This is one of my favorite stops traveling to or from Santa Barbara! I absolutely love the café, the Matcha, coffee and food. Here is outstanding! I simply want everything in their store, so many beautiful HomeGoods and design ideas. They carry some of the best hard to find and local brands, I can't imagine a better place to stock and showcase my home with items from. Service is wonderful, they are so friendly and welcoming here. Plenty of easy parking, highly recommended also for gifts for friends, family or of course yourself!

Visited Field + Fort for brekkie not once but TWICE on our girls weekend getaway to Summerland. The cutest little gem of a cafe and store that sits parallel to the ocean where you're bound to a celebrity sighting on any given day. Walked to the cafe on Saturday morning while staying at the Inn about 200 ft away. It took a bit of time to work through the line but after ordering and sitting in the zen garden, my English muffin sandwich and coffee was delivered with a warm smile. The highlight was the fresh house made English muffin and habanero apricot jam. The jam was so good I'm still thinking about it. Loved our experience so much we came back the following morning. Ordered the breakfast sandwich this time around and it was just as good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Pricing is all reasonable considering the freshness and quality of the food. So glad to have discovered this gem and will most definitely be back when in or driving through the area.

Beautiful spot with a cafe and store. Lots of outdoor seating. Staff were really nice. I ordered the ginger eggplant sandwich and a matcha latter. Both were tasty. A bit pricey but not typical of the area.

This place is great! It's a restaurant and store all in one! Everyone is super nice and friendly. They will be able to assist if you have any questions. There are many food options to choose from. From pastries to food plates. Great prices.

I went to Field and Fort for the first time in Summerland last weekend! It is order at the counter style, with plenty of outdoor seating options that are first come, first serve. My partner and I split a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato jam (so good), and the Jerusalem feast. It was SO much food and everything was so tasty. The pita, dips, salad seasoning, and sandwich were all 10/10. I am already trying to plan my next visit!

Field and Fort is a gorgeous home store and restaurant. Our food was delicious and the portions were pretty big! Definitely stop by when you are in summerland or on your way over to Santa Barbara!

Sososo tasty and it's all very healthy! I ordered several dishes to try and I was impressed by the variety and how filling the dishes were. My #1 was the grilled cheese with tomato jam. I loved the tomato jam and would have loved to purchase a jar to take home and make my own grilled cheese with. it's also an interesting concept of a restaurant/cafe because they have a cute little homeware store right next to it that you can shop around while waiting for your food.

Stopped at Field + Fort on a drive up to Santa Barbara and was glad I did -- Summerland is a charming little town with a stretch of boutiques and coastal energy that makes you want to slow down and explore (wish I had more time to shop around!). The restaurant itself has limited parking, but there's nearby street parking and it's a short walk. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and the space is effortlessly styled -- rustic, beachy, and peaceful. It's also connected to a curated home goods shop, which adds to the full experience. I had the mushroom toast and a salad. Both were light and well-plated -- not the most bold in flavor, but still fresh and enjoyable. The menu is definitely vegetarian-friendly, which I appreciated. It was standard pricing for what you'd expect in southern California and for brunch lunch spot a long the beach so a little pricey but nothing crazy. More than just a place to eat, Field + Fort feels like a coastal escape. Between the ambiance, partial beach view, and the shop next door, it's worth the stop even if the food isn't the only highlight. A great spot if you're in the area and looking for a quiet, aesthetically pleasing brunch or lunch stop.

Food was great! Loved how flavorful the avacado toast was. The coffee was fairly strong if that's what you like.

Field & Fort is a charming blend of New England meets California. You order outside at the walk-up window, which keeps it casual, but everything feels classy--the food and beverages are absolutely delicious! They have hands-down the best hot or iced matcha, amazing beet hummus, always a gluten-free option (including their bread!), and scrumptious pastries. Plus, there's a beautiful gift shop inside. Definitely worth a visit!

My daughter loves this place and took us there for lunch. The line was long and it took 30min to order then another 35/40min to get the food so quite long overall. They were nice enough to spontaneously bring us a free scone for dessert for the long wait. We all had sandwiches: the breakfast, the Reuben and grilled cheese, honestly they all were delicious!! We also had a coffee, lemonade and a fizzy drink plus a cheesecake, bill was $100 so not cheap. The shop is super nice with really cool bougie assortment, also not cheap but very beautiful.

Grilled cheese and mixed greens salad was delicious!

Favorite spot for lunch! Great food and love the outdoor seating. Can be a long wait at peak times but worth the wait.

They've relocated into their own design studio, which feels like a sweet little house tucked just off State Street--warm, inspiring, and beautifully styled. They continue to host wonderful pop-ups featuring everything from jewelry and gluten-free bread to local and far-away artists, often with a strong focus on supporting women-owned businesses. It's always changing and always fun. Inside you'll find unique foods, beautiful antiques, special finds, and gorgeous pieces for the home. They also offer home design services--and judging by their space alone, they clearly get it right. Just look at the stunning Roman drapes hanging in the windows... swoon. This is a very special little spot. Definitely get on their mailing list to stay in the loop on pop-ups and events. I recently loved their lifestyle and equestrian-style clothing pop-up. This shop is converted from a charming house into a home decor store - located on a small hill with views of the ocean. I don't know many stores that 1. Have water views and 2. Are converted from a few million dollar home into a little shop. If for nothing else I come here for the views from the former main front living room because the view of the ocean and street you get is insanely gorgeous. Love that each room in this former house showcases all of her cute goods and items. They also have an outdoor patio which is lovely to sit to take a break from shopping. The owner / manager has been here everytime I come and she's so lovely. Always very welcoming and attentive. She's kind and helpful. I love the customer service here. According to the owner they will likely be closing for a few months because of some road work so I'd recommend coming now because a lot of the home goods and wears were discounted. They clearly are trying to move inventory if they know they'll be closing up shop for a little bit. Over the years I've always found nice little goodies here. For example a few months ago I purchased these beautiful artisan crackers for my charcuterie board. The crackers were pressed with edible flowers and were visually stunning! I received so many compliments on them because they totally made my appetizer plate. Also another item I've purchased here was a black leather foldable tissue box holder. It shows the variety of items they sell here. The reason I docked a star is just because this shop is significantly out of my price range. More power to them that they can make sales and have regular returning customers. Technically I am a returning customer but for smaller well priced items. For me this spot is out of my price range and it's hard to find things I like sometimes. That's more just for me but worth noting as some items do have a hefty price tag.

The result was horrendous. The vinyl was tucked, unprofessionally with big seams/creases at the corners, like a do it yourself job. We didn't care at the time - as long as it held up for the next 10 years, we were good. Come 2020 and that vinyl is getting annoying. Our butts stick to them, the chairs noticeably look bad relative to the rest of our furnishing, and most importantly, the kids aren't leaving have half their food on the seats. Santa Barbara Design Center has been here for a while and I stopped in randomly on the way to Home Improvement. I was introduced to Michael, a knowledgeable and personable chap. I showed him an online picture of the original chair, and that I wanted to restore the seat to its original, sleek, sculptural and refined splendor. He said no problem, provided a couple of premium quality fabric books, and we were on our way. We picked out the fabric and brought the chairs in. Michael commented "my god, who did this work?" 50% down and ten days later, chairs were done, with a message "come down and make sure you are happy." My wife and I looked, were pleased - Michael responded with "here's something that bothers me, I want you to see..." He flipped the chair over and on the bottom, the seat fabric was stapled just outside of the underside frame. You wouldn't see it normally, but from a distance or looking down from the side, you might. Immediately we thought the same thing, yeah, that's not ideal. He said it shouldn't be done like this, let me redo it for you, no charge. His upholsterer redid it, and boy those 8 chairs look great, almost better than the original! The seats came out sleek and wonderfully curved over the underlying pad. The fabric is comfortable, soft and elegant - couldn't be happier. The interior of SBDC fills a warehouse space and contains just about everything; furniture, rugs, lamps, etc. The staff were COVID compliant, and Michael was a dream to work with. He has an excellent eye for detail, is easy to work with, and is an honest broker; I wish we had more projects for him!
