Thus, you have to be careful when grooming them because you could damage their undercoat and fur if you use mechanical trimmers. We picked PPPS because of the positive yelp reviews. We booked our pup for an appointment. PPPS uses text to communicate with you and the communication is excellent. PPPS needed vaccine records and many additional details to make sure it was safe for all the other pups at their location. We dropped off Zoey and spoke with the groomer (Bree). Bree was very aware of how to properly groom an Aussie. We had a brief conversation about what we wanted and believed Zoey was in capable hands. When Zoey was done, we got a text to pick her up. I was greeted upon arrival and Zoey was led out to me right away. Zoey looked fantastic!!! Bree groomed her exactly the way we had discussed. Zoey looked even better than I had hoped. I gave Bree a $20.00 tip. When I brought Zoey home and my wife saw her, my wife loved the grooming. My wife's only complaint was that I should have given Bree a bigger tip. I will fix that the next time we bring Zoey in for a groom.

When he was diagnosed with a hereditary eye issue, I was worried about having to board him as he requires eye drops twice a day to keep the condition treated. What we found when we dropped her off was very different. The facility itself is modern, clean, and you can tell the staff care about pets -- that part was obvious and appreciated. The problem was the surprise charges and upsells that only appeared at drop-off and again at pickup. Playtime, walks, and basic activities were all listed as extra charges when we arrived. The supposed "free night" turned into an $80 bill at pickup. Staff told us it must have been a miscommunication with a new employee in training, but that doesn't excuse the lack of transparency. Pros * Clean, up-to-date facility * Staff clearly care about the animals Cons * Misleading phone communication about the "free" night * Numerous hidden fees (playtime, walks, etc.) disclosed only at drop-off * New/poorly trained employees passing on incorrect info to customers If you're thinking about boarding your pet here, be very careful when you make your reservation. Ask for a written itemized estimate that includes everything (playtime, walking, fees) and confirm any "promotions" in writing. Dr Russell performed a near full mouth extraction of teeth leaving Canines for chewing then topping off with antibiotic and steroid injection to facilitate healing. Our cat was almost immediately better. There currently is no more foaming or bleeding that had occurred before Dr Russell performed the surgery. Dr Russell really did an exceptional job. I would highly recommend Dr Russell and Battleground Animal Hospital.

The staff that we have encountered at the Carothers location, is so loving toward our fur babies. I wasn't initially sure that the wellness plan was something that we should do for our almost 14 year old dog, but i am so glad that we did. I was a bit confused by the plan when discussing it during my initial phone call, and decided not to sign up at that time. At our first visit, Dr Pace and the staff (at the Carothers location) were able to answer questions, and explain the benefits more clearly as to how we could tailor the plan to include the things that would benefit each of our pets. Going forward we signed up for the plan, and it has been wonderful. If you encounter something that isn't included in the plan, many times those costs are discounted because of your plan.

I received two follow-up calls from Dr. Moser checking on Gus, plus one from the office staff. Today, 3/16, Gus had his follow-up appointment for the removal of stitches from the cyst site. Dr. Lewis removed the stitches and checked the stitches from the tooth extractions. Dr. Moser popped in to also check on hte stitches. The vets are very caring and welcome questions and concerns. Two week ago, we lost our 15 year old corgi. Dr. Lewis performed the euthanasia along with a staff person. We were present for the procedure. Dr. Lewis explained what was happening at every step. The love that Dr. Lewis and the staff person showed to our dog and to us was amazing. I highly recommend My Pets Willness!
