long overdue! We used Underdogs the entirety of the time we lived in Mt. Pleasant, and they've basically helped raise our puppies. They have the same regular walker everyday, and when she comes over, our dogs are so excited to see her. The whole team is wonderful to work with. Last minute changes? No problem. Home sick and need to text the morning of? Great. I also love their boarding process. It's so nice to know your dogs are going to stay at someone's home and not boarded at some facility. We regularly use Greg to walk our 11 month old rescue dog during the week while we're at work. Our experience with him has been absolutely fantastic. Great Things about Greg and Underdogs DC: - He comes to your house to meet you and your pet before he starts taking them on walks. He impressed us with how thorough he was in getting to know us. It made it easy for us to trust him immediately. - The online portal is super easy to use and they make it easy to change dog walks around. Our schedules can change quickly and they're very accommodating of that. - You ALWAYS get the full length of the walk you pay for (if not longer) - Our dog LOVES Greg. When we've run into him, she is clearly so thrilled to see him. - Greg has been an amazing resource as a new dog owner. Our puppy has separation anxiety and Greg has provided lots of great tips on how to make us leaving less stressful for her. I have so many good things to say about Greg and Underdogs DC. We used UnderDogs for about 2 years before we unfortunately moved our of their service area. Greg, Sam and Harrison walked our 2 dogs, and each of them was fantastic (and the dogs loved them!). UnderDogs has very competitive rates without hidden fees and an easy portal for scheduling and cancelations (and are also available via email for last minute cancelations). Our older dog also has special requirements (paw wipes, has to wear a diaper, etc.), and UnderDogs was so accommodating of his needs. Best dog walking service we have found in (and outside) of DC! We requested dog walking services (40 minutes) from Underdogs because my partner was starting a new job and I would be away for a few weeks. Sam and Greg were super responsive, did a meet-and-greet to meet my dog and make sure everything was in order, then set us up on the online interface. It's super easy to use, but when I made a mistake I was able to contact Sam directly via text and he let me know how to resolve everything going forward. The walks themselves were accurate as they are marketed on the website, which includes a walk, treats (if you ask for it), water refills, bathroom breaks, and notes on how the pup did. These report cards are our favorite thing to see after a long day! Thanks Sam and Greg for such a wonderful experience after we just moved to DC. Where to begin. Greg and Underdogs is awesome. He is everything you would want in a small business owner and dog walker. He really takes pride in the service he provides. I knew i was getting my daughter a cocker spaniel puppy for a few weeks, and am new to being a fur mami. Greg was fast to reply to ALL my emails and questions I had. I was referred to the team at UnderDogs from a colleague who moved out of the area. I have two labradors that just turned two, so their energy level is off the charts. Joe, Sam, and Greg have taken such great care of my two boys and at excellent prices and via a great online portal for easy reservations and seamless bill pay. But more than the ease of use, has been the piece of mind. My two labs loved their midday walks with Joe and the other dogs that would accompany them. So much so that on days we had people at the house (eg. Visiting grandparents) we would still have them do their scheduled walk because they enjoyed it so much and the socializing was important. When I went out of town it was so nice to know they had a friendly and convenient place to stay where they received excellent care with minimal time alone. I cannot say enough positive things about Greg! Our dog is a rescue who is very scared of most people. He has never let anyone outside of the family walk him- we've tried other dog walkers before who didn't have enough experience to know what to do about it. Greg came over to meet our pup and within 2 or 3 visits they were out walking alone. Greg is very professional and his services are beyond trustworthy. I was very grateful to of found this service to walk our 2 dogs. We ended up having a friend that is living close by and able to walk our dogs at any time for a very small amount of money do our regular walks. I found out about Greg through a recommendation from a friend who was using him. My dog Tucker is nervous around new people, and is not a big fan of people coming into the house. When Greg came over for the initial consult, I was jabbering away telling him about Tucker's issues, and Tucker just barked a little, smelled Greg and went away and laid down, no issues at all. I was shocked because Tucker is usually a huge pain when people come over. Greg just has a great energy and I think reads dogs really well, and I was so relieved that I had finally found a dog walker who got it.
