They also had dumbed down on the adult selections. Lots of children books. I have bought some books but the store managers need to do some drastic changes here. They carry a little bit of everything--electronics, household items, mini bikes, and even some name-brand finds at discounted prices. I was especially surprised by their large selection of perfumes. Just keep in mind, the experience really depends on the day you visit since they restock frequently. The day I went, there was still plenty to choose from and lots to browse through. That said, I didn't quite come across one of those crazy "steals" that people online rave about--but I can see how you might if you hit it on the right day. Overall, it's worth checking out if you enjoy digging for deals and don't mind a bit of a hunt.

Another day, another King Dollar. What is so different about this one from the others? It is…read morepacked to the hilt. There are not unopened cartons in the isles and is always pretty busy. You can tell this is a privately owned one and usually pardon my ethnic naiveness but seem to be run by mideastern personnel. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? These group of people usually are more diligent in up keeping the supply and demand in their stores. You will find everything and additional items you might not see at the other King dollar locations. What was the best deal that you cannot find in the other dollar stores as an example? A brick (10 packages to a box) of spearment gum. That's about 100 little pieces of square packaged gum for $1! I bought a box the week earlier to test out to see if the gum is ligit and yep it sure is. Oh, by the way, I came back and bought the last 18 boxes so you are stuck with the peppermint, better get to them while they last. (July period, 2013). This location is right by the eStar buffet that is always crowded. Parking for the times I have been there have been very ample but will be challengable at peak times with the buffet a few doors down. Not all stores carry the flourescent *sp* light bulbs anymore, not sure because of supply, but this place does carry them.

Everything is cheap, and they don't usually get too busy cuz there's a lot of dollar stores around here. Barbi thinks it's not as good as Dollar Tree, because it's more expensive, but it's better than Dollar General, which was always my place. She's honestly in love with dollar stores, and it seems like she has been into almost every single one in town, and she says this one is a-okay as they say. I agree with her even though I've only been inside once. I've been inside her more than once though. Once a day maybe. Or twice. Or three times a lady. In the street, but something else in the bed.

To be clear, there was a register open (and the cashier was working hard to get the line down despite the numerous items customers were flinging on the register). Yet, I think they could have called for backup a little bit sooner than they did. I decided to walk around the store and tempt myself to buy more bargains versus waiting in line. When I returned to the register, another register was luckily opened to assist with the afterschool/work traffic. The cashiers were very friendly and didn't seem bothered with the amount of traffic that the store was receiving, which I have to give them credit for--especially for being able to multitask and ring up items and answer random questions from customers coming into the store. Therefore, I will rank this store with an overall best rating for not cracking under pressure. BTW: Parking lot is clean and located behind the Burger King. Also has a freezer section.
