This park is beautiful, clean, quiet and well maintained. The bathrooms and laundry areas are top notch. Walking paths along the water and seals visiting made our stay memorable. I did remove a star due to the bizarre interaction with staff members. The nosy lady at the front desk was rude and told us "I'm watching you" because we waited an hour to check in. Also we backed into our spot so we could wake up to a view of the water but within seconds the big bad security guy came and corrected us. Apparently that's not allowed, which is really weird. After that we were public enemy number 1 bc the front desk was very accusatory and flat out weird towards us. Side note: the road in is a one way so whenever you leave the park you're forced to drive into town and turn around. Not a big deal but noteworthy read more

The rv park itself is a little meh. It's a very small campsite with spaces close together with no privacy. It felt like there were a lot of longer time residents there with cluttered campsites on our visit. Not really much in regards to amenities, but there are good places to walk, ride bikes, or play sports. Plus sides would be that there is a boat ramp right there, and it's also a short drive to Anacortes. We have also noticed with how hard it is to get campsites these days, this one tends to have more availability. read more

We stay here often. It is such a well kept place. We use the Mert taxi service to go to town. Close to everything & lots of walking trails. Highly recommend. Wonderful RV resort. The Samish Tribe takes great pride in the maintenance if this perfectly clean, attractive and safe park. Nice views of the water. Even the lighted oil refinery is fascinating. Easy proximity to Anacortes for dining, shopoing, and sight seeing. Check out Old Town for strolling, and Cap Dante for panoramic views. Loved everything about the RV RESORT: special,about ok it's to Scott, Jeanette, Megan and the nice lady who gave us a special coin for our PEACE Christmas lights and decorations. Who knew that RVing in mid-December could be such fun! We gathered with the TRAILER TRASH CHRISTMAS folks. FBR let us use the Common Rooms for a fabulous potluck, games and singing Christmas songs. Fidalgo Bay Resort Anacortes, WA I have stayed in these cabins here 2 previous time and found them to be perfect. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans to cook with. The heater was warm and looked like a fireplace. I had no problems with the tv or cable. I have unlimited data on my cell phone plan so I didn't utilize the WiFi here. I had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. I did not find the water supply to be inadequate at all. There was extra storage space in closets in the room and also in the hall to the living room. Both cabins were clean and stocked with dish soap and paper towels. The deck had two chairs to sit and drink coffee in the morning or any time of the day. There was my own BBQ'er and utensils available. The maids did a great job cleaning and were polite. There is a laundry facility on the property with many machines so I didn't have to wait for a machine to become available. This is an RV Park but I noticed newer nicer rv's not old rusty campers or homeless type of tarp camping. This location feels very safe and it was quiet for being at what looked like a full occupancy. I had my own parking space right next to my cabin big enough for two vehicles easy. The grocery store is not even 10 minutes away by car. The office has a small selection of basic food items for purchase it came in handy when I forgot to pick up an item at the store. There is an area specifically for trash and recycled trash it was all clearly marked and I appreciated the designated area for the ashes I created when I BBQ'ed. Sure you have to empty the ashes and clean your dishes upon leaving but I knew that upon arrival so if I didn't like that requirement I could have stayed somewhere else. If you stay here in the cabins you agree to clean up after yourself. That information is not sprung on guests. It wasn't that big of a deal to wash my own dishes and I've done some past traveling where I stayed at apartment like hotels that implement this same rule. I appreciate that these cabins are only about $30 more a night then a hotel but I don't have to share any walls when I rent these cabins like you would in a hotel. Plus it's a full apartment/small house. Yes it's similar to a mobile home but bigger and nicely decorated and if someone wanted some upscale accommodations well this is an RV Park that just happens to also have a hand full of cabins. So if you want five star luxury this may not be the Best fit for you but if you want a place that's quiet, clean, modern, and close to the grocery store, the Skagit Valley tulips, Deception Pass and a ferry to the San Juan's this is a perfect spot for you. Those are the qualities I appreciate about it and why I have returned for the 3rd time. I'd definitely recommend these cabins for a long or short term stay. I'd stay here over a hotel any day! read more

We have visited several times over the past couple of years, as well as have two of our children and their kids in their respective RV's. And it has always been a wonderful experience. For all of us. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with basic items. The paved walkways along the water has been very enjoyable. Everything always looks well maintained, clean and neat. Start with the staff was very friendly. The RV spaces are very small. If I cant open my awning with out hitting the RV next door that is to small of a space. I have never had a sewage dump that you don't hook up to it just drains down a hole in the ground. With the small sights the sewage dump is right next to your neighbors picnic table. Also the camp hosts need to not let campers block the roads with their trucks so you cant get to your sight. The Wi-Fi was the worst I have ever been too. We paid a good price for the RV space have good Wi-Fi. The boat ramp was a joke. read more

Great place - definitely splurge for the waterfront spots - the front of your coach will be just feet from the water with amazing views across the bay. We have seen numerous water birds, great blue herons, and otters so far. Staff is super friendly. Internet is on par for most rv parks - slow but decent connection. The 3 or so mile trail to Anacortes follows the bay and is paved and flat - perfect for even kids to bicycle or a nice long walk for lunch. No services in immediate proximity to the park but the camp store has essentials like prepared foods, smores fixings, and personal care items. When coming make sure you take the first (south) exit for Fidalgo Bay Road because the second exit requires a very sharp turn which we couldn't navigate in our 34 foot coach so we had to go out of the way to turn around. read more

We booked the water view room in the Convention Center for our extended family Christmas gathering & it was perfect! The huge decorated Christmas tree & fireplace made the room warm & inviting. The staff was very accommodating to set up whatever tables & chairs we needed. Our booking included the whole room all day so we didn't feel rushed or pressured to get out at a certain time. We had a large counter area for food & wash-up sink (& access to the commercial kitchen for extra charge) so it was everything we needed. We will definitely consider this again for next year! read more

I like this place, although there are somethings that take away from its appeal. The setting is excellent. Each site is on or very near the water with wonderful views, breezes, and plenty of sunlight. It sits on a great bike/walking trail that goes either out over the water or along the water into town. The prices are good. There is 50amp (they charge for electric on longer stays), cable, wifi, water & sewer. It is close to town. The down sides are that the sites are ill defined gravel with tiny strips of burnt grass and each one has these annoyingly bright lights which you can't control and that shine in the windows at night and blind you when walking around at night. The wifi can be good but also comes and goes and it is often slow enough to lose the connection. It is bad enough that I had to turn my wifi card on and stop using theirs. The staff is good and helpful. read more

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here in the past 5 years, we really like it. This time we were here on the 4th of July and it was a zoo, kids everywhere and parents no where to be found. I'm of the opinion that if you have a rule, then you should enforce it. Apparently there are not rules on the 4th, kids were doing whatever they please, riding bikes and skateboards everywhere and running through our sight. I don't understand why management doesn't make it clear to parents when they check in what the rules are and what the proper RV park etiquette is. Rule #1: DON'T WALK/RUN THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE'S SIGHTS, it's rude. However the next morning most of the families with kids left and it's quite and very pleasant. We would stay here again, but not on the 4th of July. read more

The resort was great! I am totally a fan. The walking trails were great. The grounds were immaculate from the grass to the bathroom/showers. The RV slips were wide and spacious. My family stayed for 5 days and they flew by. I felt very safe to let my kids play out of sight. The clubhouse was great for adults to kids. * The only downside was that did not have a pool. However you can swim Puget Sound but it is very very cold. (it was invigorating) The other issue I had was there was no way to make change for the laundry machines after hours. The staff was accommodating and helpful. 9.0 in my book very nice! read more

We are new to rv'ing and this is our first RV park. We have been here 4 days and will be here another 5 yet. Coming from WI we don't see water surrounded by Mts. The scenery is beautiful. There is a stretch of an oil refinery but we don't really notice it. This is a dog friendly park. We have a small RV so having a bath house was a plus. They have 4 clean bathrooms with showers and a sink counter area to spread everything out. (A plus for us ladies with our shampoos, conditioners, soaps, etc.). The only downside is if you are coming here to work you don't want to rely on the free Wi-Fi. When we first got here it worked good but as the park fills up the Internet gets slower or nonexistent. But, if your on vacation you shouldn't be working-right? There is a laundry room which we will visit soon. We used the club house which has a gas grill, to have a cookout with family. It has indoor and outdoor seating. There is a quiet time from 10pm-7am which is reasonable. Many parks in the area to visit and other things to do. read more

Our first stay over the weekend with our Grandson. The park is very clean, and obviously taken good care of. The water views are great, out of 2 sides of the resort, but the refinery "skyline" takes away the real beauty of waterfront camping. The sites are stacked very close together, and Highway 20, which runs along the cliff above the campground, projects a tremendous amount of highway noise at all hours, aided by the granite cliff behind it that serves to echo noise at a higher volume than you would expect. We liked it for what it was to us, a close campground to the ferry landing for our day trip to Orcas. Probably won't stay here again, too noisy. read more

We stayed two nights in mid-April in the Fidalgo Bay "Resort" cabins. Due to gale-force winds and rain, we spent more time inside our cabin than anticipated. Of course this made internet access and a variety of TV channels important amenities. PROs: Cabins were fairly attractive and appeared clean. Two small electric heaters were adequate to heat the cabin. Except for the sound of the gravel compactor every couple of hours, it was very quiet. CONs: SHOWER - extremely restricted water pressure in the shower, and only a few minutes of warm water before it became ICE cold. Waited 45 minutes for it to be sufficiently warm again. INTERNET - only 2G; intermittent and very weak signal. Although promised, there was NO 5G internet signal -- only an intermittent weak 2G signal. I called the office and was told that someone MAY have been working on it the day before, and she would call me back with more information. I received no call. TV - limited channels. Aside from the major TV networks, there were only a few "children's channels" provided. HOUSEKEEPING - not provided. If clean towels are desired, cabin dwellers must carry their dirty towels to the office and ask to exchange them for clean ones. All accumulated trash and recyclable items must be carried to the dumpsters near the office (also ashes if the grill is used). All dishes must be hand-washed, dried and put away. If these chores are not completed, $60/hr for housekeeping will be charged. CONDITION of cabin - The cheap grade of laminate flooring used throughout appeared in good condition with the exception of the bathroom. Floor planks were separating near the shower and the toilet. Since the shower curtain was 1-2 inches too short, water escaping could not be prevented, and had to be cleaned up after shower. Clock radio did not work (time could not be set). Electric fireplace did not work. I do not recommend this "resort". read more

We had a delightful time at this campground. The sites are pretty tight but everyone was friendly and polite. The views were awesome. There is a walking bike path that goes along the water to town. We used the clubhouse for a family cookhouse and that was a great addition. There is lots to do in the area but this park looked best for older people with large rigs. There are some cute cabins we plan to rent for a family reunion. Would be a great place for this. I would have given five stars but the internet was very very spotty. If you are using it for work, you will have a problem. read more

We camp here every summer but this time was a terrible experience. We booked 2 cabins and 3 RV sites, we were sitting and eating a manager came down and pointing her finger at us "You are done! you guys need to leave now" she said. " your kids is running around. Only one car is allowed each site " she raising her voice. we have 1 car park next to our RV and one between our site and neighbor site. The manager was so rude her name is Valeri asked us to leave the camp immediately !!? we wondered what did we do wrong ? parking wrong place Kids running around? we don't know. We were going to overnight here but liked it so much we spend a second day. We explored Anacortes, took a ferry to Friday Harbor. A very laid-back experience. We don't have a TV but as I recall the Internet was acceptable. read more

I was visiting family in Seattle and joined them on their annual trip to Friday Harbor. This was the first time they stayed at this Resort. Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean, stocked with utensils, a coffee maker with coffee, etc. The bed was comfortable, there was another tv in the bedroom also, and there was a ton of storage. The folks that were there were friendly and very helpful. Free coffee all day?! Amazing . An added bonus was the day we arrived some children were selling homemade cookies and lemonade- delicious! We've stayed here 4 or 5 times, and like the park well enough. It's a campground not a Resort. This time we're not happy campers. We're only staying 2 nights and we're in the full timers sites. Neighbors awning and our slide are about 5 or 6 inches apart. Many coaches have their front wheels off the ground to be level. Old fashion sewer hookups, they don't seal. Cable is a joke 23 channels, only 3 or 4 are clear. Looks like the neighbors on one side have people living behind their trailer in a tent, place is a dump. If you can't get in the East Park save your money and keep going. Walmart would be nicer. There's signs saying to keep dogs off the grass. I don't think there's a blade of grass in the place, mostly dirt and dead weeds. The only green is the weeds where the water spickets leak. Summary, make sure they don't put you in a full timers site. read more

Ok, we've stayed here for many many years and my elderly parents before us when it was in its infancy stage. We own a 40' coach and have stayed in gorgeous resorts in many states. Yes, it's a beautiful location and we will continue to come here which is why I give it 3.5 stars-more for nostalgia. Now for the the real deal....it would NOT be classified as a "resort" with resort amenities; i.e. pool, hot tub, irrigated landscaping/grass, asphalt/concrete pads etc etc. It's a gravel campground, on the water/bay with a club house and very small play ground & limited items in the office but that's it. The entire camp ground is gravel with no concrete, level pads. The "grass" in the camp ground is dry and dead during the summer months-very little effort on landscaping. There's no swimming pool and not even a hot tub. The wifi basically sucks throughout the campground so don't bank on having a working vacay or streaming a movie. The selling point here is the water/bay, and walking/biking trail running through the park into Anacortes-which isnt actually owned by the resort. Unless you are willing to pay $50+ for the premium pull-in water front sites during the high season, you wont see the water from your RV. They charge a premium and will continue to do so because all of us continue to book our sites year after year, sigh. I guess they need some competition from an actual RV "resort" in the Anacortes area. read more

We stayed here over Memorial Day Weekend and really enjoyed the Resort. The resort is very well cared for, the restrooms/showers/grounds/club house were all very clean. The staff we interacted with were all super friendly and helpful. They even came around in a golf cart just as it was getting dark and passed out glow-necklaces and bracelets to the kids. There is a game room stocked with games, pool, ping-pong and more; it closes at 9pm (which felt early, I wanted it to be open later). Our site was a gravel space the width of our RV separated from our neighbors by an approx. 8" strip of grass... so no privacy, but that is common for RV parks. It was easy to pull into and hook up at our site. They provide free cable and Wi-Fi (which worked very well, we were able to watch movies via Netflix). The resort is right on the water, with a beach and views of the City of Anacortes and March Point oil refineries (which my kids said reminded them of Oz). My favorite part was the Tommy Thompson Trail, that runs through the resort and goes east across a trestle to March Point OR west to Anacortes. It's a beautiful, well-maintained walking/biking trail. We rode our bikes into Anacortes, attended the Farmer's Market (Saturday mornings) and explored the town. Others brought their kayaks and paddled around the bay. Bottom Line: Recommended. It's a great location for anyone interested in visiting Anacortes, Whidbey Island, and the San Juan Islands. There is also good shopping 20 minutes away in the Burington/Mount Vernon area. read more

We spent 5 nights in August camping at Fidalgo Bay RV Resort with several friends. It is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! The campground is clean and full of great amenities. Being right on the water, we were able to clam and crab everyday. The last night we were there we celebrated a birthday. Scott, the resort manager came by in his cart around 9:30pm and brought the birthday girl a gift and all of us glow sticks. All the staff is so friendly! I will definitely be back again and again. read more

This is a very nice RV park that is well maintained and has full hook ups. The views are very pretty. Even the oil refinery in the distance looks pretty lit up at night. Great place if you own a dog. Staff is super nice also. I wish there was a pool but that is the only down side. The town of Anacortes is close and trails and other adventures are abundant! What a great place! Right on the water and near a nice bike trail! Not to far from the ferries and close enough to walk to town. The WiFi and bath house were in great condition too. The grounds are quite beautiful and the staff are very nice and accommodating. We got to attend "Fidalgo Bay Day" at the resort and enjoyed some great seafood by local restaurants and tribal members. We stayed two nights here and enjoyed the area immensely. The park management has high standards for cleanliness. The park is tidy, the management and other residents were friendly, and the showers/bathroom were clean. Though the areas between the spaces are not spacious, they are well tended. Nearby is a walking path that takes you two miles into Anacortes in one direction, and a little over a mile the other, bridging the bay where otters and seals play. Some people don't like the refinery across the bay, but it's there -- deal with it. Look the other way. We did not notice any odor from it during our stay. Anacortes is charming, with several nice marinas and restaurants. We would stay here again. read more

This is probably one of the better campgrounds we've been to in a long time. Clean, clean, clean. Our hats off to the entire staff, especially the landscaping crew, for making it and keeping it such an enjoyable place to be. Sites right on the beach front or set back a bit. Walking/bike path runs right through the property. Close to the ferries for the San Juans and Victoria and all the sights to see. Would definately recommend to any camper passing through or wanting to see the area. read more

Fidalgo Bay Resort was the perfect location for our big birthday shindig! Our large and diverse group rented three of the five cabins for two nights. Somehow we were able to please senior citizens, a pre-teen, and a two year old all at the same resort! The cabins seemed brand new, were well stocked, and comfortable. The clubhouse was perfect for our party. We played pool, doubles table tennis, Connect Four, Euchre, giant Chess, and Wii. The two year old blew bubbles on the patio and loved the playground. The senior citizens loved the extras for the disabled and elderly in their Non-Loft cabin. We took long hikes out over the bay on the bike path, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! It was absolutely perfect and we loved it! Two small caveats - The ceilings in the loft are very low. This did not bother our group at all, but you can't stand upright upstairs. Secondly, and this is why I give the four star rating - The beautiful view across the bay is of the Shell Oil Refinery. Every where else you look is stunningly beautiful, but unfortunately there is no hiding that refinery across the bay. I feel bad lowering the rating for this perfect Resort for something they can't control. However, I do think I would've liked knowing about the refinery before we arrived. We will definitely go back and recommend this resort to others! read more
