This cool antique mall is like 4 minutes from Montecito. Vintage jewelry is def def an absolute favvvvv. And so I wandered over to Summerland for an adventure. Also, the vintage, hand painted oil artwork here is ammmaze. The tomes as well, scattered everywhere and anywhere. On subjects I adore: modern art, flowers, and the classics all in hardcover, yep. The women on staff were delightful and polite and offered my pup a biscuit: very thoughtful. She even made a call in regards to customizing. I have my eye on a specific piece, which I'll return for; however, had to run to make my evening hike for now.

Like many others, I have always driven by this antique shop and always told myself I would stop by one day. I finally stopped by this past Sunday! I had been looking for the perfect size/color antique glass/ormolu jewelry box for quite some time. I walked right in and took a look at some of the jewelry cases near the front of the store. I wasn't greeted right away which is fine since there was someone being helped up front. A while later I was asked if I was looking for anything specific, and said yes, a jewelry box, and asked where they have them. The woman working replied that they had so many different kinds all over the store. I told her I would take a look around. I walked around for a while and looked in all the different rooms and glass cases, and saw a beautiful glass jewelry casket with red velvet and rose details. The size was perfect, and the box was gorgeous and in great condition, but I was set on finding a box with peach-pink or teal velvet trim. After wandering for a bit more, the same woman asked what kind of jewelry box I was looking for. (Probably after seeing me fixated on the one case and taking a few pictures). I told her the vintage glass and metal style, and told her I saw one but would keep looking around. I wrapped around towards the back of the front counter area and there it was! A beautiful, 7-sided, glass ormolu jewelry box with light peach-nude velvet lining. It was a lot bigger than what I originally wanted, but it was beautiful and I couldn't resist coming back to it. I walked around for a bit longer to make sure I didn't miss anything, and to compare the two boxes. After not finding any other contenders, I asked the woman at the front if I could see something in the case. The box was absolutely perfect! It was in great vintage condition, the hinges still worked, and the velvet interior was clean. I told her It would be coming home with me. (Even though it was larger than what I originally wanted, I figured I would make room for it) It was a bit pricier than what I originally thought to spend, but compared to the smaller box it was only a $30-$40 difference, so I didn't mind. As I was paying, the woman then said she could do better on the price! (No haggling on my end needed) She also offered to clean the glass and wrap it in paper. I left a happy camper! I will definitely be back!

Wow. This is not an antique store, this is a little antique museum!!!! This place is great!!!

We got the roast beef sandwich and the peach scone. Ummm... yum? Everything was so delicious! The pastries shelf looked so good it was hard to choose but I love what we got! And the sandwiches are made on Levain bread so you know it's good. The roast beef was delicious as well. There's plenty of outdoor seating and it was such a peaceful environment right off the freeway. There's also a gorgeous huge home and gift shop that was fun to stroll through.

They have a nice outdoor seating area, although you can hear the traffic going by. The sweet porridge was tasty when it finally arrived, although the presentation was a little disappointing. It looked a bit like a sad face on the plate. I also expected a variety of fruit on top, but there was only one type of fruit. The biggest issue, though, was the candied pecans. They tasted rancid, and it wasn't just one bad nut. I had three bites of the pecans before giving up and started picking them out of the dish. That really detracted from the meal. If the pecans had been fresh, I would have enjoyed the dish a lot more.

They've relocated into their own design studio, which feels like a sweet little house tucked just off State Street--warm, inspiring, and beautifully styled. They continue to host wonderful pop-ups featuring everything from jewelry and gluten-free bread to local and far-away artists, often with a strong focus on supporting women-owned businesses. It's always changing and always fun. Inside you'll find unique foods, beautiful antiques, special finds, and gorgeous pieces for the home. They also offer home design services--and judging by their space alone, they clearly get it right. Just look at the stunning Roman drapes hanging in the windows... swoon. This is a very special little spot. Definitely get on their mailing list to stay in the loop on pop-ups and events. I recently loved their lifestyle and equestrian-style clothing pop-up. Check their business card for the exact address--see photo. it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

This shop is converted from a charming house into a home decor store - located on a small hill with views of the ocean. I don't know many stores that 1. Have water views and 2. Are converted from a few million dollar home into a little shop. If for nothing else I come here for the views from the former main front living room because the view of the ocean and street you get is insanely gorgeous. Love that each room in this former house showcases all of her cute goods and items. They also have an outdoor patio which is lovely to sit to take a break from shopping. The owner / manager has been here everytime I come and she's so lovely. Always very welcoming and attentive. She's kind and helpful. I love the customer service here. According to the owner they will likely be closing for a few months because of some road work so I'd recommend coming now because a lot of the home goods and wears were discounted. They clearly are trying to move inventory if they know they'll be closing up shop for a little bit. Over the years I've always found nice little goodies here. For example a few months ago I purchased these beautiful artisan crackers for my charcuterie board. The crackers were pressed with edible flowers and were visually stunning! I received so many compliments on them because they totally made my appetizer plate. Also another item I've purchased here was a black leather foldable tissue box holder. It shows the variety of items they sell here. The reason I docked a star is just because this shop is significantly out of my price range. More power to them that they can make sales and have regular returning customers. Technically I am a returning customer but for smaller well priced items. For me this spot is out of my price range and it's hard to find things I like sometimes. That's more just for me but worth noting as some items do have a hefty price tag.

The result was horrendous. The vinyl was tucked, unprofessionally with big seams/creases at the corners, like a do it yourself job. We didn't care at the time - as long as it held up for the next 10 years, we were good. Come 2020 and that vinyl is getting annoying. Our butts stick to them, the chairs noticeably look bad relative to the rest of our furnishing, and most importantly, the kids aren't leaving have half their food on the seats. Santa Barbara Design Center has been here for a while and I stopped in randomly on the way to Home Improvement. I was introduced to Michael, a knowledgeable and personable chap. I showed him an online picture of the original chair, and that I wanted to restore the seat to its original, sleek, sculptural and refined splendor. He said no problem, provided a couple of premium quality fabric books, and we were on our way. We picked out the fabric and brought the chairs in. Michael commented "my god, who did this work?" 50% down and ten days later, chairs were done, with a message "come down and make sure you are happy." My wife and I looked, were pleased - Michael responded with "here's something that bothers me, I want you to see..." He flipped the chair over and on the bottom, the seat fabric was stapled just outside of the underside frame. You wouldn't see it normally, but from a distance or looking down from the side, you might. Immediately we thought the same thing, yeah, that's not ideal. He said it shouldn't be done like this, let me redo it for you, no charge. His upholsterer redid it, and boy those 8 chairs look great, almost better than the original! The seats came out sleek and wonderfully curved over the underlying pad. The fabric is comfortable, soft and elegant - couldn't be happier. The interior of SBDC fills a warehouse space and contains just about everything; furniture, rugs, lamps, etc. The staff were COVID compliant, and Michael was a dream to work with. He has an excellent eye for detail, is easy to work with, and is an honest broker; I wish we had more projects for him!
