Showed up at 10:05am. Got told breakfast was over & lunch didn't begin until 1030am even though the food line was ready. They refused to make a taco even when I requested it since food was obviously ready & employees were standing around talking. Breakfast hours at 8am to 10am. Lunch begins at 1030am. Food here is convenient and good when I've gotten it before. I doubt I'll be back after the service. Just lock the door from 10-1030am if you're not going to serve food that is ready on the food line. read more

Completely underwhelming experience at the time. The food was mediocre- my fiance and I grabbed lunch here and it was the only thing we ate in common before both getting super sick the next morning. I wouldn't return or reccomend even prior to getting sick. read more

Chose this place last minute and looking for a quick bite. It was laid out much like a cafeteria style where you picked what you wanted on your dish. I selected the rice bowl Al Pastor steak with Mex rice, corn, guacamole, jalapeños and onions. Very tasty and ate the whole thing. Very enjoyable and I will be back to try other dishes on menu. Fri Lunch Pickup: I enjoy being able to pickup my order online; however, my rice chicken bowl today managed to turn into someone else's Chorizo salad bowl. Will be getting my rice bowl on Monday and update review. Monday Lunch Wait Update: Went "in line" and big difference between amount of food in the bowl versus the wrong order from Friday. There is a lot less. Maybe that is the difference between a salad and a rice bowl? Maybe it is because I let them know it was a remake? Looking through some of the other photos, maybe the rice bowl is supposed to have less? Granted rice is cheap, so could have added more to fill the bowl up a little more. Now to actually rate the food, which is really what ratings are about. I think their food is better than 3 stars, maybe 4 stars (if they were consistent). They grill their meat and veggies to keep the bar stocked with fresh during lunch (one piece of chicken I didn't eat, did not get heated on grill well enough), so no worries about either sitting in their prep area long. Although the chicken had a nice grill mark on it, I have decided it is from being precooked chicken with a factory char as it had that undercooked texture / flavor to it and it had the char. Seasoning and sauce has good flavor. More rice if it was added would not take away from the seasoning on existing food in the bowl. As far as organization goes though the line, its more than a little chaotic. You can forget the rotation like Subway does where people move along with your food. Its a little chaotic in that you have to repeat things as your food moves down the line of people adding it to your order. If one thing could improve, this could. I believe online ordering is the way to go, because I think when an online order goes in that it is handled by just a single person (would only make sense person gets info and does it all). It also seems like the goal is to put it into the bowl as fast as possible to get to the next in line, not necessarily the most hospitable feeling of being sent to the next, the next, the next, etc. So in the end, its all about food. ~3.5 star food, with an overall 3 star feel. If I could rate it around 3-1/2 I would. I don't think they deserve a 3 though. If I visit again, I will update my review. read more

I stopped in today (10/14/16) for lunch. I think this restaurant opened about 2 weeks ago. I ordered the spicy pork burrito. The burrito came with a side of rice, black beans, and corn. The food had a nice spicy kick and was very good. The burrito was very large and had very good flavor. The service was good and the burrito assembly line is very similar to Chipotle. My ticket including a soft drink was $10.08 (no tip). read more

Wow... This place will be closed soon. I had something that was described on the menu as a taco which was in fact a large dry handful of salty tough meat shards, topped with diced onions that had lost their "crisp" some time ago, all tucked inside a medium soft, cold, gummy, uncooked flour tortilla. I want to know who owns this restaurant and who thought they could pull off this grossly overpriced simple concept with absolutely no clue what quality control is and no idea what Mexican food (or texmex for that matter) is supposed to taste like. This restaurant actually serves a side which is canned yellow corn. The portions are too big, but that still doesn't justify the price, and certainly doesn't make up for the complete lack of freshness, quality, or taste. This restaurant is an insult to Huntsville, to Mexico, to food in general, and to anyone who has ever had a good business idea and the skills to execute it. Holy crap, it was bad. read more

I tried the rice bowl with chicken. Portions are plentiful. I thought the amount of chicken was good. Come with black beans and add on items that you choose. Choice of brown or white rice, you get plenty but is pretty tasteless. My friend had salad bowl and portions were good as well. I drive here weekly from Downtown Huntsville for lunch because it is SO yummy and delicious. I usually get the chorizo bowl, but I've never been disappointed by any items when I've gone rogue. Easy to get in and out of, fun atmosphere (especially the patio), excellent service (the manager David often comes out to say hello and check on customers), and the food truly cannot be matched. It's clear all the ingredients are made fresh daily down to the housemade tortilla chips. I just went yesterday for lunch and have now talked myself into going back today! The only downside is it's difficult to eat lunch elsewhere after having Fiero because again, freshness and flavor cannot be matched. read more

Arrived just after 10:30 am to beat any lunch crowd. There was no line yet, and we reached the counter immediately. The staff were very courteous and enthusiastic when speaking to us. I ordered a rice bowl with chorizo. The assortment of available toppings was very broad, and every topping I picked was tasty and fresh. Since guacamole was extra, I elected not to get any, but I may next time to compare to Chipotle. Overall, the portion size was easily as large as Chipotle's, if not larger (once I had added all of the toppings I wanted, which is exactly what I do at Chipotle). There seemed to be more primary options at Fiero, as there was fish, steak, chorizo, chicken, and grilled vegetables. For the two meals I paid for (no drinks), the total came out to just over $17. As anyone on the Arsenal knows, it is tough to eat for less than $8 at the food trucks, so this is a competitive non-fast-food option, and the bowl was competitive on price with Chipotle. Being several miles closer to my office than Chipotle tips the balance in Fiero's favor in my book. read more

I love the group in here and especially appreciate the $5 burrito Mondays! One visit I ordered the Salad Bowl with Grilled Fresh Vegetables and I didn't feel like it was a bowl of lettuce with a few veggies. They are generous in serving and positive in spirit. Fiero is a slightly inferior, slightly more expensive Moe's/Chipotle clone. Steak burrito + chips/salsa + drink + Guillermo's churro chips was $17 for lunch. The steak burrito was not as good as Chipotle's and at $10 overpriced. The chips and salsa were fine, but at $4 overpriced. The churro chips looked like someone put chips, cinnamon, and sugar in a bag, threw them out the window of a moving car, waited for a truck to run over the bag, and served. Not sure if they were supposed to be annihilated like that but it did make them a little hard to eat. The environment is quite nice and part of a new development that is very convenient to Redstone Gateway. The service was good and the employees were engaged and trying to impress. On the whole a reasonable dining experience but not a sufficient value to make it into the regular rotation - need to turn that $17 into $12 and then it would happen. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here. I was very disappointed. It's an assembly line burrito place. I had the Honey Lime Grilled Chicken burrito. Tortilla was cold and pasty. Chicken was cold and overly seasoned. They put a lump of flavorless rice and mushy beans on my plate. I will not go back. My wife and daughter opted for this place a few weeks ago, but I opted out because it was so new. I noticed that their portions were quite large (side-eye, i knew this wouldn't last long) and they raved about the taste. I'm a huge Chipotle fan; they're hard to imitate in my mind because their food is clean and the tastes of all ingredients stand alone-- coming together for a great fusion of flavors. I'm one that waits for new establishments to get past the "new car smell"-- so I opted for it today under a time crunch. Arrived around 12:30pm and the place wasn't crowded at all. The crew was nice and engaged-- but tried to skimp me on the portions. I had to ask for more cabbage believe it or not. The proteins looked old sitting on the serving line-- even the black beans seemed dried out. The taste was sub par compared to Chipotle and even Moe's (who isn't high on my list either). I got the rice bowl with the chorizo stuff (yuck)-- don't even!! Thought about the tortilla encrusted fish- but thought that couldn't go well. Bottom line-- I'll stick with the tried and true Chipotle. They meet the mark on assembly line manufactured burrito thingys. Good luck! read more
