I have been staying at TT La conner for 2 years as I build my new home in La Conner and my brother John died there in my motorhome at site 133 on Jan. 20, 2025. I have made many friends with the staff and many of the full-time residents have never had a problem until this horrible treatment. I had just checked in and was trying to find site 300 and I had no idea of how to get there in my 33' motorhome flat towing a car with a Road Master Tow Bar and of course it is common knowledge that if backed up without unhooking the car, serious damage can occur to the car, tow bar and motorhome that I had just filled the gas tank with 80 gallons of gasoline. This is very serious as the same model motor home (Bounder) had recently caught fire here and it was destroyed. This guy with a big belly and in a beat up old looking little car and DID NOT have any TT clothing and I had never seen him before this, blocked my motorhome started chasing me thru the park, until I stopped in front of my friend's sites and I got out to check this strangers TT ID only to find out he did not have any! He then got out of his car and went crazy in front of my new rear camera with color and sound and said "I am getting in your face and you are being kicked out of the park, leave now, go get out, go now leave and kept repeating this aggressive and threating behavior that escalated the situation putting his finger way to close to my face and escalating the situation that was witnessed by many other people and it appeared that he had a young girl in the car. I thought I was having a heart attack, seriously, I then drove swiftly to the Ranger Staton to report this person for enforcing TT rules and not being an employee per TT rules. Upon arriving at the Ranger Station my motorhome was surrounded by my friends and TT employees in golf carts and the guy in the car and then they all huddled around his car, and I watched and heard them on my rear cam getting their story straight with the "Bad Ass" (her words) manager Kelly King, I was shocked by this protocol due to my previous experience. Officer Hockenberry from Swinomish P.D. arrived at the scene and stated that guy that was harassing me did work there and that it was just a misunderstanding and it was my choice I could stay at the park or leave, I was so upset and disgusted that I decided to leave and seek medical help. I had Heart Surgery Sept 30, 2025, at Everett Providence Cardiac Surgery Center by Dr Sharma at the cost of $100,000. The next day while recovering in my MH at this park I was surprised by my friend a TT employee parked his golf cart and served me the unsigned notice that I was kicked out for 60 days with Kelly Kings name at the bottom but No signature, which does not appear to be legal in Washington State, in my opinion. Kelly was very devious 6 times when I requested the name and employee status of this vicious guy with the big belly so I could file a complaint and most likely legal action. The next evening a Red Corvette was going the wrong way at high rate of speed and parked at the lodge and jumped in a white car that left at a high rate of speed going the wrong way. Then my friend Officer Hockenberry came in hot pursuit of the Corvette stating he clocked it 80 mph on Snee Oosh near the Fire Station, how did this happen with a locked gate? I have recorded 8 vehicles going the wrong way and several exceeding the 5-mph speed limit, minors driving cars alone. In my observation, Kelly should focus on the many current problems and not be persuaded by an insecure salesman trying to play the "Ego driven, Big Man Wanna be Cop" in my observation and opinion. I have talked to my friends who are legality employed by TT and always have easily identifiable TT logo clothing and TT trucks or golf carts none of them thought this over reaction was not justified. read more

This campground is in a lovely location. Our recent good experience needed more than just a good location, though, which we also had in the friendly staff, friendly campers/guests, both short and long-term, a native American style Lodge house for relaxing, as well as fun events, a convenience well appointed Store with a nice selection of gifts and snacks, complementary popcorn and coffee, plus slushy drinks, and hotdogs. A small exercise room looked clean and was used by several people during our stay. Well lit at night if you need to walk your dog at late hours, and poop bags with a dedicated trashcans available by grass areas. Though we did not personally use the spa, it was large, clean, no overwhelming chemical smell, and maintained daily. Though specific sites cannot be selected ahead of time, you can book a full site and the check-in person will do her best to find you something available that meets your needs. The laundry room was closed due to septic issues according to the sign, but hopefully will be reopened. The machines appear to be on an app basis so I don't know that quarters are required anymore. The sites had clean tables, convenient fire pits, though the trees could have used some additional trimming to allow more room above the RV, as well as room to open the awning and set up chairs. There are quite a few older negative reviews so we were concerned about what we'd find, but ended up being very pleasantly surprised and will definitely come back. We hope more recent reviews will be posted to let the staff and others know what is working and what needs improvement. On our way out, we stopped by the membership office for some helpful catalog material, and there was no hard sell, just offers for information if and when we need it, and appreciation that we were guests and encouragement to return. read more

I few months ago, I got online and procured a site for the weekend. I printed out the map and circled the sites I was interested in. Was already disappointed to find out it was first come first serve. This means that after you forfeit your dough, you do NOT get the pick of the site. Not all sites have full hook up and it's like chop suey, you never know what you are going to get. Upon entry I pulled off to the side and rode my electric scooter around to look for a site that is befitting for me. Most of the good sites were taken with a few sites closed off for maintenance. Those good sites had family and dogs, which spell's disaster for someone who is looking for peace and quiet. I settled on a blackberry carved-out site. I sat there contemplating on leaving. 20 minutes later as I about to leave and therefore eat the 70 bucks I spent on this site I rolled pass something I could work with, so I backed in and started to set up. It was ok. Up until I found the fermented smell of dog shit buried under the dried out leaves. A brand new fire pit laid there just wanting to find its way in the back of my truck but reluctantly it didn't happen. The site turned out ok. My stuff was fully dusty as the roads aren't paved, the site I was in had partial hook ups as evident of the dog shit. Overall for the travel and the disappointing lack of paying early to hopefully get a good site that overlooks the water wasn't there, I will not be coming back. I did have the most delicious prime rib I hadn't had in ages in Laconner, so all was for not,I guess. read more

Overall the location is amazing! Absolutely beautiful beaches. My negative really comes down to some of the people there. Perhaps they are the more "permanent" residence. Do NOT go 5 MPH. GO 2! We got yelled at when we were going 5. They were right at the entrance from the gate. It happened again around the corner. We were going 5 mile an hour. The next complaint, and I really need to be straight forward, would be when I was in the restroom facility and there was a guy in the bathroom stall smoking either heroin, fentanyl, or crack. Having worked with people like this it was obvious of the sound of the air sucking through the straw and the lighter flicking. The actual lots are kind of small. We have a travel trailer and sadly the section we were in did not have full service. Just electric. And I understand why. It's near the shore. Some lots have full hook up. I am kind of saddened by the first come first serve. You really don't know what you will get. And there are a LOT of permanent residents and it makes it feel less remote. The boat ramp is pretty beat up and broken with exposed rebar. Personally, I enjoyed the place but saddened by the older "not on my lawn" folks that played police even when we were seriously respecting and following all rules. It really made it feel uncomfortable. The hot tub was nice and the convenient store was great. And again, the location is absolutely AWESOME! I hope the staff gets on the permanent residence to be less "grumpy police" and then it might be more welcoming to allllllll. I have to mention that the permanent resident next to us had a full security system on their RV and it was pointed right at us. THAT was uncomfortable. You could see the infrared lights at night. I give two stars because the full time residents, lot size, limited full hook up, and seriously beat up boat ramp. Other then that...4 Stars! That location is amazing. read more

This is a year around camp ground. The spots are spacious & provide electronic & water - only a few with sewer are ever open. Lots of activities to do for families & children. Playground, mini golf, ping pong, hot tub (no pool). Hot private showers. The down side is lately the mini golf has not been taken care of and it can be difficult to get a nicer spot in the weekends. This location is a little bit away from LaConner but it is centrally located to both LaConner and Anacortes. read more

This is a place that time seemed to forget! From the path getting to this location to wondering around and familiarizing yourself with the well-placed tent, RV and cabins, one can see why it is well used year-round. Yet so well cared for that you might never know just how much this high use site is actually used. Getting here from the I-5 La Conner exits maybe a bit of a chore, most suggest the I-5 Anacortes exit right to the gates. The two-lane road is full of older trees and wildlife so leave with plenty of time and don't forget your camera! There is something for every outdoor enthusiast, from walking by the bay to biking and hiking the trails. The food scene will not disappoint either! Anacortes and La Conner boasts farm to table almost year-round. Anacortes has many types of restaurants to choose from. Most of the Thousand trails parks have first come first serve spaces available, both with and without full hookups and some other spaces depending upon your level. Most all of the RV hookups have water and electric, but not all of them will have sewage. To help with this situation, you can bring your portable hookup and travel it to and from your space as needed or just sparingly use your tanks and dump them as needed at the dump station. For this site they are located just outside of the gate for convenience. There are different yet the same things at the various parks around Washington and most likely the rest of the states, we just have not gotten there yet. At this particular park we would see no swimming pool but there is a tennis court, mini golf and hot tub all in their own locations. Bring your own clubs or borrow some from the sign in area at the gate. This park is great for getting away from it all just as much as it is to have the kids and family members, and while we stayed multiple times during the summer's past, any and all the park care takers were more than ready to take care of anything we needed, all that they asked of us was to ask of them what was needed. Horrible Experience, just Terrible. Restrooms and Showers closed, only one or two working!!! All but 1Dump Station Closed, even though the Park was full. Trash Cans Overflowing for days and days, spewing out of the dumpsters and surrounding areas. Yet the staff riding around on their golf carts apparently can't be bothered picking up random shoes, socks, shirts, jackets trash etc, much easier to just drive over it then attempt to bend over their bulging stomachs and do their job. Cabins were filthy. The carpet was so spotted and stinky, I wouldn't let farm animals on it, let alone my grandchildren. Dogs Barking all night long, yet no response from TT Staff as there were No Rangers on Duty through the night, unavailable to respond to Emergencies. Police eventually called, but they couldn't intervene as the Park Ranger was questionably absent from their position!!! I wonder how many times this happens. Iran, the salesperson had "Bronchitis " but insisted on still meeting with folks, at something of a distance, whatever he has/had, he should NEVER been at work or in the company of others. Unruly children running you down with their bicycles, at break neck speed. Two men in a fishing boat close to shore continuously trying to persuade our 13 year old granddaughter and her 9 year old brother become aboard and have ice cream!!! If not for the kindness of a fellow camper intervening, who knows the outcome. In summary, be careful, be prepared to clean up BEFORE and after your visit, keep a close eye on your children and bring extra trash bags. But really, at such a lovely destination Sad the Staff is so careless. read more

This RV park does a pretty brisk business when the weather warms up so I am it sure why they haven't put more into updating their severely dated and run down facilities. What this park has going for it is its unbeatable location. The park is on a point that juts into Skagit Bay. It is so quiet and beautiful and I can never get enough time on their beach. We have our own shower in our trailer so we can just enjoy the setting of this park. I also love that it is a 5 min drive to cute La Conner and all of its restaurants and shops. This would be a great area to bring a bike and just park the car too. It is such a great place for winter camping due to our mild climate. I'm sure it's also great for summer camping too and I'll have to try that. Thousand Trails won't let you reserve specific sites, like one with with a water view and or full hookups/sewer (you'll pay the same rate no matter what kind of site you end up with). It's first-come first-served, which penalizes people who are working and looking for a short getaway. Great for retirees I guess, and the families who appeared to be living there on a longer term basis. Not sure what the long term prognosis is for this RV park but I will keep coming back for their. read more

No 50Amp, no sewer, minimal satellite reception, no cable, and no specific site reservations accepted and most sites with no views. There are a very few pull through and sewer sites ( all taken by permanent residents) Can I say more? I guess if you are a member of 1000 Trails it might make sense to take advantage of the membership per night discount. Will definitely not return. read more

First off I want to say we have been going to this camp ground for about 6 years now and it is going down hill every year. This was the last straw for us staying there. NEVER again. Last year it was $80.00 a night this year it was $90.00. I talked to a couple other people that paid $72.00 a night when I told the customer service on the phone they told me that "you know how airlines change their prices" that what we do. Bullshit. Hotels don't do that crap. This is the most run down camp ground I have ever stayed in. Too many people living there. I could not trust my granddaughter to walk around by herself. Shit I was nervous walking by myself. They have septic problems so not all the bathrooms are open and you can't dump your trailer when you leave. At $90.00 a night my gawd. We were told when we came in to not leave anything valuable in our truck, boat or even outside our trailer that right there tells you a lot. Lots of people rooming around at night. Going through ice chest and who knows what else. There is a lot of sketchy people living there. The tribe owns this camp ground but Thousand Trails does not keep it up at all. Are all the Thousand Trails this bad? I would give this place a 0 if I could. The boat ramp is trash. read more

Just stayed for a week and a half and loved the location, just a short bike ride to town, and how close it was on the water. We lucked out with two good sites (we moved), but it's quite the battle to get a sewer site and people are walking every morning to check who's leaving and when so they can get a different site. They do have an on-site dump and the bay views, amazing sunsets, and jacuzzi made up for it all. Sure, it's a little outdated, but we had a great stay, even played mini golf, and would highly recommend staying if you're a Thousand Trails member. read more

It's ok! Hardly any staff on site and a lot of partiers and loud music in the evening. NO swimming pool at all... just a hot tub that is ok. Lots of dog poop not getting picked up. Expect a lot more for the money you pay!! Restrooms need to be cleaned ALOT more!!!!! read more

Staff provided a list of available water & electric sites during check-in. The ranger even put our name on the list for a future FHU site. Great start! We chose site #47, dropped our jacks put out slides and then the power completely died after 20 minutes. ACK! So then we had to start our generator to pull in the slides, then retract the jacks unhook water etc. Our next step was to hightail it down the road to very small and unlevel site #58. Nightmarish setup that involved multiple blocks and a whole lot of headache. I then turned in the registration card and another ranger said "oh yeah I think we already have a maintenance request for site 47." HUH? Well then why were we told it was fully functional and available? Good grief! We later discovered that only 40 of 330 total RV sites have sewer connections, and half of the 40 are taken up by annual members. The overall lack of FHU sites was very frustrating. Campground is supposed to charge a daily $10.78 fee per guests but they let ours come in for free. Well at least that is something! Blazing fast free wifi at the Lone Tree Lodge. Lodge itself is closed but you can sit outside on picnic tables. Restrooms 1 and 4 are rather small and old in appearance. Restroom 5 was our favorite as it had the largest showers and appeared to be relatively recently remodeled. Staff interaction was a mixed bag. Brittany was very abrasive and borderline rude. She could definitely use some additional customer service training. Kat was very friendly and empathetic after learning about our site 47 meltdown. Beach area is beautiful during low tide. No kayaks or canoes available for rent. Onsite store is supposed to be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but it closed early during our stay. Recycling is available onsite. read more

Was really excited to try out thousand trails. Have found that for the yearly fee, there is a lot of repair needed. Play ground is small and looks like ready to fall down. Have been to KOA campgrounds and they are by far cleaner, well kept and more family oriented. Sad to see when the funds don't go back into the parks. It is a first come first serve with the membership, which is really hard when you have a 40 ft rig. I will gladly pay the fee to reserve the sites. read more

We recently bought a new 5th wheel and were given a year membership to the Thousand Trails campsites. Decided to try it out for the first time at La Conner. There were some pros about this place but a lot of cons too. It is first come, first served. Had we of not gotten there at 11:30am on a Friday we probably wouldn't have found a site big enough for our 40' trailer. Most of the sites were over grown with brush and vines. We did luck out and got a nice large site that someone had just vacated. The downside, it was super un-level and needed some gravel brought in. Our friends who came later got a site a few spots away which was lucky on their part because it was just one rig after another rolling in. There seemed to be a lot of "full time" or permanent residents there. Some were neat in their appearance and some were not. The rec buildings need a facelift, but I guess they have waited around for so long that the vintage/retro style is starting to come back. The bathrooms that I visited were very clean, but I didn't check out the showers. My daughter loved the playground sets on the grounds! Our boys had a fantastic time riding their bicycles until dark and exploring the beach. They even participated in a water balloon fight. We had a chance to observe an awesome sunset Friday night. Putt putt was fun too for the family. Overall, I'm not sure we will go back due to the first come first serve status and the overall size of our rig. The families did have a wonderful time together though. read more

This campground is a gorgeous place to spend some time! We didn't have the best site, because the park was quite full, but the grounds are gorgeous. Most of the sites have plenty of room and nice privacy vegetation in between. It is right on the Skagit Bay, and some of the sites overlook the water. The lodges are large and kept clean. The WiFi is good, as was cell service. There are LOTS of things to explore in the area, from Oaks Harbor, to the quaint little town of La Conner, there are ferry rides out of Anacortes to explore the San Juan Islands, and the famous Deception Pass is nearby. I intended to take my inflatable kayak out on the bay, but it had a leak, so I couldn't do that. Maybe next time, as that seems like an awesome experience to have! read more

The view from the family center out to the bay is amazing. The place is clean. The staffs and friendly and helpful. Wonderful lunch bbq with healthy options such as salmon, chicken, and veggies burgers. Gresy activities line up. Good mobile phone reception, especially in the family center. 3 miles from down town LaConner. The only thing I wish is that they have more sewer site. Very good place to stay. La Conner RV Park is huge, sprawling, and very popular. I came in on 4th of July weekend, and it was full to the brim. I understand its popularity: It has a lovely, well-wooded situation overlooking Rosario Strait. it has all the amenities that today's family campers expect, except a swimming pool. And it provides easy access to attractions for a day's excursion: La Conner, Deception Pass, the Skagit County Tulip Festival every spring, whale watching and other activities out of Anacortes. It was a good place for my family to meet for a few days. From my perspective, however, newly launched as I am into a life of living in and towing a fairly large (38') trailer, there were aspects of the park that disturbed me: * The park does not provide for mail service. They tell you to send to La Conner general delivery. For campers out for a week or two, this is no problem, but for full-time travelers like me, it was inconvenient. * It's hard to get details about local facilities. The park is understaffed, and might not return phone calls. * Although the park accommodates big rigs like mine, it is not well suited to them. * There are only a very few pull-through sites. Don't expect to find one. * They do not closely manage who parks where. It's first-come-first-served. Although such a policy seems easy-going, it has the consequence that many of the sites suitable for big rigs are filled with small rigs taking advantage of larger spaces. Of course the policy allows a camper to move into a better site when it opens up, and I did, but moving my trailer to a site with a sewer hookup was a half-day affair (remember: I'm a newby) that I would have preferred to avoid. * The sewer situation was another annoyance. Only about a third of the sites have sewers, and many of those are taken up by permanent residents. That, together with the first-come-first-served policy, means that finding a site with full hookup on a popular weekend is unlikely, even if you reserve in advance. Reservations don't guarantee full hookups. * Another consequence of the first-come-first-served policy is that many big-rigs are tucked into sites a little too small for them, and whatever towed or towing vehicle they use for local driving sticks out into already narrow lanes, making navigation of big rigs even more difficult difficult. * This is especially a problem for new arrivals. Since the office doesn't know for sure what sites are available, I had to wander through a maze of narrow lanes, looking around for a site I could fit into. All in all, although I enjoyed my family time at La Conner RV Park, I will probably not return. At least I will spend a lot more time exploring alternatives before I do. read more
