I just left this place and I have to say that I was SO uncomfortable! The lady, who I'm assuming was the owner, was cold and uninterested and the man with the mask in all black was just creepy. He also works there. Both were following me around and were so obvious about it. I'm a Montecito resident and never ever have I dealt with such pretentious behavior. Also thought it was absolutely comical that she is selling a rug for $185 when you can find it on amazon for $22. Makes you wonder just how many of these "treasures" are manufactured junk from China. This cool antique mall is like 4 minutes from Montecito. Vintage jewelry is def def an absolute favvvvv. And so I wandered over to Summerland for an adventure. Also, the vintage, hand painted oil artwork here is ammmaze. The tomes as well, scattered everywhere and anywhere. On subjects I adore: modern art, flowers, and the classics all in hardcover, yep. The women on staff were delightful and polite and offered my pup a biscuit: very thoughtful. She even made a call in regards to customizing. I have my eye on a specific piece, which I'll return for; however, had to run to make my evening hike for now. read more

This place is overpriced and wiped off junk. The owner is really rude too. When we asked her for baskets that weren't $40 a piece, she told us to go to Goodwill. A scene straight from "pretty woman"! Not worth a visit folks. read more

Like many others, I have always driven by this antique shop and always told myself I would stop by one day. I finally stopped by this past Sunday! I had been looking for the perfect size/color antique glass/ormolu jewelry box for quite some time. I walked right in and took a look at some of the jewelry cases near the front of the store. I wasn't greeted right away which is fine since there was someone being helped up front. A while later I was asked if I was looking for anything specific, and said yes, a jewelry box, and asked where they have them. The woman working replied that they had so many different kinds all over the store. I told her I would take a look around. I walked around for a while and looked in all the different rooms and glass cases, and saw a beautiful glass jewelry casket with red velvet and rose details. The size was perfect, and the box was gorgeous and in great condition, but I was set on finding a box with peach-pink or teal velvet trim. After wandering for a bit more, the same woman asked what kind of jewelry box I was looking for. (Probably after seeing me fixated on the one case and taking a few pictures). I told her the vintage glass and metal style, and told her I saw one but would keep looking around. I wrapped around towards the back of the front counter area and there it was! A beautiful, 7-sided, glass ormolu jewelry box with light peach-nude velvet lining. It was a lot bigger than what I originally wanted, but it was beautiful and I couldn't resist coming back to it. I walked around for a bit longer to make sure I didn't miss anything, and to compare the two boxes. After not finding any other contenders, I asked the woman at the front if I could see something in the case. The box was absolutely perfect! It was in great vintage condition, the hinges still worked, and the velvet interior was clean. I told her It would be coming home with me. (Even though it was larger than what I originally wanted, I figured I would make room for it) It was a bit pricier than what I originally thought to spend, but compared to the smaller box it was only a $30-$40 difference, so I didn't mind. As I was paying, the woman then said she could do better on the price! (No haggling on my end needed) She also offered to clean the glass and wrap it in paper. I left a happy camper! If I was ever sure that a place deserved a 5 star review, this is one of those places. Oh my goodness. This place is simply amazing. A real gem. Very eclectic assortment of antiques that would make antique road show salivate. I am not the biggest antique store buff but I have seen my share all across the US. This place is a maze of rooms, each filled with more goodies than the last. The artifacts are well chosen. There is no junk to sort through. I could spend a couple hours at a time in this place. It almost feels like a museum where I can buy the pieces. If you are in SB or just driving through, put this on your bucket list. read more

The store is owned by the most lovely couple. They always seem to be enjoying themselves and have a smile to share. I've been here many times. The quality and selection is spectacular. Even if you are not in the market to buy anything, I would encourage you to go just for the sheer artistic enjoyment. There are beautiful rustic pieces out front and on the sides of the building. Inside you will find A veritable museum of paintings and artwork, as well as fantastic furniture, and furnishings. If you were looking for an antique store in Santa Barbara, this absolutely should be on your "must go see" list. read more

My wife and I have purchased items prior to the new owner(s), pricing was much different then,as well as attitude. A black haired women was extremely antagonistic to a lady who asked questions about a piece. She acted as she was doing the customer a favor by being in business, completely different than the prior owners. I must say a very nice grey haired women with a pony tail was quite friendly and helpful, hence the two stars. Disappointed, no illusions, probably will never go back. read more

Visited on holiday and looking perhaps to take some finds home. Our experience of the attitude of the proprietors ruined our holiday mood. We found the experience rude and unwelcoming. We got the impression pretty quickly that they would just soon we moved along and took our business elsewhere. We were happy to oblige and left. We were so surprised by the rudeness that we looked them up on Yelp after leaving, and sure enough: there are a number of reviews here noting how antagonistic and unwelcoming the staff are. I've been coming to this store every summer since I was a little girl. I'm a big fan of antiques and have been to many stores throughout the world. This is one of my favorites. The prices are insane. Don't expect to find anything for less than $300, but the quality and selection is absolutely amazing. Will continue to come back, even if it is to mostly window shop. read more

This place is THE WORST. Let me first start by saying it's really disappointing because I wanted it to be so good - I had heard good things from years ago and I wanted to try it out. I have heard it is under new ownership so maybe it was good in the past but now... not so much. The shop has several good dealers but I found that several were buying things at discount stores (I know this because the tags were still on the item) and passing it of as an "antique". Not cool. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS because they clearly gouge those who live in a wealthy area and they take advantage of their lack of knowledge of "antiques". The staff was extremely rude. Very condescending and not knowledgeable at all though the pretended to be. I ran into one dealer who was quite possibly the rudest person I'd come across in a long time. Nancy made it a point insult me at least 3 times in literally a 30 second span of time. I think when she realized she was being rude, she tried to back up and be nice but it was too late. I just left. Which is a real bummer because I'm looking for items to decorate as I'm a home stager, interior decorator as well as decorating my own newly purchased home in Montecito. So needless to say, won't be spending a dime in that shop and I certainly would not recommend it. read more

A cute spot with a mish mash of items...rather crowded so you have to rummage through quite a bit but if you have time to spend, it's fun to search. Be aware that the circa dates are rather loose and that there's quite a broad range of items. Happy hunting. read more
