The service was fine. The food was ok. Prices are good. They have darts and tvs. I would say it's a decent-ish dive bar. Especially if you like to smoke when you wake up or while you are eating or while breathing. The clientele was nice as well and provided other recommendations on where to get food. I said "excuse me ma'am" in a polite tone and the bar tender turned around and said "okay you can leave", upset that we had interrupted her conversation, rather than inquiring anything about why I had attempted to grab her attention. Food was mediocre at best and I could not finish my food. Incredibly flavorless and was not worth the price. Even after taking it to go for my lunch the next day I could not finish the meal. Ambiance of the bar was okay. It was a run of the mill sports bar but it lacked any meaningful ownership of the business. Seems like the whole building was just thrown together. Smokey, divey, maybe a little trashy (not necessarily in a bad way). First time here and they are out of fries on a week day at 3:30.... oh well chips look good (handmade potato chips kinda greasy). Lots of dirty old men at the bar, all regulars it seems, and that's about it. I wonder what this place looks like when/if it "pics up" I'll never know. Food was not great but I choked it down because I was hungry. Tap beer was sour but I drank it anyway. Lol. Condition of the decor and facilities was mediocre to poor. I typically love dive bars but sadly this place did not do it for me. :( Food was really what caused this to be a 2-star review. Terrible on all counts. The draft beer I had was refreshing and the service was alright, so that's what saved it from just 1 star... Beer selection on draft could have been much better. I ended up getting a shock top which is a totally tasty beer, but I was hoping for maybe some other options... Service was decent, the bartender was our server and he answered all of our questions. Sadly, though, when things started to pick up a bit, we had to walk over from where we were sitting to the bar to get his attention, since the bar itself was starting to fill up and we did not have a waitress to assist. It was probably a lot of work for just one dude, so yeah... I left him a good tip though since he was clearly trying to wait on a bunch of people at once and get drinks for everyone...can be a daunting task. The food was really awful. I had the tacos and Sean opted for his usual bacon cheeseburger with fries. He said the fries were only "OK" and the burger was extremely overcooked. He wanted it medium and even specified that when ordering, but the inside was completely cooked and tough and chewy... sad face. :( The tacos were unbearably salty and also spicy... I had made it a point to clarify that the tacos weren't spicy prior to ordering, so IDK if it was just a different person cooking that night or what... but they added SO much salt to the meat, it was all I could taste. Any other flavor was completely indistinguishable as my tongue was assaulted with salty & spicy (which some may like - but definitely not me.) The sour cream it came with barely did anything to alleviate this. They did not have guacamole when I asked for it which didn't bother me, but just worth noting in case you were hoping to order some. Also worth nothing - when I'd first walked in, I did not even realize the place allowed smoking at first because it honestly did not smell like it at all. Maybe a little bit outside but I figured it was non smoking inside and the smokers just congregate outdoors and that is why it smelled that way outside and not inside. But alas. After about 15 min or so inside, people nearby started to light up and the smell became unbearable. Shame on me for not asking I guess... but yeah, I was kinda surprised because there is a smoking ban in St. Peters, but this place is apparentlyyyy *technically* right on the cusp of St. Charles/St. Peters county so because they're not on the St. Peters side of it, they are allowed to have smoking. Which, hey, if you are a smoker - rejoice! But if you aren't and the smell bugs you, you may want to reconsider... they do have a patio but it was kind of chilly that night so decided to just endure the smoke for a little while to get some grub. The only positive I can say is that (unlike at another bar I recently just tried for dinner) my clothing did not reek later on after leaving... so maybe their ventilation is marginally better than the other place or could just be due to the fact that they had all the windows open that night down on the end of the bar with the pool table.... read more

It's a tiny little place but very reasonably priced and a friendly atmosphere. The food I had this visit was one little pulled pork slider and a pizza. I'd say the food was 3 star maybe 3 and 1/2. Not haute cuisine but superlative bar food. The slider was tasty but nothing outstanding. The pizza had a very good flavor and pretty decent crust. Maybe could have stayed in the oven 60 more seconds. I really did like it, maybe not as much as say, Pirrones but all in all, very tasty. The place was hopping on a Saturday night. Had live music that started at 8. Didn't catch the bands name but they were not a bad bar band. I only stayed until 8:30 but I sensed that it would get a little crazier later. It's hard to explain but while they won't make it big, they were a good fit for a place like this-just entertaining. They were playing 90's and 2000's rock with a mostly 20's-early 30's crowd. Yeah I was the old fart at the bar. :) Lot's of big screens and various games on TV. The staff was super friendly. Everyone I observed was happy and making the guests happy. My bartender was Kelly and she was 5 star, a great ambassador for the business. Very engaging and attentive. I'll certainly be back again. Just remember, it's a bar that serves food, not a restaurant that serves drinks. read more

I came in on a Friday night around 8:30, it was my first visit to the place I've heard such great things about. The place was fairly empty, which I should have taken as a bad omen, but I was up there to meet a friend, so I stuck around for a while. The bartenders saw me come in so my first beer came right away, which is normally a good sign... then things got bad. The jukebox was so loud I couldn't have a conversation with the person I was sitting right next to. The bar is shaped strangely, and the TV's are all at terrible angles, so within minutes you have a neck cramp and a headache. Then my empty beer glass sat unattended for 17 minutes, I finally had to flag the bartender down to let her know I needed a beer-- I figured the empty glass would be an indicator. 5 minutes later I finally got it. Then the DJ walked in and started setting up his equipment, and I knew my night was about to get worse. He decided blasting crappy hip-hop "remixes" at an insane volume for a small crowd was sure to be a hit-- it was not. I finished my 2nd beer, and again waited close to 20 minutes for someone to notice. The bartenders refuse to make eye contact, so you have to physically flag them down to get their attention. Unless of course you're a regular-- then you get what I'd say above average service and conversation at the non-regulars' expense. While they're yapping away flirting for tips, I'm sitting here losing my temper. I couldn't stand it any longer. I'd been there for nearly 2 hours and had gotten only 2 beers (not for lack of trying, mind you) so I decided to pay up. Of course I couldn't get the bartenders' attention (Multiple bartenders, still couldn't keep up with a rather sparse crowd-- maybe 30 people in the whole building). Had time to go to the tiny restroom where 3 people were crammed in, no soap, no paper towels... back to the bar to pay up. 33 minutes I waited to GIVE THEM MONEY. Finally got my tab, paid, left to go to a much better spot. Draught beer was nice and cold in a frosty glass: +1 star. Indoor smoking/vapor/cigars (good for nicotine users): +1 star. read more

We are older and like the bar for the convenience. However, there is a girl there named Kelsey on Saturday nights and a girl on Friday with long black hair that are totally disrespectful. I questioned on Saturday why she was keeping our card, and Kelsey went off on me. Said do you know how many drunk people walk out of here and don't pay? I told her this is the first time our card has been held. She said I should give her the names of the other girls and she would have them fired. She continued to bitch me out and I told her to cash me out. My husband went up to pay and she began bitching him out about me. The other time, we were up there on a Friday, we know most of the girls on that night as this is our regular night. We were on the patio, speaking to our waitress, when the girl with the black hair, heavier set, came out and said to the waitress, oh I thought you were out here on the phone. (very snotty). It's like keep your business crap to yourself. Justin I love your bar, and your girls, but these two may have changed my mind. I'd give zero stars, if I could. Last night, I was here with two friends. Dollar beers on Wednesdays is a pretty sweet deal. We hung out there drinking and eating most of the evening. The service was pretty slow, but they were kind of busy and understaffed so it's understandable. They had one male and one female bartender working, and the girl took care of most of our orders. The male bartender brought out a pizza that we had ordered (40 minutes later). Our tab came and was 55 dollars. We didn't have them split it up and we paid 70$ in cash. (nearly a 30% tip). I usually tip over 20% since I used to work in the industry. For some reason, as we were walking out the door, the male bartender yelled "YOU GUYS SUCK AT TIPPING!" It took every ounce of self control to not go back and give him a piece of my mind. So if you want mediocre food, cheap drinks, slow service, and to be harassed and yelled at by a shithead bartender for no reason, be my guest. We will not be back. Side note, their menu says 3$ UV shots on Wednesdays which they wouldn't honor. So be careful about what "specials" they say they have, versus what they actually have. read more
