I know when I look to health grade sites, they're not particularly helpful. That being said, Dr. Falls is a wonderful psychologist, and I've been with plenty. He's a great listener, and his demeanor is very relaxed and laid back, which at least for me, helps me feel more comfortable with talking. He is also the founder and director of a program called "Kids Off Chemicals" which is a drug and alcohol treatment program for teens. So, if you're in the market for a new psychologist, check this guy out.

I first went to see him because my child (an adult, really) was not "launching in life" the way I thought should be happening. Mark helped me enormously with this issue (which was practically consuming me), as well as many others, which has made my life richer, happier and healthier. He is a caring, intelligent person, not overly touchy-feely like some therapists I've had, and not afraid to try and get me to look where I'd rather not. I've also brought my child and husband to some appointments when we were needing group therapy and Mark was very skilled at that as well. I cannot recommend him enough.

When we wanted to wind down, the therapist told us it didn't work. After doing more research on exposure therapy, it became clear to us that the therapist had no idea what she was doing and only did the laddering, or very first steps, of the treatment. To give the FACILITY a bad review because you didn't like the "sales pitch" is just mean spirited. I am a child advocate who was able to enroll a boy at Giant Steps because GS was kind enough to wave the fee due to financial hardship - as a ward of the court with delinquent parents this child would otherwise have had no chance to experience the benefits of the program. The facility, trainers, and horses are top notch. I can personally attest to the positive influence this center had on at least one child with emotional/behavioral problems.

Currently (just from reading the review), it seems a vindictive lashing out at an organization that may prove beneficial to our community. Granted, they seem to have screwed over the person's daughter. However, even then I'm not convinced, since in my experience the acceptance of a senior project was at my school's discretion, not some outside party. (I assume the organization put some age restriction on the volunteer opportunities; which would seem odd until we consider that they deal with (potential?) mental health problems; in which case I'm sure there are many people out there adamant that minors should not be subjected to attempting to assist potentially dangerous (to themselves or others, physically or emotionally) individuals. In summation, the 1 star review before mine is from someone who has no actual experience with aid this organization may actually facilitate (much like myself). I knew I needed more to be fully prepared and ready to partake in this life changing and sacred event. Susan's class filled that void and thensome! Books (& hospital courses) can only get you so far. The Birth Journey course gave me plenty of opportunities to look deeper into my fears, expectations, hopes, and appreciation of the birth process. The course helped me get in touch with the psychological, emotional, and spiritual sides of birth --that are sadly so often ignored. It also gave me practical tools to use while birthing...dealing with pain and the awareness of what my body and baby were going through. I highly recommend this experience. It was also very valuable to interact with and hear from the other participants. Susan managed to jam-pack those 9 sessions with lots of useful information. She is a gifted, highly experienced, teacher. We had a wonderful home birth and I know this course and Susan's guidance helped us do so.

As for the negative reviewer below: Admittedly, the course is not designed for someone who is seeking to only learn how to undergo "modern techniques" such as pain killers and C-section. As that reviewer recommends: those are taught in his ascribed "hospital based" courses. I also encourage readers discouraged by that negative review to read his other reviews...which are mostly 1 stars of local business. I sense a troll looking for make-it-right handouts and refunds...

I'm so glad that they offer little toddler (1year+) friendly specific sessions!…read more I just wish that they were open everyday on those specialty sessions or have more events going on here focusing on toddlers. I would definitely sign up! I'm glad it's in the mornings to get my toddler's energy out and about. He runs, jumps, climbs and moves about. It's nice that they have a couple of parachute instructor led activities during the 45 minutes play. It helps with my toddler following some sort of social structure with other kids and learning some direction. There is so much space, fun supplies for toddlers to do and I adore the other room as well. They even do stamping on the way out. It's a wonderful finishing touch to the whole session!
