SCAM SCAM SCAM They called me and told me I was approved for a PPP loan. I told the that's impossible because that's over now. There is another loan I'm trying to get but I don't qualify for due to my address. The rep there then told me .. psst no problem.. he than asked me 5 questions and said... ohh no problem your account manager will take care of it... trust me. So I paid and waited almost 1month and finally I called the first gentelman I spoke to as I had his cell phone. He said the account manager already emailed me and she got me approved. So i opened the new email and she's telling me to just fill this out and don't worry about it ... that i'm approved. Also she say's : "if you want i'll just fill it out for you if you want tomorrow, I fill out most applications (highly illegal). I asked her if my address was going to be a factor as I expressed from the 1 initial call and she said NO.. your approved. OK, so i filled it out and then DECLINED due to address,. I emailed , called, texted, everything and nobody will return my money, calls, texts, nothing. You guys are not just stealing from people your stealing from people that are in financial trouble, that are literally broke or run down due to covid. And to fill out the applications for people is illegal. Whats even more illegal is to take a payment upfront before services are rendered (unless your an attorney) and you are clearly not. This company is a fraud as defined by the SBA oversight committee. For this reason I stopped working with them. First, they charge a $300 to $400 "membership" fee to find grants and other programs that you are eligible for, all of which are available on the SBA website. Second, they have a minimum $500 fee for each and every funding they obtain. In my case, the SBA loan amounted to $4,400 roughly according to the correspondence they have from the lender, which means I would be paying $500 at minimum (with the discretionary ability to go as high as $2,495, arbitrarily, this is spelled out in their service agreement). which means I would be looking at a MINIMUM 11.36% fee IN ADDITION to the $299 fee they charged for membership, just to get this PPP loan. The SBA lays out criteria for loan fees here; https://www.sba.gov/sites/default/files/2020-03/SA2001.pdf The SBA lays out a limitation of a 3% fee for loans up to $50K, these guys are charging almost 4x as much NOT FACTORING in the subscription fee of $300. This operation is clearly a scam, the PPP loan process only takes 15 minutes yet they are charging enormous amounts of money for basically services that can either be obtain for a fraction of the price, or are easily accessibly and executable by the average citizen. read more

We heard of this company from another small business in our area and wasted no time signing on for their help in finding grants. Some time goes by and we're told by the same person to avoid this company because they are a scam. I emailed my account person because I had not heard from her since the initial payment to them. She wasn't responding so I call their number and explain that I'm now worried. The woman on the phone didn't even seem surprised. Spoke to Omar and he let me know my original account manager no longer worked for the company. I ask him if we can have just a little more communication so I'm not left in the dark. A quick email once a week to let me know there aren't any grants for me would suffice. Weeks go by and I'm not hearing from Omar. I send an email to someone named Shannon, not sure what she does, but I'm concerned and want my $400 back. Omar calls me with the same story about my original account manager no longer working there. He completely forgot that he already spoke to me! I tell him I want a refund or I will be taking this to my bank. He says he doesn't understand why I don't want them to at least try getting me some money but he'll have someone call me who will only try to persuade me to stay. Strange customer service, but whatever. Get a call from a woman telling me a Clark County grant opened which sounds strange because I'm not located in Clark County but sure let's give it a try. I look into the eligibility for this county grant and sure enough, businesses located in Las Vegas (me) are not eligible. I email my new account manager, Kiana, that I am not eligible for this grant because I am not located in Clark County. She thinks we can work around this by using my home address but I don't live in Clark County, I live the City of Las Vegas. She responds with, "We've been in contact with this program and they stated that anybody in Las Vegas is eligible. We will be moving forward with the application." I had to send her the direct link to the county's website and two screenshots where Clark County specifically says businesses located in Las Vegas are not eligible for this grant. I ask for just a little communication and they tell me they have so many clients that they cannot possibly email we with updates. Omar will tell you he will do something but does not follow through or even remember speaking with you. The day I email Shannon asking for a refund they all of a sudden have an open grant that I'm eligible for, but that's just another one of their lies. Kiana keeps emailing me to press for more information from me so she can process this application and is not listening when I tell her I will not apply for something that I am not eligible for. Because I started my company in January of 2020, I was told that I would not be eligible for any of the SBA programs. It would have been nice for them to tell me before I got started. Today, I cancelled my account after a year of no success. It only took me 5 calls and 3 emails to cancel. I am told I still need to have my cancellation approved by a vice president at the company. The VP got right back to me and after reviewing my case and there being so little that was done, he elected to refund my initial payment. The process was extremely fast and well organized. they informed me ahead of time exactly what information I would need, and the timeline. Then in the middle of the conversation I had to put a card on file for a $495 fee to even talk with someone other then the person that called me. Why did it go from nothing up front to $495? As a struggling business during this time I was taken for a ride. The ppe program was not offered for sole proprietors. This company told me the laws had changed and I was entitled to the ppe. For a fee of $299. 4 weeks later. They said I had been approved for $22000. Then they wanted an $1800 processing fee. I asked for some documentation that said it was approved. They sent me a payment release form only. I called again, they said they're still waiting for the forms. Huh? Didn't you say it was approved already? Needless to say I refused to sign or to pay the $1800. 1 day later there's a fake check deposited into my account for $1800. First I had called them just to inquire about the loan process and I had a few questions on how to go about doing that. Ok, let's start with the good and then get to all the bad. (And you can also jump to the last paragraph to find out where to find and apply for all these programs on your own) The Good: The company alerted me to the fact that there are potential grants at the Federal, State, County and City levels and for that I am thankful. Also the people there are pleasant to speak with and come off as being upfront and honest (but keep reading below). And lastly, I did get my payment refunded, albeit after wasting a significant amount of my time. The Bad: First off when they cold-call, they represent themselves as "Fidelity" not "Fidelity Pandemic Relief Services". This gives the impression that they are affiliated with Fidelity - the reputable financial services company. But they are not. Next, and this is my MAJOR COMPLAINT, they (specifically Jessica) assured me multiple times before signing on with them that there was only a one time fee ($399) and that there were never any additional fees of any sort. So I went ahead and paid the half of the fee upfront and expected to pay the rest after funding. Then I went through the steps of sending them many of my sensitive documents and getting set up, only to be told that there was a SERVICE AGREEMENT needing to be signed. This agreement stated that THERE WOULD BE ADDITIONAL FEES BETWEEN $500 - $2500 FOR EACH GRANT THAT THEY GOT FUNDED. This was in addition to my $399 initial fee. !!!! WHAT!!! NO WAY!!! Additionally the agreement asked me to indemnify them...basically meaning that I cannot hold them liable for anything (such as completing the applications inaccurately). NO WAY!! From there, the head underwriter, Kristen also provided me information that I believe to be totally inaccurate and misrepresentative (unless they are doing some really shady things) . Two examples: 1) She told me the California State Grant was around $20 - $30 thousand dollars - I have since found the details/application myself and for a business like mine that makes less than $100K a year, the grant amount is actually limited to $5k. 2) Kristen also told me that (as the business owner) I could pay myself a $100k salary per year from the PayrollProtectionProgram (PPP) and that it is forgivable. As I looked into this, it appears the amount you can pay yourself (and be forgiven) is based on the amount you paid yourself in 2019 (pre-pandemic). That makes a lot more sense to me, and seems a lot more moral and above board. From there my other complaints are just that it probably took me an hour to get them to refund my money. They gave me some BS about having to review the recorded calls. BTW only one of the multiple calls I was on, was I ever told it was being recorded. Then I was told that they wanted to refund me by a different method than I paid (so they didnt have to pay the credit card company a $20 fee). Well, they did refund me via Paypal, but my business ended up having to pay a fee to accept the payment...how uncool is that! Ok lastly I would like to share where I found resources for the Federal, State, County and Local Grants (and loans) that are available. For me all I had to do was go to the City of San Diego website (where I live). https://www.sandiego.gov/economic-development/resources/relief That had all the resources in one place and tells you that the (SBDC) Small Business Development Center (of which there are many locations) can help you apply for these programs if you need the help. So there you have it! Best wishes and do be aware that the application timelines for these programs varies and sometimes they open and close the application window to apply. When you get a call from someone and it is from not only a different number but a different area code as well, you should automatically know it is a scam. I have received PPD monies and I know how it works. They ask for all the correct info but was "rejected" for a reason that demonstrated a total lack of understanding of our corporate structure. I was willing to pay someone else to do this simply because I was too busy and their sales folks are VERY good. The follow up after they get you fee is not as professional. Now, I sent something to the BBB and no more than after I hit the send key I am getting emails and calls. The problem is it is after 6:30 in the evening. I am at home and with my family. I never accept a random call but for some reason Thomas Hyde, Fidelity rep peaked my interest since I was always thinking of the possibility that I could get some economic relief for my small business. My wife was adamant that this was a ruse and I'd be throwing away $399 ( the front money they required). Since their offices were an hours drive from my house I decided to visit their offices. I was pleasantly surprised, first they actually existed, ha ha!! Nice set up, I met the staff and signed up. My wife still reluctant to admit she was wrong until the two loans I applied for came through and we're waiting on two grants still pending. THIS IS BAD NEWS, BEWARE! I sighed up for their grant program. They called and called me to sign up, when I did I never heard a word again. Kiana and Kesha where who I was supposed to correspond with. They lead you on anytime you reach out. They told be over and over again I could not opt out of the program and get my money back. The contract states: if you do not receive any funding for 6 months your fee will be refunded. I asked for my money back over and over again, it was not until I threatened to take them to small claims court did they finally refund my fee.
